What I love about what I do: Since working at EVIP from the first day we opened our doors in 2003, I have had the opportunity to work with so many different types of patients and personalities. The best part of my job is being able to not only see patients leave with a smile, but also return with one.
Originally from Peoa, Utah, Dr. Todd Jorgenson received his bachelor's degree in Science from Utah State University . He later attended dental school at Oregon Health Sciences University . Dr. Todd Jorgenson then attended Oklahoma University Health Science Center where he received his Master of Science in Periodontics.
In addition, Dr. Todd Jorgenson is a member of the American Academy of Periodontology , the Arizona Dental Association , and the Academy of Osseointegration . Dr. Todd Jorgenson also founded the East Valley Dental Symposium, which strives to educate and train dentists on the newest and best Dental Implants and periodontal techniques available.
Dr. Todd Jorgenson and his team are trained in all of the latest periodontal procedures as well as the latest technology in dental implants, cosmetic periodontal procedures and laser therapy. Whether your needs are to replace missing teeth, retain a loose denture, or improve your periodontal aesthetics and health, Dr. Todd Jorgenson and his staff provide the highest level of care.
Dr. Capps then completed an intensive three-year surgical residency at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics , where he earned a specialty certificate of advanced education in periodontics. He went on to achieve the status of Diplomate with the American Board of Periodontology, which is the highest recognition of achievement awarded by the specialty. Dr. Capps has a unique enthusiasm for his work, and is known for his empathetic approach to patient care.
As Arizona natives, Dr. Capps, his wife, and four children love the desert and are happy to be surrounded by their families in the East Valley. He was a professional pianist before dental school and still loves to play in his spare time. Dr. Capps loves camping and fishing with his kids, enjoys classic rock trivia, and is proud of his reign as ping-pong champion of the UNLV dental school. He has a dynamic, engaging personality and is excited to meet patients and help them achieve their goals.

Dr. Jorgenson did my implants some 20 years ago and did a wonderful job. 20 some years later I am still very happy with my implants and the choice I made to go with Dr. Jorgenson. Since then I've been going to the Mesa office for routine cleanup. I always have a pleasant experience on every visit and am impressed by how friendly, organized and efficient they are. Back then some 20 years ago when most doctor's offices were still a paper mess East Valley Implant & Periodontal Center had already fully computerized and automated, even with X-ray. There was no film but rather viewed on computer screen immediately. They were so ahead of everyone else. I highly recommend Dr. Jorgenson and this Mesa office.

Speaking from someone who has a handful of implants, Dr. Capps rocks! He's intelligent, caring, extremely thorough and patient. This new patient will be seeing him and his nice staff when my precarious tooth is ready to be replaced with an implant. Thank you Dr. Capps!

Dr Todd is a wonderful practitioner and the staff is outstanding. Stephanie is unbelievable with her injections. I didn't even feel the naso-palatine injection. Impressive

This review is about Dr. Joseph Capps at the Scottsdale, Arizona office of East Valley Implant & Periodontal Center. I have no experience with the Mesa office. If you're going to a periodontist, you've probably been referred there. Count yourself lucky if the referral is to Dr. Joseph Capps. He is masterful not only in his practice but also in his communication with and understanding of his patients. Even though he has probably given the same various treatments hundreds of times to his patients, he treats everyone like it's the first time - because it is probably THEIR first time and they need the reassurance that they are in professional, profoundly skilled and caring hands. Which they are. When he is working on your particular issue, he talks you through every step. You just know that, whatever dental problem you are dealing with, it's being handled by the best, the brightest, the most gifted in his field. Being treated by Dr. Capps was a comforting experience.

Jorgenson and his staff are such a delight. Always very attentive, concerned,informative and knowledgeable about procedures they perform... Im so happy with my implants.. Always treated with respect . Cant ask for better doctor and staff . And love his interaction with his employees, and the stories he shares to them and me.. About numerous topics.. I will miss hearing them since I have only one more visit.. Thank you for loving what you do..it truly shows. You take real good care of your patient's

Barbara (my best friend) went to have implants installed. The staff were VERY pleasant and empathic to Barbara's nervousness of having the procedure. Everything went better than planed. Our Dentist was a very nice and personable guy. Great environment and staff. The same not negative thing I could possibly think of to say was the cost. But, if you want a professional to perform professional work, this is the place.....VERY happy and would definitely and HIGHLY recommended!!
