Even though Edelweiss Dental is our new name, we have been serving the North Portland community, on this block, for over 38 years. We pride ourselves on delivering the highest standards, not just of dental care, but in service. You will not feel as if you are herded cattle, and you will not nd a revolving door of young training dentists here at our ofce. Tanya is very passionate about dental hygiene! Her hygiene philosophy is to provide the highest quality of care, while helping her patients maintain a healthy smile. Her goal is to create a welcoming experience by presenting patients options for their dental hygiene, so THEY can choose what is right for them!
Her favorite thing about being your dental hygienist is hearing the patient stories. She loves learning new things from the patients that sit in her chair. So please dont come shy to your dental cleanings !
In her free time, she enjoys tropical vacations and camping (two extremes). She loves photography, decorating and setting up for small events and parties! She also stays busy by being a mom to three young boys!
After graduating from Portland Community College with full accreditation, Angelina has had the pleasure of working with patients for 3 years. She is left handed, so she can approach your teeth from a different angle than most hygienists ;) And she speaks fluent Russian, as she immigrated to the US in 2006. She is always open to teaching you some Russian!
Kendra loves helping others through dentistry. As a Dental Assistant she is fulfilled by so many rewarding moments of meeting patients, getting to know them, and helping them achieve their dental goals.
Jackie is our foodie! Not only does she love to cook, but she enjoys discovering new food places, and reviewing them. Lately, she has been experimenting with sauces and what that does for her food. Although she is not a picky eater, she is allergic to shrimp, but she sometimes takes will take the risk.
Jackie is learning a lot when it comes to dentistry, she is newer to the field, and has spent 2 years working in general dentistry and endodontics. She loves working with kids and has a lot of experience with patients who do not love coming to the dentist!
She really values smiles that are transformed. She is currently in the process of transforming her smile, as she has invested in braces for herself! It makes her happy when people dedicate their time and energy to having a healthy smile, and shell be the first to notice when they do!
Susan has been helping people through dentistry for over 13 years. She started many years ago working in an orthodontic office while she was in high school. She loved it so much she applied to the Clackamas Community College Dental Assisting program. She has been working in private practice general dentistry for her entire career. Some of you may recognize her as she was a dental assistant at our office before moving into the position of patient care coordinator. Her extensive knowledge and experience with clinical care make her an excellent resource for any questions you may have!
In her free time you will find her on the back of her boyfriend Kevin's Harley Davidson. They love to take road trips and try to visit at least one national park each year. In addition to road tripping on long weekends, she likes to travel to new places, work on her house/yard, read from her large book collection, and take her black lab, Bear, for a walk or hike. She has since retired from long distance running, but before that she completed 18 half marathons, the Portland Marathon, and Hood to Coast.
Marissa is a hybrid of the perfect team member. She has worked as a Patient Care Coordinator and Insurance Coordinator for 15 yrs., and was a Dental Assistant for 4 years. With her experience and dental background, she can be fluid throughout the entire office.
Dr Dole grew up in a small town in eastern Washington and later attended Washington State University, where he earned a dual major in English and Biomedical Sciences. He then earned his DMD at Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine in 2015.
Dr Dole seeks to create a positive and welcoming environment where people can feel comfortable and know that they are valued. Working with all the different people in our Portland community is one of his favorite parts of being a dentist. People are always at the core of Dr Doles approach to dentistry.
While dentistry is a serious business, Dr Dole loves to bring some lightheartedness to the patient experience at Edelweiss Dental. He wants to have fun in the office and help patients feel at ease throughout their treatment, and when doing so he finds dentistry to be the most fun and fulfilling.
Dr Dole is a member of the SPEAR Faculty Club, which is a group of like-minded clinicians committed to lifelong learning from one of dentistrys top continuing education providers. He is also a member of the Academy of General Dentists, and American Dental Association. His goal is to provide comprehensive care to his patients, including esthetic dentistry, endodontics, oral surgery, orthodontics, and emergency dental care.
Dr Dole loves the outdoors, especially the mountains! His passion is snowboarding, and he can be found at Mt Hood or Mt Bachelor often each winter. He also loves the Oregon coast so Portland was the perfect city for his dental practice. He also enjoys Portlands many amazing restaurants and bars, and cooking at home with his Big Green Egg. And of course, he enjoys this all with his wife Jennifer and son Ezra.
Dr. Hahn is proud to be the third dentist in his family to carry on the family tradition of exceptional dentistry married with the quality of personal service. He grew up in his fathers dental practice in Germany many years ago, and practicing dentistry has been his dream of his for as long as he can remember.
Dr. Hahn believes that every patient has the right and ability to be in control of their own dental needs, whether it is preventative, cosmetic, or emergency. Peace of mind is rarely associated when you think of going to the dentist. But Dr. Hahn believes that by understanding you as his patient, using a thorough and gentle approach, everybody can have peace of mind and feel confident in their dental choices.
With more than a decade of experience, Dr. Hahn has spent time honing his skills and seeking out only the most respected, peer reviewed continuing education courses. These courses, help him to continue to drive modern advancements and stay on top of the latest developments. Paired with his natural ability to make you feel welcome, comfortable, and understood, this will ensure you and your family feel right at home.
Living in Germany throughout his childhood, Dr. Hahn fell in love with the European Alps. This inspired the name Edelweiss Dental. Edelweiss, is a pristine white flower that grows high above the tree line in the European Alps. It has always reminded him of the beauty in nature and he believes it is an excellent representation of the practice.
As a North Portland resident, Dr. Hahn enjoys riding his bike around the surrounding community. You may also find him at the local restaurants enjoying their latest brew or a tasty appetizer. In addition to that, his efforts to keep up with his 2 young boys, Lukas and Stefan, is what keeps him young and active. He is also very proud of the fact that he has been voted, Worlds Best Papa, 7 years running from his boys. They enjoy doing boy things, which includes building forts, going adventure exploring, and fishing.
Dr. Bassili has many years of experience placing implants and doing difficult endodontic procedures. He comes to our office on an as needed basis, and works closely with our team and patients to ensure a smooth process. We encourage our patients to keep these services in one place which allows closer monitoring of healing throughout the implant process. This is a great benefit to our patients.
We enjoy our implant days! Dr. Bassili is a joy to have in the office. He is a friendly, compassionate, and funny guy! Along with that, he has all of the schooling to back up his technical ability. He graduated from dental school at OHSU School of Dentistry and achieved his Endodontic Specialty at the University of Washington School of Dentistry.
