Tom Massarat DDS, MS is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics. Dr. Massarat received his Certificate in Endodontics from Northwestern University in 1992. He also received his Dental Degree and Advanced General Dentistry Degree from Northwestern University in Chicago, Ill. Dr. Massarat is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), American Association of Endodontists (AAE), San Diego County Dental Society (SDCDS) and American Board of Endodontists (ABE). He is also an advisor for the Experdent and Summit Study Groups. He has lectured extensively on many aspect of endodontics.

Highly recommend Dr Massarat for root canal. Very professional and gentle. He was the first dentist to correctly do the anesthesia. He has a kind of microscope looking machine to see well while doing the root canal. And use a plastic to keep the mouth opened allowing the patient to swallow their salivas instead of relying on the dental assistant instruments, which makes the experience even better.

Who would have thought a root canal would be, could be a positive experience! From start to finish my experience in this office was professional, friendly, even a little humor, but mostly a fantastic and welcoming staff doing great work. Unusually efficient, which is important to me as a professional myself, I felt that my time respected as that of the doctor's. When I arrived, I was in the chair with in a few minutes and shortly thereafter the procedure began. The Dr. constantly asking me if I was comfortable while doing his work. Honestly, I was in and out of there faster than I believed was possible, feeling both comfortable and confident in the work! It's not my first root canal, but it was the most professional and positive I've ever experienced. I'm not a person who posts many reviews but I have to say, if you need this kind of work done, if you're looking for a great endodontist, this is a practice I believe you can trust and will appreciate you will appreciate!!

After years of avoiding any dental offices I was told to come here for a root canal. I was very anxious but Dr. Massarat took his time, explained the procedure and made me feel comfortable. I appreciated that he continued to check on me during the procedure. It was painless and went by fast. Thank you!

This guy overcharged me, he is not following the rules and he said my procedure was going to be ok. After a second check-up, he sent me to another dentist, saying that he couldn't fix what he did. Don't go to Tom Massarat office, after you try to converse, they just hung up the phone on you.

Dr. Massarat's endodontic practice came recommended to me by a leading dentist in the area. The firm has extremely professional management and staff. Dr. Shen and her assistant were 100% focused and detail oriented which put me at ease. They use the proper amount of analgesic medication. They check in with you to make sure you are OK after the procedure and provide all necessary prescriptions. They are upfront about all costs and have very reasonable prices. I highly recommend their services.
