I am not a review-writer at all, but I felt compelled to write a review after my visit here. I have been having jaw/facial pain for about a month. Very severe and sudden. I assumed it was dental, and my dentist said I should see an oral surgeon because it might be my wisdom teeth. I visited a different location (not East River), who took an X-Ray. I was made to wait an hour, and nurses would pop in and out to ask "You have pain in your ears right?" (I didn't.) I was disturbed they got my symptoms wrong, and annoyed I was kept waiting to close to an hour for the doctor. The doctor saw me very quickly and said all four wisdom teeth needed to come out. I was frazzled but made the appointment, however, my gut was telling me that something was wrong with how impersonal it was. I decided to seek a second opinion and came here to see Dr. Gavriil - and thank god I did!!! He was surprised the first place did not do a CT scan, and recommended not having my bottom two wisdom teeth out as they were on a nerve and could cause facial numbness if removed. It could not have been a cleaner, friendlier environment with a more knowledgeable, professional doctor. I was put at ease (which for me, a nervous nelly, is hard to do). He really took his time examining me/listening to my symptoms and in the end recommended I see a neurologist for the facial pain. Now I have, and she thinks I may have trigeminal neuralgia, a condition where many people have invasive dental surgeries trying to relieve the pain before they are properly diagnosed. I am inexplicably grateful I came here - I did not undergo unnecessary oral surgery that would not have relieved my pain. When I do get my top two teeth out, I'm coming here and trusting no other doctor for oral surgeries here on out!

Dr. Gavrill has saved my life twice so I think a review is way over due. 5 years ago my impacted wisdom tooth was also infected and for two nights I had suicidal thoughts(yes it hurt that bad) Dr. Gavrill was able to squeeze me in the next day and saved my life. I had 0 anxiety once I met him in person. He is the most caring doctor one can ask for and his extraction expertise is second to none. I walked out of there with a bounce in my steps thanks to him! Fast forward to today... my wisdom tooth on the other side acted up and right away I scheduled to see Dr. Gavrill. To my amazement he actually remembered me from 5 years ago and can even recall some of the small details. He extracted my impacted wisdom tooth within and hour and saved my life again. If you want a great doctor who is an expert at what he does, and also really cares about his patients, he is your guy trust me!

This doctor is not all about money. There aren't enough words to say how thankful I am for Dr.Gavriil, knowledge, gentle, and very competent. Front desk are very polite and professional, Ana and Elizabeth helping you with NO ATTITUDE!! Trust me there are not many like them. Thanks again!

Dr. Gavriil is a very caring oral surgeon who is always concerned about his patients safety and comfort. If you need a tooth removed and or bone grafts for an implant, He is the perfect Doctor for the job.

The best experience I could have asked for. I was in pain from my wisdom tooth. Please note that I never had a wisdom tooth removed. I gave the office a call and they were able to squeeze me in for an appointment the same day. After explaining to Dr Gavrill where the pain was coming from, he thoroughly went over my X-ray with me and identified the issue. 10 minutes later I was getting my wisdom tooth pulled. With music playing, I felt so comfortable during the entire procedure. I did not expect to get my tooth removed so quickly and with no pain at all! I feel so at ease - what a great experience. Great Doctor that really knows his stuff. 10/10 recommended!

Went in for a consultation to look at a wisdom tooth for extraction. Took an xray and 15 minutes later the tooth was pulled. No pain during or after. The place actually had a decent amount of street parking so I didnt have to worry about meters. When I paid I was given a printed list of what my insurance charges for the procedure even though I never asked for an explanation. It's was a nice touch so you didn't feel like you got robbed lol. I hopefully dont need anything else removed ever but if I had to I would return without hesitation!

I have NEVER had such an unprofessional experience! If I could give a minus I would. The receptionist acts as if her lights are on and no one is home along with being rude and unprofessional. Now for the Dr., the man should have his license revoked, scheduled an appointment to remove 2 wisdom teeth, (which required me being off blood thinners for 7 days). His lack of empathy for my excruciating pain was obvious from my initial visit. When I called the day before to confirm my appointment, I asked(the receptionist since the Dr. was too busy to get on the phone) if it would be acceptable for me to take something to ease my anxiety prior to the procedure?? Valid question I would think!! She returned to the phone and rudely told me the Dr. refused to treat me, as he is not equipped to handle an anxious patient. Needless to say I was shocked, and asked if she understood what I was actually asking, she RUDELY stated she understood and the Dr. did not want to treat me!! My advice to anyone considering this Dr. is RUN, he clearly doesn't understand or respect the oath he took!!

Dr Gavriil is the best doc I've ever seen. Funny down to earth and overall made my visit amazing. Him and his team made sure I was aware of what I was paying up front and told me why I was paying what I was. He was able to remove 1 tooth and i wasn't even scheduled. He helped me weigh my options regarding my wisdom teeth. Will always be my go to!!!!

dr gavrill was amazing. i drove an hour and a half. he squeezed me into his schedule made me so calm and nothing hurt during the procedure of 4 teeth being extracted. he was wonderful and caring. he will be the first person i run to from now on....awesome staff and team too

Front desk is amazing. She's super sweet and comforting. The oral surgeon is beyond phenomenal. Love this place. Made my wisdom tooth removal experience at ease.
