If children have positive dental experiences when they are young, there is a greater chance they will have better oral habits as adults. Right when you walk in, you are greeted by professional, friendly staff. There is a beverage and coffee station to help you get your caffeine fix. For the kids, theres a play corner with toys and a public library at which little boys and girls can take and leave a book for more reading at home.
We are extremely careful to minimize radiation exposure for children. The amount of X-rays are tailored to each childs individual needs and our state-of-the-art digital X-rays use 80 to 90% less radiation than conventional X-rays. With the use of lead aprons, digital X-rays, thyroid collars, and collimators, the amount of radiation received in a dental X-ray is extremely low.
We are able to manage progression of cavities without the use of any numbing or dental drills by the use of silver diamine fluoride and a technique called the Hall crown. Please seek details if your child is a good candidate.

Today, we took our 11 month old son in for his first dentist appointment. My husband and I have not had the best experiences with dentists in the past, from personal experience. So, we were of course a bit nervous taking our son in. Well, this was by far the best experience either of us have ever had! The front office staff are quick and extremely friendly. They talked to our son and actually asked about him in general. It wasn't the typical, "Hi, welcome." and end the conversation there. No, they actually asked us about him, talked to him, and tried to make him smile. My husband and I were already sold on the front office staff alone. We saw Dr. Norman and his assistant. Wow...just wow. They were soooooo friendly, informative, gentle, and compassionate. Their vibe definitely matched the front office. The doctor took his time with our son and never did anything to make us or our son uncomfortable. He would front load our son with things he was going to do. The way he did it was oddly familiar to me. How he would introduce himself, the instruments, and his procedures to our child was flawless. I couldn't help to think that he had some background in behavior studies when working with children as I am a special education teacher and his approach was extremely similar to what I do with my students. Sure enough, I came home and read his bio and prior to completing his medical degree in Dentistry, he was a behaviorist, in home, for children on the spectrum. Boom! There was the familiarity. Amazing approach and so well done. Shocked a doctor actually uses these methods to be honest! All in a good way of course. As the examination went on, he was able to complete the cleaning, and floss, for our 11 months son. Which by the way, he hates it when we try to touch the inside of his mouth. With Dr. Norman though, there were zero issues! So impressive. We were not fortunate to meet Dr Norman's wife but I am sure she is just as amazing as her husband. Very genuine doctor and staff. Also, very clean and organized facility. If you are looking for a pediatric dentistry to bring your precious love(s), look no further. East Valley Children's Dentistry will be your forever go to.

I brought my daughter here for her very first dentist appointment and I had the best experience. The dentist and his staff are super friendly and welcoming. My needs were met and taken care of. We left with goodies and a photo. The place is also very clean and modern.

Very impressed with the office and the doctor! Clean, modern office tastefully decorated, extremely friendly, caring staff and very gentle, attentive doctor. A perfect ambience for the little patients, makes you forget the scary word "dentist". My daughter is asking me to write that she loved everything ;)

We had our son's first visit here. We were recommended by a friend. Dr. Chen, his wife, and his staff were absolutely amazing! They made us feel welcomed and cared for. My son did not fuss and allowed Dr. Chen to work on his teeth. Everyone was surprised, including us. He got to get a toy, a printed 1st visit photo, and a sticker. Their office is very clean and inviting. We cannot wait to bring our son for his next check up.

Seriously the best dentist office for kids. I'm a little sad they don't also take adults, since this place was both immaculately clean and professionally organized, but also playful enough for kids to enjoy. They have TV's on the ceiling, but the staff were so pleasant and disarming that my kid didn't even want to watch the movie -- since it was more fun to spend the time there talking to them. Everything was explained very well -- including x-rays, ages to expect everything, what to look for, how to practice best dental hygiene at home, etc. I never write reviews, but this place earned it. Update: After coming in another time, I can safely say that this is still the best dentist's office I've ever been to. They knew exactly how to keep my kid calm and happy, while ensuring that any conversations about treatment that might scare him were done privately with me -- just in case. They even offer water and coffee (Starbucks drinks) to the parents and free toys and stickers to the kids. Wonderful people and an excellent example of how a business should be run.

Our family had a wonderful experience at East Valley Children's Dentistry. Doctors Chen and Pham are a dynamic duo that treated our family like family from the moment we walked in the door. They are very friendly and welcoming. From the small touches like our kids names hand written on their welcome wall to the cleanliness of their office we felt like our needs were being taken care of and our concerns addressed. The exams by Dr. Chen were very thorough and he provided a personal care that eased our kids anxieties. We are pleased to have moved to East Valley Dentistry for our kids dental needs as we felt like we had become just one of many numbers/patients at another local dentist office.

Was looking for a new pediatric dentist in Burbank. East valley popped up and we read up on them and made an appointment. The office is clean, modern and has very friendly staff. We saw Dr. Chen (his wife is the other dentist), and loved him. He was so friendly with my daughters and asked questions to get to know them/ make them comfortable. The X-rays were thorough, and Dr. Chen went over every detail with me and answered all of my questions with patience. Highly recommend.

It was first time experience for my kids to visit dental office. I was amazed that the office is so clean, bright and modern. The couple dentists are so friendly and all the staff are very welcoming and helpful. My kids left the office with happy face with their freebies. This dental office is highly recommended.

I took my special needs child here yesterday for the first time. The staff greeted us with smiles. My son's name was on the wall under the words, "Welcome To Our Family!" Such a simple but caring gesture. My son loved his visit. He was comfortable the entire time and cooperated with the dentist and staff for x-rays and exam. I appreciated how the dentist explained everything he did and all he observed in my child's mouth. The staff taught my son the proper way to floss and now he's flossing with enthusiasm. He's even asking when he can go back to the dentist to see his friends there. Thank you East Valley Children's Dentistry!

I highly recommend! We had the best experience for my daughter's 1st Dental appointment. They even took a picture of us to keep as a momento for her 1st visit! The staff was so friendly. The Dr was very thorough and made us both feel at ease and love that they specialize in Pediatric Dentistry. The office was modern clean and very welcoming. I am glad I have found a Dentist for my daughter's growing teeth. :)

I needed a last minute appointment for my toddler who had chipped a tooth and they were able to fit us in. I was so impressed at the friendliness of the office staff. Dr. Norman was great with my toddler. He was thorough, patient, and made me feel at ease. I ended up here because our regular pediatric dentist was out of office; now I plan on continuing care with Dr. Norman and his team because it was a such a positive experience. Wonderful facilities also.
