Dr. Sarah Jody Welch grew up on a farm in Rural Ohio and is so excited to live here. Before she was old enough to drive, she was driving tractors, backhoes, and bobtail trucks on the farm. She received her dental degree in 1987 from the Ohio State University College of Dentistry, and continued her dental education by completing a GPR at Cleveland Metropolitan General/Highland View Hospital in 1988. Dr. Welch practiced general dentistry for the next 16 years. During this time, she actively pursued and received her Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Welch has served LSU School of Dentistry achieving the rank of full-time assistant professor and clinical course director for the Department of Restorative and Biomaterials. Due to her passion and lifetime of learning, Dr. Welch trains Endodontic residents as a Part-Time Associate Professor in the Department of Endodontics at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston School of Dentistry. After years in the big city, she has decided to move back to the countryside and her roots she loves so much.
Dr. Welch has extensive general dentistry experience most Endodontists could only dream of. Her deep understanding and knowledge of aesthetic and restorative dentistry provides a unique background and passion for maintaining the natural dentition including root canals, utilizing the most dentin conservation. This passion for excellence led Dr. Welch to further her education and become a Board Certified Endodontic Specialist. Dr. Welch received her Certificate in Endodontics and Master of Science from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston School of Dentistry. Dr. Welch successfully completed a three-part examination that included a review of her education, knowledge and skills, and the ability to apply new research and advances to the practice of endodontics, as well as, her commitment to providing the Highest Quality of Patient Care. This has earned her the designation of Diplomate, American Board of Endodontics. She has a special interest in Regenerative Endodontics, Dentin Conservation, and models that can be used to test new materials and methods to expand the scope and success of endodontic therapy. She maintains membership with the American Association of Endodontics, American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association. She has served the Greater Houston Dental Society, and the Houston Academy of Endodontics as Program Chair.
Dr. Welch has been married to her husband, Arun, a computer network architect, for twenty six years and they have one daughter, Maya. In her spare time, Dr. Welch enjoys Sudoko, walking, and is an avid reader. Dr. Welch treats referring doctors and your patients like family. Dr. Welch is here to serve you and your patient with outstanding service & clinical excellence within a short distance here at home.

The best!! Would not go anywhere else. Excellent Doc and staff. The procedure was explained each step of the way, my root canal was done exceptionally. Doc was light handed and she made sure I was comfortable and deadened well. Thank you so much for a great experience.

Dr. Welch is amazing! Having only had negative experiences in the past I avoided going to the dentist for years. Since I am a lover of sweets- esp chocolates- the inevitable happened and my husband dragged me to the dentist. As soon as i met Sarah (Dr. Welch) her warm and welcoming personality alone was a different experience, she cared about my anxieties (sensitive hearing, get cold, difficult to numb), she explained everything and answered any questions. The office was very nice & clean, the music and temperature was perfect. When the appt came I was still very anxious, she gave me a fuzzy blanket, a pair of glasses for the light, let my husband sit in, hardly noticed the drill at all, felt no pain throughout the procedure, asked if i was okay once in a while, went above & beyond to make me comfortable. I was so okay I was falling asleep, whenever i paid attention I could see what was happening in the reflection it was AWESOME.

The dentist was amazing, The office manager Vicki is very rude, insults people and acts like she is better then every one else. I called to let her know I felt like she insulted me and instead of apologizing she denied it and defended herself when she was the one who directly insulted me! When I asked to speak to someone above her she said there was no one, I asked to speak to the owners and she said they lived in Chicago. At this point I was so upset i asked to speak to the dentist, The dentist was great she helped me and reached out to a control manager via email and told me he will be getting back with me. Vicki deliberately hid information I directly asked for. I will not go back due to her, it's people like her that make this world an awful place to live !

This office and Dr Welch were awesome. I have to admit I have experience prejudice behavior being a single mother who actually has a career and takes care of her kids. I appreciate the warmth I received and no judgement otherwise.

I had 2 failed root canals by another dentist and was sent to Dr Welch for treatment. They got an appointment for me within a few days and got the problem fixed. I have never ever been so comfortable in a dental chair. I recently had spinal surgery and the staff went above and beyond to make sure that I was comfortable during my surgery and I was never in pain. The staff was so kind, prompt, respectful, and just overall wonderful. If you have to get a root canal done go to Dr Welch!!!!!! I promise you won't be disappointed.
