Eastern Virginia Orthodontics provides three of the best orthodontists in the state of Virginia: Dr. Shivar, Dr. Peluso, and Dr. Savage. Collectively, our doctors have more than X years of experience and are looking forward to providing exceptional service for many years to come. Dr. Walker Shivar has been creating beautiful smiles since 1981! Dr. Shivarattended Penn State University for hisundergraduate studies and earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the Medical College of Virginia. He went on to complete specialty training, receiving his Orthodontic Specialty Certificate from Eastman Dental Clinic.

He and his wife, Donna, live in Norfolk and have adjusted to the 'empty nest syndrome'. Their daughters, Kaitlyn and MacKenzie, live in Arlington and Richmond respectively. All enjoy more than ever the holidays and vacations that enable the family to spend time together.

After receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at St. Johns University, Dr. Anthony Peluso earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from the Medical College of Virginia. His postgraduate training was completed at MCV/VCU in Richmond, where he received his Orthodontic Specialty Certificate. Dr. Peluso has been in practice since 1999.

In giving back to the community, Dr. Peluso volunteers with the Red Cross, Boy Scouts of America and Give Kids a Smile. He lives in Virginia Beach with his wife, Rose, and their four children: Anthony, Hannah, Madison and Kate. Away from the office, Dr. Peluso enjoys fitness, reading, motorcycles and carving duck decoys.

Dr. Savage received a B.S. in Biology from the University of Virginia in 2012. He earned his D.M.D from the University of Louisville in 2016. Dr. Savage obtained his certificate in Orthodontics from the Georgia School of Orthodontics in 2020 and is board eligible. Dr. Savage grew up in Virginia Beach and is very excited to return to the area and become a new provider of orthodontic care in our practice.

Dr Peluso is the absolute best. He did exactly he thought was best to improve my smile. He was not pushy and left the decision completely up to me. His entire staff was so sweet from the consult to the day I actually got the braces on. They have multiple offices for convince. And following all guidelines for COVID. I highly recommend. Thank you Dr Peluso!!!!

Dr Shivar and the team were wonderful! They worked with us to develop a good treatment plan and the results were great. Scheduling appointments were easy, the staff worked with us to get times we could make. We would definitely recommend this practice! Thank you everyone for making Andrew's smile what it is!

Update--Braces are off! Smile is amazing. Love the retainers. Straight teeth for life!!!!!!!! Super excited. Whoop whoop I got a new wire, bottom braces are on, much progress. very exciting...Loving the progress on my teeth Teeth are looking good. On my way to the perfect smile..thanks Doc Peluso...Best place ever!!!

All 3 of my children and both of my nieces have gotten their orthodontic care at Eastern Virginia Orthodontics. We've had great experiences over the years and are grateful for the way they have been treated! Ann especially has been very helpful (and patient) with scheduling.

DR. SHIVAR and this whole practice is great. He has never tried to rip me off and sell me stuff for my kid she doesn't need. I completely trust his judgement. The dental assistants are the best, they really take time to get to know your kid, and make them feel at ease. THE BEST PART IS...when you make an appointment, they see you on time, You don't have to wait for 30 mins for the doctor to show up. Your in on time and out on time. My daughter (15 years old) had gotten hit in the mouth on a Friday night, by Saturday she was in serious pain. I called the office and Dr. Shivar called me back in minutes, and fixed her right up, he was on vacation and still picked up the phone and took care of her on a Saturday night (and No EXTRA silly emergency/weekend fee). This is the best orthodontist office ever. I wish all doctors offices were like this!!!! (PS. I don't ever write reviews, so me taking time to write this means something).

Great place to take your kids. Get to go back with your kids. Never a long wait. Doctor always answers all my questions. Clean office. Polite staff. Coffee while you wait.

We love Dr. Peluso. He treats our Austic son like any other child. The treatment was described well, and cost was not outrageous. The appointments are well planned so he is not out of school too long, and even the long appointments have never been more than 45 minutes.

I received my braces for this group of orthodonists and had a pleasant experience and my teeth look great. My son is now receiving treatment for braces and the experience has been wonderful. The staff is polite and accommodating. The doctors are friendly and will answer all of your questions and ensure you understand your treatment plan.
