Dr. Benjamin Martin has practiced orthodontics since 2011 and enjoys the personal interactions he has with his patients throughout their treatment. Dedicated to helping people achieve more confidence through beautiful smiles, he strives for perfection in each smile he creates.
Dr. Martin completed his bachelors degree in biology at Brigham Young University, his Doctor of Dental Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, and a Master of Oral Biology along with his orthodontic residency training at Baylor College of Dentistry. Dr. Martin is also certified by the American Board of Orthodontics an achievement reached by only one-third of orthodontists.
Dr. Martin is always looking for ways to stay involved in the community. In the past, he was involved in a number of volunteer programs. He enjoyed tutoring high school students to help them achieve their goals of going to college. He also took great pride in providing dental care in charity clinics in Honduras.

Dr. Benjamin Martin provides braces for you to align your teeth and perfect your bite. These braces contain metal brackets that are glued to the front surfaces of the tooth. These brackets are connected by wires that push and pull the teeth into the desired positions. If you are correcting your bite, rubber bands might be used to shift your upper and lower jaws into alignment.
This process takes some time to give you the final results you are looking for. You will come into our dental office multiple times to get your braces tightened, which will involve your dentist reapplying the constant pressure you need to transform your smile. You might feel a little sore or sensitive when your teeth are in the process of moving, but it will only last for a few days and will result in your perfect smile.
Clear braces are similar to traditional metal braces in terms of structure, but the primary difference is that the brackets, wires and bands are all tooth-colored and made from ceramic instead of metal. Clear braces are an affordable and efficient option, combining the best of both traditional braces and Invisalign aligners.

I have extreme anxiety when getting dental work done. I am sorry I didn't get the name of dentist,or the young man who was his assistant. Both had remarkable chair side manner, soothing my fears, and resolved my issue. Entire staff friendly and helpful. Thank you! I highly recommend.

East Texas Dental was AMAZING! I had not seen a dentist in over 10 years. I was scared of losing teeth and being scolded. They eased my fears and made me feel like I was sitting with friends and family. Prices are very affordable and EVERYONE is so nice. Thank you East Texas Dental for taking great care of me and the encouragement. PS two cavities that will be filled and I didn't lose any! YAY!!!

East Texas Dental Associates of Tyler, TX is quite simply, a top-notch organization from the front desk staff to the dental hygienists and assistants, the business office staff, and the doctors themselves. Jesus Deese, Insurance Operations, went above and beyond to personally ensure that I received all my insurance benefits in a prompt manner. Dr. Gerbholz and his assistant Brandy have great personalities! Their calming words, gentle approach and bedside manner make you feel completely at ease. The quality of dental work performed at East Texas Dental Associates of Tyler, TX is second to none. In sum, the doctors and staff of East Texas Dental Associates provide great care, in a friendly environment, that makes you feel like you are a part of their family. Dr. A, Apryl and Lorena are all so wonderful! I previously despised going to the dentist and needed a bit of work. Terrible ortho service, wait times over 40 minutes just to be taken to the back, wires have been loose and have had to go back after appointments several times to have them fix it, in addition brackets have fallen off multiple times resulting in having to drive almost an hour back. They were rude in the front office when asking how long the wait was going to be after 30 minutes, then they proceeded to try to bring someone else in after I have waited over 40 minutes after my scheduled time and they just came in, the only reason they took me in then was because I told them they were already 40 minutes late. They do not care about their patients at all.

I came in for a toothache to find out I'd need a root canal. Dr. Parks and Ray are amazing. They were so sweet and patient during my root canal. I have major periodontal disease and they treated me very kindly and were not rough with my teeth/gums at all. I've been to many dentists and periodontists and they are usually always somewhat rough with my teeth.
