Digital X-rays offer a huge advantage in early detection and preventive services. Advanced image manipulation and analysis, for example, allows your doctor to detect early stages of gum disease through recognition of bone level changes, or by evaluating the results against a previous treatment.

An intraoral camera is an indispensable diagnostic and educational tool. The tiny video camera moves around inside of your mouth and generates a tooth by tooth video exam of your teeth. Using an intraoral camera allows patients to better understand their dental needs by seeing what the dentist sees and then having it explained.

Lasers are a non-surgical approach to arresting the progression of periodontal disease. Following scaling and root planing, a laser is used to significantly reduce the bacterial colonies and decontaminate the infected periodontal pocket. Lasers also remove the infected tissue lining the periodontal pocket. As the infected tissue is removed, microscopic blood clots form and your body's natural healing response takes over. As you heal, the tissue reattaches to the bone and your gums return to a healthy infection-free state.

All female staff, all staff members were lovely to interact with. Dr. Jillian Felton was incredibly patient with all my questions and took her time explaining and educating me. Never going to anyone else!

I had a very poor experience here, with the office manager Lydia. There was a discrepancy with the scheduling of an appointment on their end for the oral surgeon. I was accused of making the appointment up, and when I asked to move the conversation along to when the next availability is (because she wanted to harp on it and I was on my lunch hr), she literally wanted me to sit in an office and chastise me about what made me think I had an appt and insulting me by asking me what the definition of an appointment is. After being held up an entire hour (my full lunch break) I just wanted my dental records as this was obviously not a good fit for me and even after offering to sit in the lobby and wait for the records (to end the still continuing debate that she is keeping going about the appt) and treatment plan I was threatened to have the police called on me because she WOULD NOT RELEASE THE RECORDS, and was basically holding me there, I guess to insight anger! When I finally did get the records, she had done something to the discounts applied through my insurance and the office and raised the bill higher because I found my original print out! I guess based on how they feel about you is what truly determines your balance, an already much inflated balance. I suggest watching out for the office staff, they seem incompetent and very unprofessional, and I would also get a second opinion before committing to their treatment plan because the prices are probably inflated out the you know what and determined by what they feel about you and think you have... If she would be so unscrupulous and act with such a lack of integrity in that instance, the practice should be keeping an eye on her too! Ps. It was going to cost me $12,000 out of pocket AFTER insurance (I have great insurance) per Lydia's print out to have two teeth extracted an two implants put in their place (google the cost of full porcelain veneers and tell me 12k for two teeth sounds right)... $20,000k to insurance!

New customer who hasn't been to the dentist in a few years. The staff is incredible and friendly. The dentist was amazing and gave me a detailed outline of what I needed to do to see improvement. I look forward to working continuously with my new dentist family so that I can have the best oral health. Highly recommend

New patient . Today was my 2nd visit and I will say this . You will wait LONGER than the time it takes to complete the services . spent 6 hrs today, majority of that time was waiting on the Doctor and still unable to get my teeth cleaned. SERVICE TOTAL TIME maybe 2.5 hrs the rest was me literally waiting in the room, while Dr. Assist others. No one called ahead of time to inform me or anything that the cleaning would not be done today Or that they were short staff . I was told after my mouth was already numbed .I think she may have been the only dentist in office because she kept bouncing from room to room and everything just seemed unorganized. I chose this clinic due to how close it is to my condo . Clinic will succeed if they get more organized and manage their timing/scheduling better . Giving them another opportunity mainly because it's close to my house .

Made 2 appointments for my husband and I for noon and 12:30. We did all new patient paperwork online. After waiting for sometime to even get checked-in at 12:30 they inform us that they are running a bit behind. They still weren't ready to see either of us. Also, they would only be able to do cleanings on availability and it's not guaranteed same day. So after all of the waiting, this would only be for x-rays. I informed them that I would need to cancel my appointment for today and to just see my husband instead since that's all we'd have time for today. So very upsetting as I've been having tooth sensitivity and really needed to see someone. Their office just seems really inefficient. People are very very nice but just inefficient. I don't understand why you cannot just make and appointment for x-rays and at least cleanings. Only reason why I gave this office a try was due to the good reviews and proximity to where we just moved to but I'll be making the drive to my old dentist office since they are awesome.

Dr. Felton and her team were awesome to work with and it was a great experience!! They were all so kind and gentle with me and explained everything up front before doing any additional work outside of my cleaning. Highly recommend them and LaShondra for your cleaning!!

TL:DR Don't use the website, call in to make your appointments. Edgewood Smiles has been pushing their website as the method of booking appointments and keeping track of your records and such. The issue I keep running into is I make an appointment for a specific time, for example 3:00 PM, 2 months away. I then get an email 2 days before the appointment asking me to confirm my appointment for 1:30 PM. Well, wait a minute, that isn't the time I selected. The thing they aren't telling you is that if you are going for a routine Exam/Cleaning BOTH the Dentist and Hygienist need to be available at that time to see you. The Website lets you select any time you wish but only shows the available times for the Dentist and not the Hygienist. If both of them aren't available you're out of luck. Can't make 1:30 PM because you have a life going on? Asked for time off from your boss already? Better re-schedule your appointment for another 2 months away and gamble that BOTH professionals are available. They don't explain this to you when it happens. You just get an email asking you to confirm your appointment for a time you didn't choose. I've tried using the channels that Edgewood Smiles is promoting but I have been trying to get my teeth cleaned for 4 months and had 4 appointments re-scheduled to times that are incompatible with my work schedule. The only solution is to call in, and talk to a real human person who can cross-reference the schedules of the people that can give you the care you're seeking. The care you receive after navigating the useless website is great which is why I'm STILL dealing with this nonsense. So, yeah. Just call. Call them. Website Bad. Communication through website bad. Not good.

Staff was super welcoming and professional. Office is clean and comfortable. Also, a lot of updated machines and everything was pain free for the dental work I had completed. Ladayja took the x-rays super quick and got the perfect picture the first time, she knew exactly where to place the little pieces lol. Dr. Sampat is patient, kind and gentle made me super commutable sitting in the seat. Hygienist and Hyg Assistant cleaning was superb and I was not in any pain during the process. Nicole, thoroughly explained what my insurance covered and what was owed. Overall, a great experience and if you are looking for a dentist office be sure to ask for the mentioned names you will not be disappointed.

Today coming in to the office I was a bit nervous, and anticipating severe pain in preparation for my deep scale cleaning. My past experiences Have always been painful. So I expected the same. I'm happy to say that it was just the opposite my hygienist Napoleon did a phenomenal job. He finished my cleaning and there was little to no pain. What's my deep scale cleaning was finished my amazing dentist Dr. Felton followed up with a laser treatment and a discussion about the plan for my next visit. Thank you both for easing my anxiety and one of the "Best" dental experiences of my life. Edgewood Smile Dentistry has a patient for life.
