Dr. Eng was born and raised in southern California, in the city of Los Angeles in what is better known as the ghetto, 48th and Hoover was south central LA just 11 blocks south of USC. His dad was a mechanical engineer and mom was a seamstress. The family was poor but his parents worked hard and gave everything to their kids and family. Eventually Dr. Eng 's family moved to the Crenshaw area and he spent his life there prior to college. He attended Dorsey High School, and played football and tennis. During his first year playing football, his mom told him 'You have to stop playing football.' When Dr. Eng inquired as to why, she replied, 'Because you just got braces and I don 't want them to get ruined.' So football was short lived, but tennis (as the safer and mom-approved sport!) was played throughout high school. The varsity tennis team competed as one of the top 3 teams in the city for the 4 years in high school.
After graduating, Dr. Eng attended USC for the next 8 years. For his undergraduate degree he studied Nutritional biology, and received his doctorate degree at the USC school of dentistry. It was during his first year of college in 1977 that he met his eventual soulmate, Vickie. They dated for 8 years and were married after Dr. Eng graduated from dental school. Vickie graduated from the USC school of pharmacy. After settling in Yorba Linda in 1987, they had two girls, Mandy and Lauren. Mandy, the oldest, graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. She was a Satellite & Stress Analysis engineer at Boeing in El Segundo. Now she just accepted a position with Applied Medical a medical device company. Lauren, the youngest, graduated with her doctorate in Pharmacy from USC. She finished a residency in Amcare specializing in cancer. Lauren just accepted an Amcare pharmacist position at Martin Luther King Hospital in Compton. Neither girls wanted to pursue dentistry as they both think it's gross to put your hands in people's mouths!
Dr. Andrey Eng loves being a dentist, and has wanted to be a dentist since he was five years old. His dentists growing up were great influences and helped guide him. One of Dr. Eng's dentist mentors even worked on movie stars like Elizabeth Taylor and Barry Manilow, and Dr. Eng has seen some of their x-rays. With great passion, Dr. Eng is constantly educating himself. He loves new technology and wants to incorporate any that will provide the absolutely best care for his patients. From minimally invasive dentistry to high tech lasers it's all about taking care of his patients whom he treats as friends.

If you hear a sudden burst of laughter in our office, greater than 99% odds it's Eileen! Eileen works as our front office manager and helps patients understand their insurance and benefits. She is noted for her extraordinary memory and friendliness with all of her patients.
Eileen grew up locally in La Habra, California. She attended Bryman's College for dental assisting. Eileen has been the mainstay of the practice. The history of the original practice dates back to 1984. Eileen has been here from the beginning and has engaged the benefit of long-term relationships with so many wonderful patients.
Carolyn has 27 years of true, dedicated service to our practice, and is Dr. Eng 's 'right hand man'! She is the organizer and manager of the clinical area of our office. Carolyn is so good at everything she does. I never have to think twice about anything she does as I know it will be perfect.
Carolyn was born and raised in Orange County, California. She attended Southern California College of Medical and Dental Careers obtaining her RDA. Since starting in 1992, Carolyn has enjoyed seeing many of the same patients, their extended and expanded families as well the new patients that come to our practice.
Katherine is celebrating 27 years of true, dedicated service to our office, and is considered Dr. Eng 's 'left hand man'! She is the manager and organizer of our OSHA regulations and our resident ace photographer. Katherine is one of the gentlest people you will ever meet. She just wants to do anything to make you happy and it comes from her heart.
Katherine was born and raised in Orange County, California. She graduated from Canyon High School and then attended the Southern California College of Medical and Dental Careers. Katherine has worked in numerous offices and has been working for Dr. Eng since 1992.
Like J.R. Smith, the best sixth man off the bench, Lisa is multitalented and can do anything in our office! She helps with front office duties, and she is great at chairside assisting. Whatever we need, she does. (We bet she can even dunk a basketball blindfolded!)
Lisa was born and raised in Orange County, California. She graduated from Kennedy High School in La Palma, California. After high school, Lisa attended Cypress College and went on to study at the Southern California College of Medical and Dental Careers. She has worked for Dr. Eng since 1991, but took 11 years off to stay at home with her 3 boys. She has been married to her husband, Shawn, for 31 years.
Jenn is in her second year with our office. She has a warm and caring demeanor and patients love seeing her. Dont be fooled by her gentle nature, she is an exceptional hygienist. Jenn was known as Gentle Jenn during her dental hygiene program. But she has quickly grasped the very advanced knowledge and training in perioscopy, sleep apnea, ozone therapy and pinhole gum rejuvenation. Patience, meticulous and focused in everything she does, and it shows in her success in everything she does.
Jenn was born and raised in Orange County, California. She attended Sunny Hills High School and is an exceptional athlete. She excelled in all sports and was top level softball player and soccer player. For dental hygiene, Jenn attended New York College of Dentistry and graduated in 2017.
Jamie is in her second year with our office. When you meet Jamie, you want to say Aloha. She greets everyone with joy, easy to talk with and makes you feel important. Jamie is exceptional and she is sharp and always one step ahead of everyone. Very quickly we realize her work ethics shows as she became the go to person in showing us how to take perfect x-rays. Shes not afraid of anything and has grasped all the high-level training in Perioscopy, sleep apnea, ozone therapy and pinhole gum rejuvenation with ease.
Tami is entering her third year with our office. But realize, she is one of the most knowledgeable people Ive meet. Tami has extensive training in all areas of dentistry: pedodontics, sealant certification, coronal polishing, sleep apnea, orthodontics invisalign, endodontics, DOC oral sedation, oral surgery, implant studies, scheduling institute comfort dentistry and pinhole gum rejuvenation. Tami loves all new training and keeps herself current.
Tami is so exceptional, she makes my job easier and fun. She engages with everyone and is super friendly and caring. I find myself learning from her vast experience and it has helped me become a better dentist.

