Dr. Jeff Weisberg has been practicing dentistry in our area for over 40 years. He is skilled with both general and cosmetic dentistry procedures and performs a comprehensive variety of treatments at our practice.

Here at our office, dental care is a family tradition! Dr. Clay Weisberg is an experienced cosmetic dentist and a member of many respected dental organizations. In addition to preventive and aesthetic dentistry, Dr. Weisberg performs a number of restorative procedures that can enhance both form and function of the teeth and gums.

Alya Elsayed-Ali, DDS is an experienced general and restorative dentist who performs many of our reconstructive dental treatments, along with an array of other advanced procedures. Dr. Elsayed-Ali is skilled with numerous treatments designed to significantly improve the health, form, and function of the teeth.

A native of Yorktown, Dr. Matthew Cawley is experienced with a vast range of advanced procedures available at our practice, including implant dentistry, root canal therapy, tooth extractions, and cosmetic dental care. Dr. Matt trained at the prestigious Johns Hopkins Hospital and is proficient with numerous treatments designed to restore dental health and enhance smile aesthetics.

Our outstanding dental team has over 250 combined years of experience! Some team members have been with Dr. Jeff Weisberg for more than 30 years. Each individual who works within our practice brings an exquisite array of talents and unique strengths to create a truly exceptional team. Suzanne has been at our practice for more than eight years and has been working in the dental field for over 36 years! Suzanne grew up in beautiful Laguna Hills, CA and has worked in dental offices across the country, from Southern California to the great northwest, midwest, Maryland, and Virginia. She is very knowledgeable about dental insurance policies and will be here to answer any questions you may have. Suzanne loves being a part of our team and loves the wonderful people she works with. When not here at the office, Suzanne enjoys spending time with her family, which includes her husband of 34 years, two children, one granddaughter, and of course her beloved dogs two Yellow Labradors and a German Shepherd!

A Portsmouth, VA native, Tana has been working in the field of dentistry for more than 34 years. As one of our Scheduling Coordinators here at Eastern Virginia Family & Cosmetic Dentistry, Tana is dedicated to providing you with friendly, compassionate service along with the best possible dental care experience. She will be more than happy to assist you with any questions you may have. Tana loves the family atmosphere at our practice and the way in which the entire team shares the same values, goals, and purpose. When she is not working here at our office, Tana greatly enjoys spending time with family and friends.

Kathy is one of the most recognizable faces at our practice, having spent 36 of her 43 years in the dental field working right here at Eastern Virginia Family & Cosmetic Dentistry. Raised in Portsmouth, VA, Kathy is an experienced Scheduling Coordinator and holds an x-ray certification, as well. Kathy believes that treating all individuals who walk through our doors with honesty, friendliness, and compassion is extremely important. In her long tenure with Eastern Virginia Family & Cosmetic Dentistry, Kathy has been able to see patients who first arrived at our practice as children grow up and bring their own families to us for dental care. She is deeply appreciative of the long-standing trust that is placed on our team to deliver the best possible treatment experience. Away from the office, Kathy enjoys spending time with her family (which includes her two grandchildren), shopping, and going to the beach.

Lisa is another one our longest-serving team members, having been with us for more than 20 years. She is known as a kind of Jack-of-All-Trades in our office and does a little bit of everything! Lisa greatly enjoys the family atmosphere and home-away-from-home feeling at our practice. When not at work, Lisa is an avid gardener.

Courtney has been working in the field of dental care for 12 years. A native of the Churchland area of Portsmouth, Virginia, Courtney was educated at Everest College and has been extensively trained in a variety of advanced techniques. Courtneys overall philosophy of care is to treat each patient the way she would like to be treated when visiting the dentist. Attentive listening, a patient and gentle attitude, and making sure that each individual feels like they are our number 1 priority during their time in the office are all part of Courtneys approach. In her spare time, Courtney loves being near the water. Boating, fishing, and jet skiing are just some of the many activities she enjoys.

Tangelia is an experienced, Certified Dental Assistant who has been working in the field of dentistry for more than 20 years. She grew up in Norfolk and attended Booker T. Washington High School. Tangelia is committed to helping patients improve their dental health and to providing skilled, friendly support for their oral health needs. One of the things she loves the most about working here at Eastern Virginia Family & Cosmetic Dentistry is the collaboration and helpful assistance offered by all members of our staff. When shes not at work, Tangelia enjoys spending time with her family.

