I am so blessed to be a second-generation dentist. My father started this practice in the mid-1990s. Now I have the privilege to uphold the best of our traditions while at the same time evolve our practice to be modern in serving you and your family.
Our practice serves the youngest of children to the elderly in your family. We speak many languages including English, Mandarin, Cantonese, Spanish and Burmese. We are passionate about understanding the cultural context of where our patients come from.
Our dental services range from cleanings, fillings, wisdom teeth removal to braces. Our specialty is the prevention and risk management of your oral healthcare issues. We truly believe that an ounce of prevention is worth a ton of cure. We love educating our patients about how to prevent future disease as well as lower your dental healthcare risks.

You are in very good hands with Dr. Irvin. He really is right up there with the top best. The whole staff are super friendly. The whole experience has been excellent. It's my 3rd time with this office.

Review is long overdue -- I absolutely love this office. The staff is always above and beyond friendly and accommodating every time I come in. I came in for the first time a while back for a check up and for a clenching problem I had. The wait is short which is great since I hate sitting in the waiting room (can take up to half an hour at other places). I was in an out in less than an hour for my check up. Dr Irvin recommended that I get a bite guard to reduce my teeth from bruxism as my teeth were already wearing out. He was also very informative and took his time explaining the condition of my teeth and what I needed to do to keep it healthy. Overall amazing service and my only regret is not coming here sooner. It's the best service, cleanliness, and affordability I've had. Definitely recommend to anyone who's looking for a new dentist (:

My family and I have been coming to East West Dental since 2004 and will continue to come! Dr. Irvin has always taken his time to here your concerns and provides the best dental service recommendations. The staff is always so pleasant to talk and provide excellent service as well. I highly recommend East West Dental for their great customer service, great doctors, and cleanliness!

This is my second annual review for East West. I appreciate everyone's kindness and attentiveness during my appointments. What I like about EW is the transparency and patience they have for their patients. Dr. Irvin does an amazing job of explaining what goes on with my teeth and why. It builds more of my trust in him and everyone at EW. I highly recommend anyone to have their teeth taken care of here. Although I take great care of my teeth, I still make appointments for cleanings because I know that if there are any changes or concerns in my teeth, Dr. Irvin and team will inform me and explain how to proceed and fix it.

I've been coming here since I moved to Monterey Park. All doctors and staff are friendly and knowledgeable in this clinic. I had a great experience here. They truly care about your health and take time to explain what's going on for every treatment and why needs to receive that. I would definitely recommend this place to any people who wants to see dentist's help.

Recently had my first preventive visit at East West Dental and had a very pleasant experience with Dr. Irvin and his team! Going to the dentist is probably one of the least favorite activities for most of us, but the team was awesome and helped provide a thorough cleaning as well as valuable education about my overall oral health. They made me feel welcomed and comfortable throughout the entirety of my visit. Dr. Irvin is very friendly, compassionate, funny, and knowledgeable. He was super eager to welcome me to the clinic, which was previously run by his father so they have been serving the community for a very long time, and teach me about my teeth and gums based on what he saw on x-rays and during the physical exam. I learned to correct some of my incorrect brushing and flossing habits thanks to him as well as the dental hygienist and have become much more proactive about maintaining my oral health since. I could sense that the practice is very community and education-oriented, which I love, and surprisingly, I look forward to my next follow-up cleaning. I would highly recommend a visit if you are in need of dental care!

I've been going to East West Dental for 15 years since getting my braces done on their orthodontist side. My sisters and I were referred by a family friend and we've been around since. I remember getting my teeth cleaned by Dr. Kaw and now Dr. Irvin (the son) has taken over and it's still amazing. The entire staff is super nice and caring. They always ask about my day and remember things about my job and life. They definitely make you feel like family. I remember going to other dentists when I was younger and when getting an X-ray done, it was painful. This is the only place where it is so gentle you barley feel a thing. The assistant doesn't shove the vacuum down your throat when the teeth cleaning is done. I can fall asleep with how gentle they are there. On every extraction and filling they also work so fast where my mouth doesn't ever get sore for having to keep it open for so long. During COVID, this place makes you feel safe. There's an air purifier in every since room and all staff wears all their PPE correctly. If you need a dentist or orthodontist come visit them. Also, if you need help, don't hesitate to ask. Dr. Irvin and the team is always willing to help!

I've been going here since I was in the first grade. Not a scary place as a kid. My dentist, Dr. Irvin remembers everyone and really treats you well. And personally I think it's important to have a doctors that I can have that kind of relationship with. I was looking at the one star reviews and they're all about pricing. And let's be honest that's a problem with the health care system not the dentist office. Go vote.

I am very recommend go to East West Dental in Monterey Park, California if you need a treatment for your teeth as implants, check up & cleaning etc. The dentist are experiencing & professional handle all kinds of services also the charges is reasonable. The facility is clean & nice especially tools are very upgrade . The staff are very helpful.

Dr. Irvin and his team at East West Dental are the best! I have been coming here for over 10 years and every visit has been consistent in quality and care. Dr. Irvin's craftsmanship and customer service is unmatched. I always feel welcomed with my questions/concerns and I love that Dr. Irvin prioritizes educating patients about their conditions/treatments to encourage the best dental care plan. Dr. Irvin is truly one of the best dentists out there and the only dentist I trust with my teeth. I have visited his office twice since the pandemic and it is very reassuring that they have strict safety protocols. All patients are required to be screened before entering and all rooms have an air filtration system running at all times. Definitely makes me feel more at ease during times like these. Highly recommend EWD to anyone!

Doctor Irvin and his team are amazing when it comes to putting clients first. Staff are super welcoming and friendly which speaks volumes about how employees are treated. I had an appointment for a teeth cleaning and Irvin's team helped with a moderate cleaning. The hygienist was super friendly and knowledgeable. In addition, my teeth had high amounts of bacteria/stains and Irvin's team provided a deep clean and techniques on how to clean my teeth better. East West Dental is different from other dental locations because they put clients first and educate clients on how to better take care of your teeth.

If I could give more stars I would! I've been with East West Dental for about 6-8 years now and they have been the most consistent at providing phenomenal patient care. I got all my wisdom teeth pulled out today and the procedure was quick, clean, and comforting! I was feeling anxious coming in because I was informed of the risks that I would face with each tooth pulled out, but Dr. Lee and his assistant Peter's expertise and reassurance throughout the procedure made me feel confident. Dr. Lee cracked a few jokes in between and the funniest one was when he said "it's a boy!" after pulling out a tooth and peter made sure that I knew how to care for my mouth post-procedure by repeating steps clearly. Lynette and the staff at the front desk were also very kind and welcoming! The staff really takes care of you and I wish more people knew about this place! On some of my previous visits (teeth cleaning/checkup), their assistants and especially Dr.Irvin patiently explained my dental health and answered any and ALL questions that I had. He's very passionate about his work and about providing the best care possible and to serve each patient's needs accordingly. I really appreciate the entire staff and their efforts to make patients feel valued. Their care is genuine and doesn't go unnoticed! EastWest Dental is also very easy to reach over the phone and they remind you of your appointments. Small things like this make a huge difference compared to other places and it's why I keep coming back! Big thank you to EastWest dental!
