A wonderful experience with a kind dentist as a teenager served as the catalyst for Dr. Alexandra Cristescu to pursue a career in the field of dentistry. After finishing high school, she became a hygienist and, after five years, received her DDS to change the lives of others in a major way.

Along with the rest of the office team, Dr. Cristescu shares her passion for helping others by making herself available to her patients and sharing her passion for gentle care and long-lasting oral health.

Kristi began assisting us at the office while she was still attending college in 1990. The experience here inspired her, and Kristi completed a college program to become a dental hygienist in 1995. She has worked at Eastside Family Dentistry ever since! As the doctors senior hygienist, Kristi performs expanded restorative responsibilities and has accumulated 15 years of continuing education experience in all aspects of dentistry.

Kristi appreciates the standard of quality work provided by Dr. Cristescu and our staff and is highly committed to great dentistry and the empathy that makes each patient feel truly cared for. I enjoy being able to improve someones appearance and make them feel more confident when they smile, being able to take pain away and make patients feel better and relieved after they visit our office. I started working at Eastside Family Dentistry in 2014 and it has been a blessing to be part of a compassionate , highly talented and fun team. I was a nurse assistant for many years before discovering my passion for dentistry. I love getting to know our patients and helping them achieve optimal oral health and overall wellness.

Dr. Cristescu is an oral health crusader! She strongly believes in preserving ones natural teeth and strives to deliver conservative therapies, all while respecting the values, beliefs, and time of her patients. Making your dental experience as comfortable as possible is one of her highest priorities, as is welcoming your questions and listening to your concerns.

Born and raised in Romania, Dr. Cristescu lived in Canada for a spell before finally making her way to the United States. Prior to earning her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Washington, she was a dental hygienist for five years in Bellevue. Her relationship with the University of Washington continues to this day through her role as an affiliate instructor in their department of restorative dentistry.

As a Rotarian, Dr. Cristescu uses the ethical guide of the four-way test in both her personal and professional relationships: 1. Is it the Truth? 2. Is it Fair to all concerned? 3. Will it build goodwill and better friendships? 4. Will it be beneficial to all concerned?

During her free time, Dr. Cristescu loves going for walks with her three beautiful daughters and her husband. She is a huge Seahawks fan, and loves to show her support for the team. She is all about family, both in and out of the office.
