Time was when walking into Eastern dental, you didn't know whether your experience would be pleasant or unpleasant, depending upon whom you had to speak with. Now, everyone is Pleasant, from the time you walk in until the time you walk out. I am very sorry that this office is closing.

They are closing down in September, 2022. Out of business in our area. I was waiting for it to happen. The place has been neglected for some time and they are short on help. Sad for the nice staff who are loosing their jobs.

I am unable to give them a zero because that it what this office really deserves. I am writing this review to shed light on how RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL Shirleena the office supervisor is at Eastern Dental in Northfield, NJ. This incident occurred on April 5, 2022 at approximately 1:55 p.m. I received a call from Theresa wanting to know if I was able to come in a little early for my appointment the following evening. I was asked to give a call either way to confirm my appointment. I called and was then told that my child's appointment was canceled due to a hygienist not being available the next day at that time. Then, I asked if my child's appointment could be changed and be put on the same day as my appointment, which was in two weeks. I was then told that my appointment would be canceled too due to no hygienist being available on the day of my appointment. I proceeded to ask to speak to a supervisor because I wanted to know why I was not aware of either cancellation. The supervisor got on the phone and never addressed herself as one. I had to ask. I explained to her the situation and she proceeded to tell me that she did not know what I wanted her to do because they hired the hygienist strictly for a 8 a.m.-4 p.m. schedule and she was promised the day off on the day I had my appointment when she was hired. Just to reiterate and I quote," What do you want me to do? " None of that had anything to do with what I was asking her. I simply wanted to know why I was not informed of the cancellations. Once I asked her again, the supervisor proceeded to over talk me, and she neglected to answer my question. Her tone was very RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL. When I requested her manager, she told me that her manager was Corporate. Consequently, I asked her for the number to corporate so that I could inform them of how rude and unprofessional she was. She proceeded to tell me that I was rude and if I wanted the number to Google it and hung up on me. I called back and she answered the phone once again. I asked her if she was indeed the person I just spoke with and she confirmed that. I wanted her name because I was not sure if I heard it correctly when I asked her what it was initially. She responded, " I gave you my name once and I am not going to give it to you again." I was hung up on again by her for the second time. I called back a third time and Shirleena hung up the phone on me once again. Needless to say, I will not EVER go to this dentist office again. I have been going to this dentist for around 20 years and have always been treated with respect. Shirleena is the epitome of what horrible customer service/patient care is!!!! She does not indeed uphold the vision or mission of this company. If Eastern dental employs people like her, I can foresee them losing many patients very soon.

I have visited them twice and was pleased by the experience. The pricing was exactly what dental discount plan listed. I really like Dr. Bronner he seems to know his bussiness.

The staff was awesome the atmosphere was so inviting from the time I walked in until the time i left. we never know what issues people are dealing with so when we walk into a happy place it makes the day better, and miss bubbly in the front started it off didn't quite get her name lol but the whole visit was a blessing!!

I was so glad to finally get in for an appointment. Covid really put a damper on things. Everyone was nice and helpful. Very pleased.

Called about a payment and spoke to the most unprofessional person I have ever spoken too in my life who by the way hung up on me, when asked to speak to a supervisor no one was available and HR was of no help either. Would not recommend to no one.

I have been going to Eastern Dental for about twenty years or so and while the staff changes from time to time, the service seems to remain the same. All of the doctors are very knowledgeable, professional and kind. The latest dentist that worked with me is all that plus much more. He takes his time to explain my options, listens to and answers all of my questions and does so in a calm, reassuring manner. He is Dr. Stewart and he is the best! The front desk has many people that are ready and willing to help also. I had an appointment a little while ago and on my way there the traffic seemed to be very backed up so I decided to take an alternate route and, of course, I became lost. I had absolutely NO idea where I was so I called Eastern Dental and Shirleena answered. She asked me for a landmark and after I told her she knew exactly where I was. She told me there was road work being done, directed me to a detour which I followed and she stayed with me on the phone until I became aware of my surroundings. What a Godsend Shirleena was for me that day! Turns out she was just as nice in person as she was on the phone. Thank you so much for all of your help that day Shirleena, you were a blessing. I just hope I spelled your name correctly. If not? You can misspell mine anytime you want!

Always canceling. Blames staffing issues. 4th time being canceled. They are disorganized. Wish I can give them 0 stars

I've been going to eastern dental for a little over a year. Never had any problems. Staff are really nice. I never wait to long getting in back. My dentist, Dr. Stewart seems very caring. They also work with me when I need to reschedule.

Not to sound cliche, but I never leave reviews. However, given how dissatisfied and angry I am with this office, I feel I should warn others. Avoid this office at all costs. If your insurance will only cover this office, try somers point dental. I went to this office for a cavity that was bothering me, was told I needed a root canal. Eastern dental started the process, gave me a temporary filling, and referred me to an Endo to get a permanent filling before the crown went on. I did that and was told I had to return to get the crown on in 2-4 weeks. It took me 2 weeks to finally get a hold of someone to schedule my appointment, and that's only because my husband had to stop in their office on his way to work because we couldn't get through to anyone. Then they proceed to tell my husband "the dentist is on vacation, we can't see her until June". This was April. I kept the appointment, then they call me last week, a week before the appointment, and cancel that. I immediately called somers point dental, they got me in the next day and I'm already scheduled for my crown. Eastern dental also informed me I had 9 cavities, but somers point dental just confirmed I have four very small ones. Apparently the dentist at eastern dental can't even read an X-ray. Eastern dental started a procedure (a root canal) on me and refused to finish it. If I could give zero stars I would. Worst dental office in Atlantic county, AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS. I'll also add that my husband also had similar issues with them last year. He needed a tooth pulled, it got infected and the dr that pulled his tooth refused to give him antibiotics. "Call your primary doctor". His primary doctor was confused and asked why the heck the doctor that did his procedure wouldn't just prescribe a simple antibiotic. My husband had to go somewhere else and pay out of pocket to get his infection treated. Once again, eastern dental started a procedure and refused to finish it. They literally do not care about their patients. They're unprofessional and uncaring.
