Wayne L. Faulkner, DDS is the founder of Smile by Faulkner, which has now transitioned into East Lakewood Dental. He began his career in dentistry over 30 years ago. In 1998, he opened his Lakewood Ranch office, the first Healthcare provider in the Lakewood Ranch area. Dr. Faulkner is passionate about helping his patients and ensuring they receive the most comprehensive and advanced dental care available. He loves challenging cases and is driven to find new techniques to help resolve all dental problems. Dr. Faulkner received his Doctorate of Dentistry from the University of Nebraska and competed his surgical residency at Emery University. He and his family reside in Bradenton.
Dr. Lafrenz began practicing dentistry over 30 years ago in Michigan. He relocated to Florida and joined the team at Smile by Faulkner, which is now known as East Lakewood Dental. He is passionate about providing each patient with the finest dental care and the most successful treatments possible. Dr. Lafrenz is a member of the American Dental Association, Florida and Michigan Dental Associations, Academy of General Dentistry and the Dental Honors Society. He has received honors from the Academy of General Dentistry, Oral Surgery and the Anatomy Award.

I am so grateful to Dr. Lafrenz . He is so professional, knowledgeable and kind . He is an active listener and very understanding . He's truly cares about his patients and it shows . He helped ease my mind and my discomfort. I am comfortable today because of his care. Thank you Gina , his great and caring assistant ! Dr. Faulkner is a great dentist as well! My visit to the dental office was very positive. The staff was kind and professional. Didn't have a wait time for my appointment. Cristina did an amazing job with my care.
