Dr. Mike knew he wanted to be a dentist before he graduated high school. The feeling of a confident smile was something he wanted to give to others. Dr. Mike is proud to have served his country as a Lieutenant in the United States Navy. While in the Navy, Dr. Mike completed an Advanced Education In General Dentistry residency at 2nd Dental Battalion, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, where he refined his comprehensive dental abilities, focusing on prosthodontics, digital dentistry, oral surgery, and endodontics. He continues to expand his dental abilities with numerous hours of continuing education each year.
Dr. Mike was born in Northern New Jersey as the oldest of three boys. He grew up playing sports year-round such as football and baseball. During college, at the University of Pittsburgh, he also started playing water polo. Before attending NYU College of Dentistry in 2011, he married his high school sweetheart, Ashley. Ashley is a tireless, dedicated Mother, with a Masters in Anthrozoology. Together Dr. Mike and Ashley have four energetic children, Brighton, Kinsley, Adalee, and Maisie. Brighton is a Pokmon enthusiast and is going into second grade. Kinsley is entering kindergarten and loves playing princesses and going swimming. Adalee spends her time dressed as Anna or Elsa and playing with the familys pets. Maisie is a smiling 1 year old that loves laughing with her older brother and sisters.
What do you love most about our practice? Having been here for 34 years, Ive developed friendships with a lot of patients, our ability to make patients comfortable. I like the good times we have with coworkers and so much more.
During my 36 years in dental practice I have had the opportunity to meet, care, and pray for you and your families. My staff and I have been thankful for your support and we have enjoyed getting to know all of you. I appreciate the trust you have put in me, and I have taken this responsibility very seriously. I have always striven to provide you with the best possible dental health care.
It is with this in mind that I want to inform you of some upcoming changes in the office. I have decided to seek a colleague to take over my practice in my retirement. It is my hope that you and your families can have all your dental needs met in the same familiar, friendly, and caring manner that you have been accustomed to.
I am pleased to announce that I have found a true answer to prayer. Dr. Mike Hoglund is a wonderful dentist who shares my philosophy of practicing both caring and gentle dentistry. Along with his wife, Ashley, and their four children, Dr. Hoglund has fallen in love with Easton, Maryland and cant wait to raise his family here. Dr. Hoglund grew up in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania and attended New York University College of Dentistry on scholarship with the United States Navy. After working as a dental officer for 5 years aboard Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, he has chosen to settle his family here in Easton. Dr. Hoglund also worked part-time in private practice dental offices in Jacksonville and Sneads Ferry, North Carolina.
Dr. Hoglund applied for and was accepted to the coveted Armed Forces Prosthodontics Residency, but he and his wife Ashley decided they wanted to come to the Eastern Shore of Maryland and begin a life in private practice. Dr. Hoglund is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry and the American Dental Association. Dr. Hoglund keeps up to date on the newest technology and techniques and latest research so that he can offer patients the best and most conservative treatment options. I am confident he will serve you and me well. His goal with starting Easton Dental Studio is to provide all-inclusive family dentistry in the convenience of one practice.
Rest assured that the staff you have come to know and trust will continue to provide you with the quality care you are used to, in the very same location you have visited for years. I will be in the office part-time during this exciting transition and I will still be a patient in the practice.
