Dr. Lee is a Seattle native. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Washington and continued on to graduate with a doctorate from the UW School of Dentistry. His interest in treating children led him to pursue a pediatric residency, which he also completed through the University of Washington. This residency program provided training in all aspects of pediatric care including childhood development, preventive care, behavior management, conscious sedation, dental trauma and care of children with special health care needs. Dr. Lee is married and has two young sons.
The most common forms of sedation used in dentistry are inhaled, oral, and intravenous sedation. While sedation dentistry makes the procedure more tolerable for you, it is important to understand that they are not painkillers, and you will still require the use of dental anesthetic.
A frenum or frenulum is a small piece of tissue that attaches either the upper lip to the gum tissue or the tongue to the floor of the mouth. In some children, this tissue is attached too tightly or too close to the teeth or tip of tongue, creating a pull on the gums and surrounding the teeth that can cause a nursing or periodontal problem, or can cause a child to be tongue-tied, preventing full movement of the tongue. The latter can also resulting in a nursing problem, as well as difficult and/or delayed speech.

Dr. Lee is very responsible and have sympathy towards kids and parents. If the condition is complicated, he's very responsive in terms of msgs and phone calls. In general, we like him and his clinic a lot.

We had a great experience taking our 1-year old to her first dentist appointment. The staff was professional, friendly and enthusiastic when interacting with our child - the appointment was quick and efficient. The facility was clean and safety procedures were in place. It will take several more appointments to continue develop a stronger opinion.

My son (6) and daughter (4) both see Dr.Lee and have seen him for a few years. They both love going to the dentist. Cleanings/check-ups are quick and age appropriate. The entire staff are friendly. My daughter had a lip tie procedure done when she was 2. It was quick and healed nicely. Dr. Lee personally called me that night to check on her (and me). Dr.Lee makes an effort to make sure families are well informed. He explains everything and I never feel rushed. I cannot recommend Eastside Kids Dentistry enough! 10 STARS!

I wish when I was kid, I had a dentist like Dr. Lee. He knows how to deal with kids as well as their parents. Never had to wait more than 5 mins for our turn. Visits are usually done within 30 minutes, provided there are no issues with kids teeth. Kids never complain about going to dentists!

Dr. Lee is great. My 4 yo kid's teeth are good so we just did some regular test. We finished the whole visit in around 20 minutes. My kid likes the giveaway toy too.

The dentist is very good with kids. I was too busy to accompany my son the other day for his dental visit so I dropped my son at the office and continued with my meeting outside. My son came out after a while with a smile so I believed he had a good time there.

We really like Dr Lee and the front desk staff. While the hygienists are good with what they do and cordial with my children, they don't engage or introduce themselves to my kids. They need to remember that kids are kids and love to be approached in a bright friendly manner. They liked to be complimented, noticed, etc.
