Dr. Mehta was born in Gujarat, India. As a young boy, his dream was to someday become a dentist. He received his Bachelors Degree in Dentistry in 1982 and his Masters Degree in Oral and Maxillo Facial Plastic Surgery in 1984 from Gujarat University in India. After completion of his postgraduate study, Dr. Mehta served as Associate Professor in Oral and Maxillo Facial Surgery at B.E.A Dental College and Hospital in India. During his tenure there, he published scientific articles in American and International Journals. After arriving in Florida in 1988, Dr. Mehta received his dental licensure degree through the University of Florida Gainesville. His postgraduate studies in dental implants were completed at the Medical College of Georgia under the sponsorship of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry.
Dr. Mehta is a Diplomat of the American Board of Oral Implantology, Life Fellow of the International Association of Oral and Maxillo Facial Surgeons, Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and Diplomat of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
He recently celebrated his 25th year wedding anniversary. Dr. Mehta and his wife Mona, have two sons and a daughter, who are currently attending college. Being a strong believer in Karma, his family, staff and patients would say he is calming and straightforward. When you become a patient of our practice, you become a member of our dental family. My name is Faith and I am the Office Manager for the practice. I have been in dentistry for over 30 years, first as a dental hygienist and now in the front office. My husband recently retired and is an avid golfer. I try to play golf when I can, though Im not as good! We live in Odessa with our golden retriever, Allie, who rules the house! I hate the Dentist! I get completely overwhelmed at thought of visiting the dentist. It is practically a curse word to me. I love the whole team here! They are patient, kind, understanding, and reassuring! They answered all of my 100 questions with friendly positive attitude! Did I mention I travel over 45 minutes to come visit them! This is my dentist for life!!!!!

My first consultation visit was very educational for me. Dr. Mehta is highly knowledgeable and was able to explain to me a significant dental procedure that is being planned for the future. I like the ambiance of the office setup and use of modern tools and technology. The staff was very friendly, polite, and courteous.

I have been going to Dr. Methta's office for the past few years to get extensive reconstructive dental work done. Nicole and Christine are always warm and inviting during my visits. Dr. Mehta is a knowledgeable, talented and empathetic doctor that will build a treatment schedule to help address your budget and personal goals/medical needs. I have dental anxiety and when I first started treatment I was anxious, terrified and embarrassed. He was able to make the experience as comfortable as possible with the help of his wonderful staff. I would definitely recommend him as a dentist.

Well, if it wasn't for Nicole who took my call and was so sweet, helpful, professional and caring, I may never have met the best oral surgeon in Pinellas County -- Dr. Mehta! They are a class act and include a super hero assistant, Christine! If you have needs for an oral surgeon, look no further than to Dr. Mehta. He is probably the most caring doctor I have ever met! The whole staff treats you like they've known you forever and take genuine concern about your well being.
