In 1988, Stephen Edgerton DDS sought to further his education at the world-renowned Pankey Institute, completing all six continuum classes, as well as additional coursework in Esthetics, Advanced Occlusal Therapy, and Sleep Disorders. Since then his ongoing participation in the Master's Forum has allowed him to study with the world's most respected dental educators. He's furthered his knowledge and skills, and is providing his valued patients with an array ofexpert dental servicesthat truly address their every concern.
Today, Dr. Edgerton is one of the most highly educated of Wilmington dentists - he is an active Pankey Study Club member. He loves to continue his quest for lifelong learning and development. This quest led Dr. Edgerton to recently become certified inInvisalign.

The Edgerton family enjoys golfing and boating, and Dr. Edgerton has been active in Boy Scouts and the Rotary Club for several years. She has partnered with an exceptional dentist who has been in the profession for over 30 years her father, Dr. Steve Edgerton. The philosophy that she shares with her father is one that is focused on providing individualized care with attention to detail. Both doctors take the time to listen to their patients and build their trust via open communication with their patients. By building relationships with their patients Dr. Glenn and Dr. Edgerton are able to provide dentistry that patients are confident in the choices they made to achieve optimum oral health.
She completed her education at North Carolina State University-receiving her Bachelor of Science in Zoology, minor in Spanish. She then attended the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill and received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery. Prior to joining practice with Dr. Steve Edgerton, she has worked with several offices in the surrounding area that have allowed her to become the dentist she is today.

We use the most up-to-date research, education, and equipment to provide care for our patients. Thats extremely important since this industry is constantly changing.

I went inn for a sleep appliance and was told Medicare had never refused to reemburse patients who barely survive on SS. But I was denied a$3000.0 expenditure because this dentist never called Medicare for PRE-AUTHORIZATION. I have had to really struggle financially because of this. UPDATE..the pulmonologist who sent me to edgerton and glenn called them to intercede on my behalf. I still have not heard one word from this practice. I would NOT recommend them to anyone as being an honest business practice. I doubt they have to survive in this economy on only social security. Medicare even told me it would have been so simple if only they had called for pre-authorization. Just inhumane...

The most professional Dentist office I have ever been to. From receptionist, tech people and Dr. Glenn, the total experience defines excellence. Dr Edgerton has been my dentist since 1999. Thru abscesses, caps and crowns and just cleanings and checkups. He is always updated on the latest procedures and equipment. Steve and his staff are very professional while at the time treat you like you are their most important patient! You will never have regrets if you choose him as your dentist!!

I'm beyond happy-- I'm ecstatic with the extreme expertise and superb bedside manner of Dr. Edgerton. I went for a repair to my porcelain veneer that another so-called "cosmetic " dentist totally botched. Dr. Edgerton is nothing less than an artist, CERTIFIED by AACD. There is no comparison to his skills. I traveled an hour from my home to see him, and it was WELL worth it. He should be in Beverly Hills!
