He graduated from Pleasant Grove High School in 2003, and following high school, served a 2-year church mission in Uruguay. He attended the University of Utah and graduated with his B.S. in Behavioral Science and Health in 2009.
Dr. Smith attended Creighton School of Dentistry, getting into the coveted Utah RDEP program, where only a select few residents from Utah were admitted. He graduated dental school in 2013, receiving the Endodontics award for his research and clinical work in Endodontics. Following dental school, Dr. Smith attended the University of Nebraska Medical Center Endodontics Residency. While there, he served as chief resident during his final year of residency, and earned a national research award at the AAE convention. He finished his residency in 2013, and moved back home to Utah.
Dr. Smith is excited to be back home with family and friends. He has a wonderful wife, and two beautiful daughters. When not doing dentistry, Dr. Smith enjoys traveling, movies, trying new foods, and going to Thanksgiving Point with his family.
Melissa has over 20 years of dental experience, from assisting to being an office manager. She is born and raised in Lehi. She enjoys helping patients from A to Z. In her spare time, Melissa enjoys spending time with family, watching her three kids play sports and traveling whenever she can. She also makes some amazing pies!
Alex was born and raised in Utah. She has always loved going to the dentist and loves helping other feel as comfortable as possible in the chair. She has been a certified Dental Assistant since 2018 and has been working in the dentistry field since then. She loves to meet new people. She loves adventure and will take any opportunity to be outdoors or travel. She loves to spend time with her family in her free time, and is the youngest of five and loves her position of being the favorite aunt! She is currently a full-time student at Utah Valley University and will graduate with a Bachelors in May of 2022.
Kelcee was born and raised in Utah and has lived most of her life right here in Lehi. Kelcee graduated from Lehi high school in 2019 and also graduated from MTECH with her dental assistant certification at the same time. Kelcee likes being outdoors and hanging out with her boyfriend and her family and friends in her free time. She is the second oldest of 4 kids. Kelcee is currently working full time for Dr.Smith and enjoys working for him and loves helping out all the patients that come in!

Had a great experience here. The staff was caring and kind. They walked me through each step of the root canal and helped ease any anxiety I had. The root canal was basically painless. Definitely recommend!

Dr. GAVYN and his assistant Kelcie did an awesome job fixing my root canal that I had done almost 13 years ago that decided to start causing me some issues. He talked me through everything and explained it all very well. His Staff was amazing to work and they got me in quickly, the front desk gals were quick at getting my insurance figured out before I came in. I 100% recommend giving Dr.Gavyn a try if you're needing a root canal.

Just had my first root canal and it was so, so, so much easier than I thought it would be. Dr. Smith and his staff did a great job and the entire procedure was relatively painless. I am such a chicken when going to the dentist. I was very nervous about this and nearly had to be talked into sitting down in the chair, but Dr. Smith explained everything and even getting the initial shoots were not that bad. He has a great technique and everything just really went well. Thank you to this team for helping me through it. I am so glad I selected Eastpoint and Dr. Smith to do this.

Ok so I'm the biggest baby when it comes to all things teeth! Gavyn was amazing, you can tell he cares and has a true passion for what he does. . He thoroughly explains each step along the way. I highly recommend this office with all root canal needs! You won't be disappointed.

We went here because I was impressed with all the reviews. I can see why people enjoy this place. First off the office is very inviting when you walk in. My son had to have a root canal and said it was the best dentist procedure he's ever had done. On top of that I had some questions about billing and the lady at the front desk was so patient with me and made sure everything looked right to me before I paid. Definitely recommend.

Dr Smith was FANTASTIC! My daughter that was getting a root canal was anxious, Dr Smith has such a calming voice and demeanor. He was patient with the numbing process. It couldn't have been a better experience.

I don't like getting dental work done but Dr Gavin Smith and his team were the best. I wasn't in pain or stressed, and he explained what he was doing during the entire process. I'd recommend his practice to anyone.
