After graduating from Saginaw Valley State University cum laude with a B.S. in biology and chemistry Dr. Eby attended the University of Michigan Dental School. After receiving his Doctorate of Dental Surgery he completed an ADA accredited General Practice Residency at the Detroit Veterans Administration Medical Center, Detroit, MI.
In 2017, Dr. Eby was awarded his Mastershipfrom the Academy of General Dentistry. A 'Master' in the Academy of General Dentistry (MAGD) has been recognized by other general dentists as a leader and exemplifies to other dentists the importance of quality continuing dental education. To earn the distinction of MASTER more than 1700 hours of post doctorate education must be completed along with a rigorous examination. Approximately 3000 dentists have earned this distinction since 1964
With a special interest in advanced digitaltechnology Dr. Eby takes aspecial pride of his knowledge with same day crown visits utilizing CEREC.Dr. Eby is a CEREC mentor and trainerfor Patterson Dental. Healso uses 3D digital imaging to provide the most predictable and safe methodto place dental implants, this technology also allows airway screening for those who suffer from OBSTRUCTIVE SLEEP APNEA . As someone with sleep apnea Dr. Eby loves to help those who cannot wear a CPAP benefit from an ORAL SLEEP APPLIANCE.
In 2003, 2005, and 2006 Dr. Eby was listed in Americas Top Dentists issue of Consumer Research. He received the 1998 Comprehensive Clinic Care Award and the Organization of Teachers Oral Diagnosis Award while at the University of Michigan.
Dr. Eby is currently a member of the American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association, Central District Dental Society, International Association of Orthodontics, and the Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Eby feels that prevention is the key to good long-term oral health with an emphasis on education. This allows patients to make well-informed decisions about their dental care. He understands that each patient is unique and uses all available options to satisfy their specific needs. He also works very closely with local specialists to achieve maximum results. He is committed to helping everyone in his community to beas HEALTHY as possible!
Dr. Eby regularly attends continuing education courses and participates in more than 100 hours per year. His interests include crown and bridge, implant dentistry, sleep apnea,and orthodontics. Outside of the office, Dr. Eby enjoys exercise, baking using a wood oven, and spending time with his wife and three children.
Laurie graduated in 1988 from LCC with an Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene. Lauries caring, compassionate and kind personality has endeared her to her patients for the past 20 + years, while offering gentle, professional excellence in care.
Becky joined our team with 17 years of dental knowledge. Her passions include family, friends, and the world of health and wellness. Striving to make others happy means success! Just a smile and kindness can make the world a better place!

Dr. Eby was my dentist 17 years ago when he practiced in Bay City. I was glad to reconnect with him since moving to Okemis, I was always disappointed that he left BC. Great dentist, great staff, very thorough and excellent chair side manner. He's hygienists are great too! Glad to be in their care again!

I love this office, clean, professional, welcoming friendly staff. And the doctor is amazing. I myself don't have a fear, but for anyone who doesn't like needles or shots, Dr. Eby is the best. The problem is not with the needle or shot itself, it's the person administering it, and Dr. Eby is as gentle as one could be.

Yeah not bad really really not bad I mean there's a reason this place only has five star reviews this whole section of the town from here to jolly to hagadorn or pretty much the end of okemos and the start of East Lansing the whole area really just seems to have notch pretty much everything pretty much except for the 7-Eleven but everything else seems pretty tough notch I got to say

My visit was excellent, as always. Every person I interact with at Eby Dental Care is pleasant and professional. I especially want to thank Laurie for the extra attention she provided during my hygiene process. I had unslighly brown stains on my teeth. She did a masterful job removing them, which I greatly appreciate. We think they were caused by Crest ProHealth mouthwash with fluoride. Laurie was also able to suggest another product that shouldn't cause staining.
