Dr. Miguel Vega graduated from N.Y.U, New York, received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1995. His undergraduate studies were completed at Universidad Autonoma of Santo Domingo. Following his D.D.S graduation, Dr. Vega finished residence program at Jersey City Medical Center (GPR I), NJ and Woohall Medical Center in New York (GPR II and III). In 1999 Dr. Vega joined the Dental Corp of the United State Army as a Capitan and worked as an Officer until 2010. His overall goal as Dentist is to provide the best care possible to his patients in a comfortable and calm environment. With his dedication to excellence and high-quality work, Dr Vega and his Staff always provide exceptional care and make his patients feel comfortable and at ease every time they visit his practice.

I made a appointment with them as a new patient went in and was told my insurance was inactive through my job which was not true, and was then told that my Husky insurance doesn't cover through third party so they wouldn't get paid. All I had needed was a filling replaced. The lady at the front desk looked me in the face and ask am I in pain if not can't been seen here. After that I went to my car and called the insurance company Husky and asked am I covered for dental insurance and she told me yes. I went back in and let the receptionist know I just got off the phone with Husky and she said I'm covered for a fillings.This lady was rude and unprofessional and couldn't even speak English clearly . I left and said I'll make a appointment somewhere else.

I came and visited this office with my mother and was welcomed wholeheartedly. It was a great experience. The staff including the hygienists were very professional and made sure I was comfortable and had a good cleaning. I have so much more to say about how positive this place is but it would be too long lol. Highly recommend!

I'm a new patient at East Main Dental. The staff is very friendly and so professional. I been a Dental Assistants for over 26 years so I know when I'm receiving amazing quality and service in the Dental profession. Dr. Vega is amazing and after my 1st visit there I decided to trust him and his staff with my family dental care. Dr. Vega and his staff has treated my family as it we were part of their family. We are welcome from the moment we enter the office by the wonderful front desk staff. Julian and the young lady are sweet and friendly and they go out of their wait to make sure not only we are welcome but do their best to work with our different schedules. My mother who's 73 years had her 1st Root Canal by Dr. Vega. She stated that Dr. Vega's hands were angelical because she didn't feel any pain what do ever during or after the procedure. Dr. Vega was nice enough to see my daughter who was having an emergency and immediately call me to let me know that the tooth was very bad but he was going to do everything he could to save it and he did! She's only 25 years so he didn't want her to loose her tooth. She was seen prior at Aspen Dental who didn't take her insurance and made her signed up to their finance department to finance her treatment which they wanted to extract the molar and wanted her to get an implant for over $5,000.00 for full treatment. Insane what some dental offices will do to get money but at East Main Dental you deal with a Dentist who care and wants the best treatment possible so that is why I recommend this office %. Dr. Vega and his staff would do everything they can to help you or give you other options to help you in any way they can. I had a chance to read some of the bad reviews people enter and it's sad to say that people don't realize how busy dental offices can be and if you have to wait is usually because they either are dealing with an unexpected emergency, or perhaps during a procedure sometimes complications happen.... Believe me I been dealing with many dental procedures for over 26 year and I have seen it ALL! I used to worked at UConn Health Center in must of their 10 Dental Clinics and for Correctional Manage Health Care for the DOC Department as a Dental Assistant. We understand pain but pain doesn't come over night and it's simple, is because we don't take care of our dental needs until is too late.

SLOW SLOW SLOW!!!!(EVERY SINGLE APPOINTMENT no matter what you are getting done!!!!) RUDE STAFF that don't care about your time and not nice at all... How can you tell someone that an appointment will be a "quick and easy" appointment and then leave them in the dentist chair for 4 hours?????? Plus the front desk staff are very rude. Why do you schedule so many patients if you don't have enough hygienists and dentists working here? Shame.

Two months of my mom being in pain, given the run-around, referred to a specialist by this office because of a "spot" on her xray; specialist expressed confusion about her referral to him; "they sent you here for this?" The staff repeatedly asked mom if she speaks Spanish (she does not) and why is that relevant? Today she went in for the double root canal and left in tears; brought into her appointment 35 minutes late. When trying to express she was in pain, from insufficient numbing, the surgeon stated, "we're gonna have to send you somewhere else because you keep moving", then left the room for 30 minutes to "let the Novocain kick in". Once almost finished, Mom was asked how teeth felt, mom explained she felt a bump to which the surgeon replied, "give me a break, I'm trying here". In total, mom was in the chair for 3 hours, mouth wide open and hurting, pain dismissed, staff talking over her, surgeon dismissive and rude. Since she has to return, I will surely be available to accompany her next appointment.

The first time I went i didnt have the best experience but i decided to give it another shot and it was well worth it the young lady with long black hair who checked me in was the absolute best and I was so happy she took my x rays and was very delicate and patient with me . the other assistant that doesn't speak English was extremely rude and rough my first visit

I have never been treated any worse than I was here . The lady dentist worked on me and another patient at the same time , I was there first and she took another person in I was there for hours . Then whe. I got a tooth removed it took hours she broke the tooth put me In more pain then I have ever been destroyed my gum a huge hole that took months to heal . Never again .

East Main Dental entire staff was wonderful. As a new patient I was able to be seen the same day and get a tooth extraction. The dentist and assistance were great I felt safe and comfortable.

I have been going to East Main Dental for the last 4 years I love the doctor she is so caring. I take my two children there and so far who haven't encounter any issues they always accommodate my appointments to my work scheduled.

I brought my mother to this dental and she had a wonderful experience. The young lady in the front desk made me feel welcomed something that I haven't seen to often in the dental field. The female dentist was very professional along with her assistants. Afterwards the young lady in the front desk was able to accommodate a time so I can bring my mother in. I would recommend to anyone who wants to feel welcomed.

The young lady that works at the front desk was very sweet while I was checking in. She made it very easy for me. She also did a very great job at taking the X-rays of my teeth and was very patient and delicate !!!! Will definitely be coming back soon :)
