Hisham Merdad, BDS, DSCD, is a Board Certified pediatrician trusted by children and parents alike to keep kids up on their oral health. Dr. Merdad understands that children are individuals with their own personalities and preferences, and he customizes each childs treatment according to their temperament and level of concern. Because children are often intimidated by dental work, Dr. Merdad aims to make dental visits a fun experience for everyone involved. Dr. Merdad began his education in dentistry at Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine, where he graduated with his doctorate in dental public health in 2011. He then moved to New Jersey for his residency training in pediatric dentistry. After finishing his residency in 2012, he taught at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry as an assistant professor of pediatric dentistry. He has lived in Virginia since 2014 and took ownership of Easy Dental Care in 2018, where he serves childrens dental needs in Gainesville, Virginia, and the surrounding area today.
Dr. Merdad is an active member of the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the American Association of Public Health Dentistry. With his extensive experience in public dental health and pediatric dentistry, he has the knowledge and experience to provide quality care for kids of all ages and assurance to their parents.
Zuwena Abraham, DDS, takes a compassionate approach to dentistry. In fact, her mantra says it all: Treat patients the way I want to be treated. With Dr. Abraham in control of your oral health, you are guaranteed to feel comfortable and confident throughout your dental treatment.
Dr. Abraham completed her education in San Francisco at the University of California School of Dentistry. From there, she moved to Virginia to apply her expertise as a dentist. She has lived in Virginia practicing general dentistry for more than 10 years, using the latest advancements and proven techniques in the field to ensure successful treatment for each patient. Dr. Abraham understands that dental care can be intimidating for many patients, so she makes comfort a priority.
Katie joined Easy Dental Care in January 2020 after completing dental assistant training school in 2019. She works hard to make our office a fun place to be and makes sure patients are comfortable by meeting their needs. She loves the kids, the staff and being able to boost patients self-esteem with a beautiful smile! Katie is also a food connoisseur in her spare time.
Kendall has been working with our team since she completed dental assisting training school in 2015. She went on to earn her Bachelor of Science degree in biology with a minor in chemistry from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2019. She will receive her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from George Washington University by 2022. Kendall oversees and monitors the day-to-day operations of the practice and assists the doctor during procedures. She does her best to ensure our patients have a pleasant experience, and she also assists the front desk with their daily tasks. She enjoys working with an encouraging staff and amazing patients!
Leslie started with us in February 2020. She first came to Easy Dental Care as a patient with her family and fell in love with the staff and the doctors and was soon given the opportunity to work here. She loves getting to work with her coworkers, the doctors and the kids. In her spare time, Leslie loves going on hikes and enjoys painting.

Dr Mardad is an amazing doctor! very professional along with his great team. Always accommodating and taking all the parents concerns for their kids seriously and guiding them in the best of their interest. My son really likes him a-lot and is never afraid of going for his routine checkups at all. I would highly recommend him for all the dental work your kids need. Your kids will love him!

Took my 2 year old to her first dental appointment at this location. There was no wait time and the staff was accommodating from the moment we entered until the moment we left. The dental assistants were so patient with my daughter, who was a little scared. Dental assistant Nancy helped to make my daughter laugh and Dr. Merdad was super informative and explained everything throughly. They even have a cute gum ball style turn machine for prizes at the end of the visit.

This was my kids first visit to the dentist. Literally my 3.5 yrs old said my the dentist is so cool! The staff was awesome despite the fact that I thought my appointment was 30 minutes prior than what I thought. The reviews r correct, 5 stars for sure! That's why I chose them and will continue to be with them. Dr Merdad is so great with kids.
