Becoming a dentist was a lifelong dream for Dr. Marcus Capalbo. Growing up in a family of dentists, he always aspired to follow in the footsteps of his grandfather, father, and brothers. Dr. Marcus is the seventh dentist in his family. His father and uncle still practice in the office founded by his grandfather in Westerly, RI.
Dr. Marcus graduated from Providence College and then attended Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, MA. At Tufts, he earned a Doctorate of Medical Dentistry degree. Following dental school, Dr. Marcus attended the University of Connecticut, School of Dental Medicine where he completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at the UConn Health Center Hospital. Dr. Marcus still continues his education, taking classes and attending seminars all over the country.
Dr. Geoffrey Carignan was raised in Falmouth, MA and then completed an undergraduate degree in biology at Hobart College in upstate New York. Before attending dental school at Boston University, Geoffrey spent a year working and skiing in Park City, Utah.
During his time at dental school, Dr. Carignan volunteered at the Dental Education Outreach in Boston, MA, helping provide dental care and health information for elementary-aged school children in the Boston area. After finishing dental school, Geoff commissioned in the Air Force as a dentist and was stationed in Shreveport, LA and Wichita Falls, TX. There, he gained experience in oral surgery, root canals, and pediatric care.
While in Shreveport, Dr. Carignan researched and presented a case study at the Northwest Louisiana Dental Association Meeting. Dr. Carignan is a member of multiple accredited dental organizations, including the Massachusetts Dental Society (MDS), Texas Dental Association (TDA), and the American Dental Association (ADA). In addition, Dr. Carignan is certified in IV sedation. When hes not practicing dental care, Geoffreys hobbies include cooking, baking, skiing, and camping.

The ADA is committed to its members and to the improvement of oral health for the public.

I love this place! Just had my second cleaning. Both hygenists have been very attentive. Love that their rooms have natural light! The are very good at scheduling so you don't wait long, and text reminders are a big plus for me. My first visit with them was an emergency which was booked over the New Year's weekend. They solved my problem quickly and economically (and painlessly!).

Great dental care offered at EG Family Dental. I'm a new patient there and they could not have been more welcoming and friendly. I developed a painful dental problem and from the appointments secretary to the Dentist they were amazingly responsive to my problem and ultimately resolved it.

They made so comfortable. I don't have the nicest teeth but Dr.Geff and Jess calmed my nerves about my mouth, they came up with a workable plan and I can't wait to get started on my beautiful smile!!!

I was there to have an old filling bonded tooth replaced with a crown. The staff was friendly and professional ( as always ) and Dr. Geoff was wonderful. Absolutely no pain, advised what was happening, what to expect etc. Would recommend this practice unequivocally!

Great Dental Practice. Punctual, took me right in when I arrived. Followed all of the Covid safety procedures. Geoff is a great Dentist, friendly, thorough and goes out of his way to make you feel comfortable. Front desk staff very friendly and helpful as well.

Never felt so comfortable at a Dentist's office, the staff is friendly, professional and kind. Dental Hygienist Karen, is awesome and if I could I would have my teeth cleaned monthly. I scheduled my first appointment with EG Family Dental for a second opinion after my dentist of 15 years determined that extraction was the only treatment for a cracked molar. Rather, EG Dental successfully repaired the molar.
