Dr. Lewis, a specialist in pediatric dentistry, is a native of Eastern North Carolina. He received a B.S. in Biology from Wake Forest University, Winston Salem. His dental degree was earned from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, followed by two years as a dental officer in the US Air Force. He received his postdoctoral degree from the University of North Carolina in 1973, moved to Greenville, and opened his practice that year.
Board certified since 1981, Dr. Lewis has held offices in numerous regional and national dental organizations including a term as President of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. He has lectured across the nation and internationally on pediatric dentistry and practice management.
Dr. Gondrez, a specialist in pediatric dentistry, is originally from Kingston, Jamaica. He received his undergraduate degree in chemistry from the University of the West Indies, Jamaica. He earned a dental degree from the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida, then completed a general practice residency at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Gainesville, Florida. After practicing general dentistry in Sumterville, Floridafor two years, Dr. Gondrez completed a pediatric dental residency at the University of Tennessee, Memphis, in 1997. Before moving to Greenville in 1998 to join our office, he was Chief of Pediatric Dentistry at Arkansas Children's Hospital, Little Rock, Arkansas.

Dr. W. Lee Lewis, a specialist in both orthodontics and pediatric dentistry, is a native of Greenville, North Carolina. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Wake Forest University and his dental degree from the University of Tennessee, Memphis in 1995. Dr. Lewis earned a Postdoctoral Degree in Pediatric Dentistry from the University of Tennessee, Memphis, then completed a Postdoctoral Residency Program in Orthodontics at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia in 1999.
Dr. Lewis is active in several orthodontic and pediatric dental organizations. He is the past President of the East Central Dental Society, North Carolinas Fifth District Dental Society, and the North Carolina Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. He is currently on the Board of Trustees of North Carolinas Fifth District Dental Society and has served on the board of trustees for the North Carolina Dental Society. He is also on the Medical Executive Committee at Vidant Medical Center.
In his free time, he enjoys fishing, hunting, skiing, and spending time with his family. His wife, Kathy, is from Arkansas and they were married in 1995. They have one son, Evan, and twin daughters, Jordan and Makenzie.
Dr. Derek M. Steele, a specialist in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics, is a native to Greenville, North Carolina. He graduated from J.H. Rose High School and went on to receive a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition at Brigham Young University. Dr. Steele received his dental degree from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and continued his studies to earn a Master of Science Degree in Orthodontics from Nova Southeastern University.
Derek and his wife Ceri have three amazing and energetic children, Madelynn, Cole, and Beckett. He and his family enjoy spending time outdoors, games, playing golf, and cheering on the Pirates. Derek says, Returning to eastern North Carolina has been and continues to be a blessing for our family. We love this community.

This facility is AMAZING. From start to finish. Their scheduling staff is great, their reminders, being able to update info on the portal before appointments, the ease of check in and out. They are on TOP of it. They are so incredibly efficient and run like a well oiled machine. The staff is amazing. My kiddo's first appt did not go well, he was terrified, and they did AMAZING. Our second visit today, we saw Dr. Causey and she was absolutely incredible. She took the time to talk to him, let him see and touch/hold some of the instruments and took the time to get him comfortable before even looking at his teeth. A complete night and day difference from first and second visits and I think the impression they left on the first visit is what helped make him comfortable the second visit. I can't sing their praises loud enough!

My son had his first dentist appointment today. Wonderful location with a great staff. They were so wonderful and patient with him. Definitely would recommend them for your pediatric dental needs.

I can't say enough good things about them!! It's a big location with a huge staff. The staff is very nice and my kids love them! Quick, friendly, gentle and very thorough with the kids. The location is modern, clean and easy to get to. I just referred two of my neighbors to them. Love them!!

Recently moved to the area from Germany in the middle of my Invisalign treatment. I called multiple other orthodontist, but no one would see me to take on my treatment. I called Eastern orthodontics and pediatric dentistry and not only was I seen right away, but the doctors and staff are absolutely amazing. The inside of their office is fun and colorful an amazing place to take your children if they're not very fond of going to the dentist; they also treat adults so you and your children can be seen together. On top of the amazing treatment I received upon visiting their office they were also very understanding of my budget when it came to me finishing my treatment. I would absolutely recommend Eastern orthodontics and pediatric dentistry to anyone interested in receiving orthodontic care for themselves or their children.

EOPD has been taking care of my special needs daughter's dental needs for 13 years. We have seen several of the dentists and many of the staff members over the years. We have had nothing but kind, compassionate and thorough care over the years. Taking a child like my daughter with multiple physical and mental handicaps to the dentist is quite a daunting and difficult experience but all of the staff here are so professional and patient. Many thanks from a mother who truly appreciates all of your diligence, expertise and kindness!

Hi, I came here for an orthodontic consultation for my 12 yr old boy who needs a second opinion. I was greeted and shown where to sign In. A 2 minute wait then we were called back backs friendly girl! I met Mr. Lee Lewis and he seems nice asked me my concerns and then did his exam and also explained to me his first thoughts and I will return for a presentation in 2 weeks! We are excited . I gave 4 stars because I was blown away at the level of service they gave me right away! I am sure when I return for the second consultation they will have earned their last start . I was given a tour to look around at the office which is keep very clean and it looks amazing . Thanks for the excellent care. My son actually left with a smile

Just outstanding! Our oldest girl was in need of early orthodontic intervention and Dr Lee Lewis came to the rescue!! He developed a plan and it worked perfectly, in short he was able to do for her what others had said couldnt be done !! Always helpful, always informative he provided the best care and you will be VERY pleased. We are so thankful and highly recommend Dr Lee Lewis and the team at Eastern Orthodontics and Pediatric Dentistry

Dr. Arriagada was WONDERFUL! This was my 2.5 year olds second visit, the first was awful because he was so scared, he screamed the entire time. This visit started off the same, but Dr. Arriagada quickly was able to settle him down and talked about how he was going to call Santa to tell him how great he did! He even came back in when the hygienist was polishing his teeth to show him a picture of Santa saying great job! I cannot speak highly enough of the staff and Dr. Arriagada! Thank you!!!

How do you have a good time at a dental procedure appointment. VERY friendly from the front desk to the "Good bye". They dispel virtually all questions. A miracle group of people.
