Dr. Daniel Whitley is originally from Goldsboro, and his family has owned and operated small family farms in Eastern North Carolina for more than 100 years. He is glad to be in Eastern North Carolina and serving the residents of Onslow County.
Dr. Whitley is a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the North Carolina Dental Society, and the Onslow County Dental Society. He is a fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and has a specific interest in digital technologies in dentistry and their applications to improve patient dental care.
Apart from his own continuing education, Dr. Whitley donates his time and materials towards dental education at UNC School of Dentistry and VCU School of Dentistry. He is also published in several peer-reviewed journals, including the Journal of Oral Implantology, Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry, and Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Dr. Whitley and his wife Katharine have a yellow Lab named Banks. Dr. Whitley enjoys the outdoors and adventures in hunting, fishing, and boating. He is a fan of football, including the fun of tailgating, golfing, and grilling.

Excellent care! Called for an exam and was booked for the same day. The facility is new, the staff friendly and care exceptional. My dental tech (Robyn) was extremely knowledgeable. She took the time to explain oral care. I was very happy with the overall experience.

Personally, I would not have my son and I go anywhere else other than Eastern Carolina Dental. All of our visits have been satisfactory. From the warm greetings as soon as we walked through the door and up until the end of our visit was amazing. I just want to say thankyou to all the staffs, dental hygienists, and doctors for making sure we felt welcomed and always putting a smile on my son's face, he loves it whenever we stop by. I will continue recommending this location to all my friends and family. Thankyou again.

Well first I was greeted and it smelled very clean and looked it! I can't remember the lady nor the doctors name but they were very sweet and kept checking on me! I really appreciate them being so sweet and her taking her time on my teeth!

My son is 5 and this was his first dentist visit. The office is very nice, and staff is friendly. My son was very nervous, but they made him feel welcome. In the middle of his visit, he gave a thumbs up and said "mommy this is great!" I'm so glad he enjoyed his visit. He's excited for his new toothbrush, and enjoyed the toy the gave him too! were both looking forward to his next visit!

Great office for my daughter! My daughter absolutely loves the dentist and staff. Everyone is always kind and attentive. We are very appreciative to have found such wonderful pediatric dental care in the area. Madison was very personable and helpful at our appointment today. As a mother, I am grateful for her willingness to help and offer suggestions with minor issues we are experiencing. I highly recommend this office for pediatric dental care! I thank the staff for all they do, especially for the care provided to children.

I was looking for a new dentist office after having a bad experience at another office. I contacted eastern Carolina dentist, and they immediately got me in the same day within a few hours and got a treatment plan to get started on fixing the tooth that is causing me pain. The employees were beyond nice, extremely sweet and the dentist explained everything that I needed to have done and why he would recommend this plan of treatment, I would highly recommend if you are looking for a good and friendly dentist office, this would be the one in Jacksonville.

I had a great experience the first time i came here when i was seen by Dr Whitley but as I was seen last Friday I had a whole other experience with a different provider. I was sitting in the chair waiting for anesthetic and when he would sit down to numb me he got called over by other employees so he would keep telling me he would be right back. As I waited I could hear the Dr get frustrated with patients in another room so I felt like this wasn't going to be a great experience with me either. The Dr came in and as he was injecting the anesthetic he kept looking towards the hallway and looked at my mouth and looked back away and he missed my mouth and poked me with the needle on my lip/chin. I just don't see how this could happen, he should have been focusing on my mouth instead of the hallway. He didn't even apologize or acknowledge he did it but i started to bleed and the assistant apologized, the assistant was great. I work in the dental field myself and can't believe this happened. I will not be back.
