He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Hampden-Sydney College. After earning his DDS from West Virginia University, Dr. Brett stayed in Morgantown and completed his Masters of Science in Orthodontics at WVU. Dr. Brett had a stellar academic career both in college and dental school and he received multiple awards including Deans Lists in college and dental school, All Academic Old Dominion Athletic Conference, the American Student Dental Association Award of Excellence, the Oral Biology Award, and many others.
In addition to his busy work schedule, Dr. Brett maintains a rigorous commitment to continuing education and learning. Every year, Dr. Brett attends multiple orthodontic and dental courses all around the country to provide the best clinical care for his patients. He also is very active in local charities and has served on multiple boards locally and throughout the state. Dr. Brett believes in giving back and that making the world a better place should be a mission in every professionals life.
Dr. Brett and his wife Melanie have two children, two dogs, and a cat. When they arent attending a sporting event or volunteering at a local charity event, they can often be found enjoying any of the various outdoor activities that southern West Virginia has to offer. The Eckley family also attends church locally.
Dr. Eckley began his orthodontic practice in Beckley in 1974. He has since opened offices in Oak Hill, Summersville and Pineville to better serve patients. He is a native to Huntington, West Virginia and attended Marshall University
Dr. Edward Eckley earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from West Virginia University. While in dental school, he was awarded a Board of Governors scholarship and the Senior Award in Dental Radiology. Dr. Eckley completed his orthodontic training at WVU with a Master of Science degree in Orthodontics, which required original research and a thesis.
Having served a three-year tour of duty as an Army dentist, Dr. Eckley was awarded three Bronze stars, the Vietnam Air Medal, the Vietnam Army Commendation Medal, and a Certificate of Appreciation in Dentistry from the United States Army.
Dr. Eckley is certified as a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and is a member of the College of Diplomates of the American Board of Orthodontics. The American Board of Orthodontics is recognized by the American Dental Association as the only certifying Board in the specialty of orthodontics. Nationally, only 20% of orthodontists have achieved this distinction. Moreover, he is a forensic dentist, having served during Katrina.

Melanie is our office manager and has been with the office since 2004. Melanie is a true soccer mom one of her favorite activities is hanging out on the sidelines watching her boys play soccer. Angela has been with us for 19 years, starting at the front desk as a receptionist and moving on to her current position as a Financial Coordinator. She enjoys spending time with family, shopping, reading, fishing, and taking walks. Angela welcomed her first grandbaby this year.
Danielle is a Treatment Coordinator and has also been a Orthodontic Technician in her 19 years with us! In her free time, Danielle spends time with her family, watching her son play baseball and her daughter play softball.
Debbie joined us four years ago as an Orthodontic Technician, bringing with her nearly 28 years of experience in two Northern Virginia practices. She has certifications in Invisalign, Technician Supervisor, Lab (Study Models, Retainers), and Indirect Bonding. Her hobbies are sewing, singing, gardening, and pets.
Deb is our Front Desk Coordinator and has been with us 26 years. The quote she lives by? Whatever your lifes work is, do it well! Debra enjoys movies, attending church, playing with her pets, and most of all, making my family smile.

Were proud to say that Gina has been with our practice for 34 years and is currently serving as Adult Patient Coordinator and Orthodontic Assistant. Mandy is an Orthodontic Assistant who joined us five years ago. She enjoys reading, spending time with her daughter, Presley, and her boyfriend, Richard. What she likes about her job: I love getting to work with patients everyday!

Nicole is one of our Orthodontic Technicians, joining us in August 2013. She had a background in nursing and computer programming before she discovered orthodontics. Nicole enjoys reading, gardening, bass fishing, and anything involving her three daughters. On weekends, she enjoys packing a picnic lunch to travel or explore a new area with family and friends.

Stacy is our receptionist and has been with us for almost two years. She enjoys spending time with family, Harley riding, and being outdoors.
