Dr. Reckling received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Nebraska Medical School College of Dentistry in 2003. He holds undergraduate degrees in both biology and psychology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Dr. Reckling relocated his family to Sioux Falls, SD upon graduation from dental school, where he began his career practicing general dentistry.
East Ridge Dentals core values include giving back to the community and a commitment to personal growth. In recent years, Dr. Reckling has volunteered his skills at the Sioux Falls Community Health Clinic and has served on the Sioux Falls Community Health governing board. Dr. Reckling is a member of the South Dakota Dental Association, the Southeastern District Dental Society, the American Dental Association and the American Orthodontic Society. He has a passion for continued learning in his field. He has received instruction in the Spear Curriculum, Progressive Orthodontics, as well as certification in Invisalign.
Dr. Reckling and his wife Linda have two sons, Samuel and Nathan, and two beloved canines Annie and Charlie. He is actively engaged in family life and is currently pursuing his black belt in Taekwondo (along with his two sons). In his spare time he enjoys golfing, hunting, fishing and cycling. He is also an avid Husker Fan.

Everyone who works at east ridge is so kind and friendly! Dr. Reckling did my first ever root canal today and did awesome! I couldn't feel a thing and he told me what was happening before he did it!

I'm a big fan of East Ridge Dental! The staff has always been super friendly and remember me from prior visits. I used them for an Invisalign-like aligner system that was very easy and had great results. Adjustments were easy and quick. I highly recommend!

I am relatively new to Sioux Falls. I chose East Ridge Dental due to the probity to our home. Not only is it close they do a super job. Friendly professional staff and all procedures are explained prior to the work beginning. Highly recommend!

Good morning. 15 of june I visited your clinic for the regular teeth cleaning. I do that procedure on a regular basis and I used to do that in a different countries including usa, but this time from the first toll last second I was super disappointed. The lady who did that to me seemed unprofessional to me and I had a feeling that she even didn't know what she was doing. She has never asked me how I feel and is it painful. She was trying to rush the process and I had to ask her to use the water machine for cleaning one more time , because first time she did that quickly and it even didn't last 2 minutes. All the time I had a feeling that she was trying to get rid of me. I left the clinic with a feeling that my teeth are not clean enough. I was scared to tell her this because she would roll her eyes and say that my teeth are okay. I feel that I need to do cleaning one more time but my insurance won't pay for this anymore. What shall I do in this case?

Absolutely phenomenal office. The whole staff is friendly and Doc Reckling is great at his job. Grace is great as well and very nice and always making sure everything is comfortable for me. There's really too many adjectives to describe them without seeming too over the top lol but if you are truly considering a dental office look no further. This is your last look and last stop I'll guarantee you that because you won't find anyone better anywhere. Thank you, East Ridge Dental!!

I had a great experience here. I am new to the area and was looking for a new dentist. This one was in network and got great reviews. They are so friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. They explained everything thoroughly and give fully transparent quotes for any treatments that are needed. I am excited to be a regular patient here!

East Ridge Dental did an amazing job of taking care of my teeth! I recently switched from another office because they no longer took my insurance. The hygienist did a fantastic job of making sure I was comfortable and provided service with the best bedside manor! She went above and beyond to make sure I got the maximum out of my insurance benefits. Dr.Reckling did a great job on my fillings on a follow up appointment, he and the assistant took wonderful care of me! If you are looking for an office that truly cares about it's patients Ridge Dental is a great choice!

I had an infection in a wisdom tooth and needed it extracted. I also happened to be looking for a new dentist so I just did a Google search to see who was close to me with good reviews. I am SO glad I found East Ridge. From the front desk to the hygienists to the doctors, my experience was a wonderful one! My first visit I had Dr. Stacey who was able to diagnose my problem. The second visit I had Dr. Ryon who pulled the tooth quickly and painlessly. I am thankful to the East Ridge team for their help, and look forward to seeing them in the future!

I never thought I'd be leaving such a long-winded review for a dentist, but I promise it's worth the read. When I set my new patient appointment at East Ridge, Brigette asked "is there anyone we can thank for a referral?" and I said "the hundreds of people leaving you 5-star reviews on Google!" I went in on the hunt for someone to slip up, because surely you can't please EVERYONE. From start to finish, the experience was immaculate. Fast forward 3 years & I'm still as impressed. They are proactive in their approach, transparent in their care, & deliver a patient experience like no other. Highly recommend!

I have always not done well at the dentist but these guys were incredible at making me feel comfortable. The front desk staff made me feel so comfortable and made sure I fully understood what my insurance was going to cover and what I needed to know. By far, the best dental experience I've ever had.

I am a customer and former employee of East ridge dental. I have to say you could not ask for a better dental office. Dr Reckling truly cares about his patients. Everyone in the office is AMAZING, from the front desk, office manager, hygienists, assistants all the way to the doctors. It is such a positive environment. The doctors will take excellent care of you. Highly recommended as a dental office and a place to work!

I am a relative new patient to East Ridge Dental and I absolutely LOVE IT! The front desk personnel are wonderful as are the hygienists. The couple of cleanings I have had have been quick, but thorough and I never feel as though I am being rushed out the door. Dr. Reckling recently removed a molar and I felt no pain during and very little after. He was very gentle and explained everything he was doing throughout the procedure. I would highly recommend East Ridge Dental to anyone that likes good dental care and working with the best professionals!

My sister had Dr Reckling place two crowns 3 1/2 yrs ago. She wasn't happy with the finished product. Her bite was off and they couldn't adjust it to where it felt right. My sister ended up going to another dentist for future visits. This year she found out both of the crowns he put on need replacing. My sister called their office to find out if they could do anything as it'd only been 3 1/2 yrs. My sister was told that they couldn't do anything and that since she didn't like his work the first time she probably wouldn't like his work again. So now she is left to pay for two new crowns again (over $3,000.00) as insurance won't cover it this soon. Crowns last 10+ years. My own lasted over 30 years. My sister is very dissatisfied with this office and their service as am I per proxy!!! I would not recommend this dentist!