Courtney has been with Eastern Virginia Family & Cosmetic Dentistry for more than 26 years! Starting as a Dental Hygienist Assistant, Courtney went on to become a skilled Dental Hygienist and has fulfilled that role for the last 21 years at our practice. She grew up in Western Branch, Chesapeake and attended Old Dominion University. In addition to her many skills as a Dental Hygienist, Courtney has been trained in the administration of anesthesia for dental care. She is committed to treating each patient with respect, honesty, and integrity, and strives to educate patients on how to take the best possible care of their oral health. To Courtney and all members of our team, each patient is a personnot a number. She is dedicated to providing focused, compassionate, exceptional care for all individuals. Outside of the office, Courtney enjoys the beach, reading, shopping, and being with her family.

A 28-year veteran of Eastern Virginia Family & Cosmetic Dentistry, Morgan is an experienced Dental Hygienist who has served the dental health needs of a countless number of patients here at our practice. She grew up right here in Chesapeake, VA and graduated from Old Dominion University. Morgan is a truly empathetic Dental Hygienist and is committed to easing dental anxiety and helping you feel more comfortable during treatment. She loves the team atmosphere at our office and thinks of everyone here as her second family. In her spare time, Morgan loves beekeeping, gardening, taking care of her cats, dogs, chickens, and Koi pond, heading to the beach, and spending time with her grandson.

Ellen has been a Dental Hygienist for more than 10 years and has spent that entire time here with us at Eastern Virginia Family & Cosmetic Dentistry! A graduate of Old Dominion University, Ellen has been extensively trained in performing dental hygiene procedures and has her certificate to administer dental anesthesia, as well. Ellens philosophy of care essentially comes down to Be the best and give your best. She believes that listening, evaluating, and collaborating are three of the most important tenets of patient care, helping her to deliver optimal outcomes and provide individuals with healthier, brighter, more confident smiles. Away from the office, Ellen has an array of interests and hobbies, including camping, hiking, running, crafting, sewing, and decorating.

Erin is a skilled Dental Hygienist who strives to help patients appreciate their smile while promoting overall health and wellness. Shortly after graduating from Old Dominion University and earning her license to practice as a Dental Hygienist, Erin joined the team here at Eastern Virginia Family & Cosmetic Dentistry. She genuinely enjoys getting to know her patients and working with them to figure out whats best for their at-home oral health care routines. Outside of the office, Erin loves going to the beach, shopping, and spending time with family and friends.

Dr. Clay Weisberg grew up in Hampton Roads and attended Norfolk Academy. After high school, he moved to Providence, RI where he attended school and wrestled at Brown University. During his third year, Dr. Clay had the opportunity to study abroad at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia.

Dr. Clay received his dental education at the Medical College of Virginia. At graduation, he was recognized for his achievement by both the International College of Dentists and the Academy of General Dentistry.

Dr. Clay decided to continue his education by pursuing a post-doctoral degree at the University of Florida. Since completing his advanced education in General Dentistry, Dr. Clay Weisberg has returned to his hometown, where he practices with his father,Dr. Jeff Weisberg.

These organizations in combination with extensive continuing education help allow him to offer the latest advancements in dental techniques and technology to his patients. In 2009, he received his Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry. Prior to starting his family, Dr. Clay served as Adjunct Faculty at the V.C.U. School of Dentistry where he helped educate young dentists.

Dr. Clay and his daughters, Joelle and Genesse, live in Suffolk Virginia. When not working, the three of them enjoy mountain biking, arts and crafts projects, spending time at the beach, and playing with their puppy, Boots.

Dr. Jeff Weisberg was born and raised in Hampton Roads. He graduated from Norfolk Academy, University of Virginia and Tufts School of Dental Medicine, Boston, MA. Dr. Jeff has been serving the Tidewater area for more than 40 years. His practice in Churchland draws patients from Chesapeake, Portsmouth, Suffolk and nearby Norfolk and Virginia Beach areas. Loyal patients travel from as far away as Washington, D.C. and North Carolina.

As a member of our dental team at Eastern Virginia Family & Cosmetic Dentistry, Dr. Elsayed-Ali brings experience and expertise in anterior reconstructive dental work, conventional dental crowns, and removable dental work. Dr. Elsayed-Ali performs numerous advanced procedures at our practice, and is particularly adept with restorative dentistry treatments that can enhance dental function, improve smile aesthetics, and renew the structure and health of the teeth. Dr. Elsayed-Ali is also extensively trained and experienced with Invisalign, an orthodontic treatment that can discreetly correct teeth misalignment and bite irregularities with the use of clear, removable aligners rather than metal brackets and wires.

Alya Elsayed-Ali, DDS was born in New York and grew up in Virginia Beach. She attended the International Baccalaureate program at Princess Anne High School, and completed her undergraduate studies majoring in chemistry at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. While she was an undergraduate, she discovered dentistry on a volunteer trip to Honduras where she assisted dentists providing services to families with little access to dental care. She shadowed at the University of Virginia Department of Dentistry and became certain of her passion for the dental field. She completed dental school at Virginia Commonwealth University.
