Everyone working at Eastowne Family Dentistry are all amazing people. I'm a pre-dental student at UNC Chapel Hill and I'm currently shadowing them. Dr. Kim and Dr. Shin are always super welcoming and open to answering any questions! I'm glad to be able to learn from them with their high work ethic and great patient care.

#1 in the town, and one of top in states! Dr. Kim and his hospitality staffs are you don't often see in other dentistries. Dr.Kim has accurate and tells his diagnosis to the patient to know the defect and knowledge training. Not only the dentist has the expertise on controlling on the tools but support best of all composure, to therapeutic his patients. I am very happy with the services that I have received/recurred in short time, but do have a respect his performance. Many thanks.

I am a predental student from UNC who's shadowing here and I have to say the service and care that Dr. Kim shows toward his patients are top-notch. He explains things clearly to his patients and treats them with the utmost respect. I have learned a lot from observing Dr. Kim, from his meticulous handwork to his admirable dental business ethics. His wife, Dr. Shin, and all the other staffs are also kind and courteous. Overall, I would highly recommend Dr. Kim's office for anything related to general dentistry!

Highly recommend! I hadn't been to the dentist in years, in part due to the pandemic. I recently moved back to the area though, and I knew that I needed to address my teeth. I received outstanding and respectful care from everyone from the front desk, to the hygienist, to the dentists and assistants. No one ever made me feel like I was a bad person for needing to have my teeth fixed. If anything, I felt supported and encouraged for coming in. I have a mouth shape that can make getting x-rays a little more difficult, but the hygienist was really patient and respectful throughout the process. I also had a situation where I needed to get quite a few fillings in a quick turnaround, and the office was accommodating. The dentist who provided my fillings was outstanding. I didn't even notice that I was getting a shot to numb pain until I saw that the needle was already in. He has a very gentle touch and a technique that reduces the pain that can come with shots. The staff were respectful of me and each other, and I felt like I was in good hands. I definitely plan on bringing my wife and son in next. I was very nervous about coming, but I'm glad I did. And the fillings look great! My one very minor complaint is that I was asked to text a lot when I was signing up as a new patient, and I would've preferred to just talk on the phone. But that's minor, and they get extra credit for all of the other stuff.

It's been almost one year I went to see Dr. Kim for my annual check for the first time. I didn't have any complaints at that point, however Dr. Kim told me that I had 8 cavities and I had to start treatment. As a result of complications of this 'treatment' (that was not even necessary), I had to spend a fortune on endodontic treatment and now need to do braces to fix the bite. The most frustrating, I am still in pain and can't use the tooth he 'treated'. At the beginning I thought that it was my bad luck (actually, it was a bad luck to choose this doctor ), but then my son, who got a treatment from Dr. Kim as well, started to complain about the pain in his tooth. I had to bring him to a different doctor to redo the filling and we had to pay again! Overall, I wouldn't recommend this doctor to anybody.

All of my encounters with Eastowne Family Dentistry have been excellent. Initially I came in as a new patient for a general cleaning and x-rays. My dental hygienist, Melissa, was incredibly attentive and personable. She explained and educated me about changes and preventable measures in my at home dental routine based on my concerns. Upon my next visit for a filling, Dr. Kim and Dr. Shin displayed the upmost level of professionalism, kindness, and talent. They made me feel comfortable by explaining what they were doing during the procedures. Dr. Kim performed a procedure to correct a spacing issue in my top front teeth and I left with happy and grateful tears in my eyes. I haven't stopped smiling since. I highly recommend this practice and this amazing team of dental professionals.

It was the third time visiting this office today, but would highly recommend if you are looking for a dentist. I am very satisfied with their service, very friendly and very professional team. Dr. Kim and his assistant are awesome. They are very professional and caring. I also got the knowledge how to take care by myself daily. Dr. Kim explained very details about every step of my procedure. I really appreciate their professional care and service!

Dr Shim and the entire team at Eastowne Family Dentistry are superb. They are the kindest and have gone above and beyond to fix my dental issues in the most professional way. Atmosphere is very friendly. Please leave all your dental worries with them .

I had an absolutely wonderful first experience at this dentist. Everyone was kind, courteous, and professional, and the dentist was informative, thorough, and thoughtful. I can't remember the last time I walked out of a dentist office in such a good mood. I will most definitely be coming back here!

Extremely professional and friendly staff. Check-in was quick and easy, office was really clean and well organized. I came in for a new patient evaluation and expected to come back for my cleaning, but they were able to squeeze in a cleaning too. When I came back for some fillings, they were really quick and professional giving me a painless procedure and an extra filling at no charge. Communication was great and I would definitely recommend!

Dr. Kim at Eastowne Dentistry went out of his way to work me in before office hours due to dental pain that I was suffering as I had flight to catch by 10 am for an out of town business trip. I am very happy with the dental care that he and his staff provides.
