Dr. John has been a member ofEastland Dental Centersince 2000. He grew up and did his under-graduate studies in Toronto, Canada. He then moved to Chicago where he graduated from Northwestern University School of Dentistry in 1999. He now enjoys living in the metro Detroit area with his family. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Michigan State Dental Association and Oakland County Dental Association. He is proficient in cosmetic and emergency dentistry focused mainly on root canal treatment and crown, bridge and oral surgery.
Sheila Buen graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene in 1996. She has been working atEastland Dental Centerfor more than 17 years where she has had the privilege of working with an amazing group of people. As a hygienist, she enjoys promoting and educating patients about the importance of good oral health and is a member of the Wolverine Dental Hygiene Society. In her free time, Sheila enjoys going to the movies, reading, walking and travelling. She also likes spending time with her niece, nephew and cat, Maya.

So you move to EASTPOINTE and NOW you charge $100 copays.....REALLY! The Hospitals don't even charge that much for emergency copays....I'm done, don't call or text me please EASTLAND DENTAL!!!

Office is very unprofessional. It was one thing after another. Poor parking, only one dentist there, receptionist very unprofessional. My daughter needed a root canal on a baby tooth. They told me insurance might not cover it and referred her to a specialist. To make a long story short, they sent me out in a wild goose chase. No concern for their patients at all. I couldn't even get them to call and see if my insurance covered it. By the time I did and had the work done by a specialist, I went to do the follow up appt for restoration of the tooth only for them to tell me my insurance didn't cover that part. I would never go bck or recommend anyone to go there

So just so you know Eastland dental has moved out of the Eastland mall . They are now on kelly to just north of 8mile. Across the street from the neighborhood gas station . I've been going to Eastland dental for years. It is ran by the best dentist in Michigan (probably the country) Dr. John. This man cares about patients and takes their comfort and consideration in mind at every level. I have a pace maker Diffibulator Bc of a heart condition. Some of the best dentist in michigan has refused to treat me for fear of something going wrong with my heart while in the CHAIR. Dr. Jon (my dentist) accepted me with open arms . He not only reviews my health status before every visit, he makes sure each and every dental tech is aware of what I can and can't take . He also, takes the time to review meds against what I can and can't take . Most dentist don't bother (to much of a hassle) . This guy does it with ease and grace because he cares and wants his patients to have the very best service despite the Lee existing conditions. Also, Example. I've had 6 root canals and 2 teeth pulled at Eastland Dental center . EVERY single time this man goes above and beyond before he touches my mouth making sure I'm pain free. Also, some dentist can not be reached after hours (when you are in pain). Dr.John always gets back with you with in 15 minutes of you calling the emergency number Lastly, I just want to commend Eastland Dental center for the professional and complete services they provide . Their patient care is top notch and their knowledge and expertise goes unmatched in this area. Many people look down on dentist clinics inside of Malls. This one is the EXCEPTION! I have the best dental insurance money can buy and I choose Eastland Dental center for all of my dental and cleaning needs . And no I am not a paid commercial nor do i work there . Just a happy satisfied patient who knows how to put the word out when I find a good doctor and clinic for my dental needs .