I called the emergency line on a Saturday because I had a filling fall out. Dr Eng himself called me back while he was on vacation and squeezed me in that very Monday. Drove here from Monrovia but I wanted to give them a try because Dr Eng is one of the few providers in Socal to practice biomimetric dentristry. From the moment you walk in the front office staff is smiling and greeting me. I was looking behind me to see if someone else was there. Yep, she was greeting me. After a minute or two, Tammy came out from the back just as cheery to bringe to my operatory. I hardly had a chance to sit down in the lobby before they came to get me. Tammy wasted no time and started knocking out the xrays which I love. They know how to take care of business here. She was super nice and provided me some insight with what we might be dealing with. Dr Eng came in and he's the friendliest guy you'll ever meet. He described in detail what was going on and kept me updated through the entire process. His techniques and advanced skill level are worth driving 200 miles for. He used microdermabrasion instead of a drill, so he didn't even have to juice me up with novocaine. He even waited 5 minutes for the bonding glue to set, which never happens in dentistry...because time is money. But that extra five minutes gave my filling 400% more strength to hold. This guy is amazing. He made sure I was comfortable throughout because he would ask me every couple of minutes if I was doing okay. Suffice it to say, it's been my best experience at the dentist, ever. Ever! The entire staff is friendly and it's a reflection of Dr. Eng himself. I've already made my appointment for my next cleaning there. I can't believe I'm about to say this, but I can't wait to go to the dentist!

I was ready for a change. I had a previous dentist who, although nice, wasnt honest. Dr. Eng is God sent! He tells you how it is, why it is and what he recommends because he cares about his patients. Hes gentle and concentrated in his work because his passion is his gift of dentistry. It's a bit of a drive, but it's worth it. The staff is amazing and I love them! Thank you.

Dr Eng has the best infection control methods ever which include ozone water and air filters as well as hepa filters. He was able to fill my tooth and avoid a crown! Best dental staff I have had the pleasure to be a patient of. Dr Eng always uses the best products and most modern procedures to help maintain my teeth. Minimal pain compared to other dentist I have been to. Highly recommend if you want the best in dental care.

I've been going to Dr. Eng's for the last several years and so far it's been a great experience! The staff is incredibly friendly and Dr. Eng does a great job, every time. His office equipment seems very updated and high tech compared to my previous dentist with X-ray usage to check for cavities in between my teeth and ozone treatment to kill bacteria for gum treatment. Overall if you're looking for a great dentist and friendly atmosphere this is the place!
