Dr. Warner is a graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry in 2000 and has practiced in Mt. Pleasant since 2002. Dr. Warner is a volunteer dentist at East Cooper Community Outreach and the Carolina Cleft Lip and Palate team. He has dedicated his career to providing you with the best that dentistry has to offer. Dr. Warner is continually educating himself & his team on the newest dental techniques & approaches to provide your family with advanced, antiseptic, comfortable & personalized dental care. He has completed over 500 hours of continuing dental education.
The doctor has completed courses in cosmetic dentistry, oral conscious sedation, endodontics, implants & TMJ therapy. He is a member of the American Dental Association & a fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry (something fewer than 5% of dentists achieve). He also is a member of Mount Pleasant Presbyterian Church & a volunteer at East Cooper Community Outreach. Dr. Warner lives in Mount Pleasant with his wife Amy & their two daughters.
Dr. Catherine Kotz is a 2005 graduate of the Medical University of South Carolina Dental School. She graduated at the top of her class and was awarded membership to Omicron Kappa Upsilon, our nations dental honor society. In 2006, Dr. Kotz completed a year residency at Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine in the Advanced Education in General Dentistry program. She remained in Boston for another year and worked in a general dental office near Boston, MA. Then, Dr. Kotz and her husband, Jeff, moved to his hometown of Tallahassee, FL, for three years.
Dr. Kotz began working at East Cooper Dental with Dr. Jim Warner in the summer of 2011. She loves helping people achieve a healthy smile and loves the wonderful patients she meets every day at ECD. Dr. Kotz works in the mornings at East Cooper Dental and spends the afternoons chasing after her two energetic her two little boys, Clayton (5) and Bentham (3).

Shannon is originally from Georgia and has over 31 years of experience in a dental office. Shannon graduated from Georgia Perimeter College in 1997 with a degree in Dental Hygiene and in 2006 relocated to Charleston. She has spent the past 15 years caring for her patients and takes pride in educating patients on all aspects of oral health care. In March 2013 Shannon moved from our full-time hygienist to taking over duties of office manager.
When not in the office, Shannon loves to spend her time with her Golden Retriever, Andy, getting ready for competing in multiple dog sports, working out, boating, and spending time with friends and family.
Brittney graduated from the Alamance Community College CODA-accredited dental assisting program with honors in 2011. She has worked in all fields of dentistry but enjoys cosmetic and general practice the most. She is passionate about patient care and enjoys sharing her dental knowledge with others. When she is not working she enjoys traveling, live music, and hanging out with her dog and cat.
Courtney has been a registered dental hygienist for over 12 years. She grew up in East Lansing, Michigan, and later moved to Scottsdale, Arizona where she stayed for 8 years before making the switch to Charleston. In her off time, Courtney enjoys hanging with family and friends, the beach, and anything outdoors.
Mariah is a Charleston area native and graduated from the dental hygiene program at Trident Technical College in 2016. Mariah and her husband, Joey, currently reside in Goose Creek. She loves to make her patients teeth sparkle and educate them on healthy oral hygiene. On her days off, Mariah enjoys spending time with family and friends, cuddling with her two cats, trying new restaurants, and traveling!
Nadia is a Charleston native. She has been in dentistry for the last 5 years. As a dental assistant, she provides exceptional care to each and every patient. Her warm personality will put you at ease during dental procedures. Nadia is bilingual and speaks fluently in Spanish.

A dental veneer is a thin layer of tooth-colored material (usually porcelain or resin) that bonds to and covers the front of a tooth to improve its appearance. They look like natural teeth, but are more resistant to stains and require removal of less tooth than other options like crowns. They are also customized to have the proper color, shape and size.
Veneers fix teeth abnormalities. Whether its from natural development or an accident, veneers can correct imperfections by simply covering them. Here are some examples of situations where a veneer would be ideal: To fix teeth chipped or broken in an accident, such as a fall, sports injury or car crash. To close any natural gaps on one or both sides of a tooth. To fix teeth that are irregularly shaped, uneven, misaligned or have bumps or other abnormalities on them. To address teeth that have naturally worn down over time. To cover teeth that have become discolored due to food or drink stains or chemical reactions from other procedures.

I visited East Cooper Dental to get information about implants. When I got at the front desk, I could feel an environment of high hospitality. I did not wait that long when I was asked to go to the examination room. I met Dr. Warner who explained very clearly the dental procedure to be performed in my mouth while both of us watched the X-Rays pictures. Then I met Miss Shannon who explain the cost of the implants and treatment. Both persons were very friendly and professional. I must also mention the excellent service of the Dr. assistant. Kudos for your great service.

Welcome back from Mars if you haven't heard about East Cooper Dental! With doctors like Jim Warner, it's easy to see why Mount Pleasant is one of the fastest-growing towns in America. You won't find better dental care on the planet, which is a very big deal if your embattled choppers are anything like mine were. Dr. Warner turned my awful train wreck of a mouth into something spectacularly, breathtakingly normal, and I will be forever grateful to him and his amazingly kind staff. They are miracle workers.

I was referred to Dr. Warner by my family dentist. I needed a tooth extracted, along with an implant. Upon arrival there was plenty of parking and with handicap accessible parking. The exterior was nicely landscaped and clean. The inside of the office was clean with a nice atmosphere. I was greeted as I entered. I arrived 15 minutes early and was taken back before my appointment. Dr. Warner introduced himself and assured me I was in good care. During my procedure Dr. Warner explained everything that he was doing. He was professional but most importantly for me, he checked on me several times to make sure I was comfortable. His staff from front to back was polite, personable and efficient. My appoint couldn't have went any better. I just had my post procedure visit and my visit went great. Dr. Warner again displayed professionalism but at the same time showed deep concern for my well-being. I most definitely recommend Dr. Warner for for dental needs.

Dr Warner's office is always a joy to visit. From the time I check in until the time I check out the staff is always welcoming. Everyone is knowledgeable about the type of care that I need in order to maintain healthy teeth. I'm greatly for East Cooper Dental.

I called the emergency after hours line at 510pm on Thursday about a new onset excruciating pain in my upper back molar. Never received a call back. I showed up at the office first thing Friday morning to discover they have dropped their Friday hours and were closed. Tried to call again with no response. Luckily, Kari Ryan saw me even through I was not a patient and even got me into Steven Cohen for an emergent root canal that afternoon. When you need them this practice wont be there for you. At the very least they should have called me back and tried to set me up with another dentist or call in some antibiotics. I will be leaving the practice.

Been a patient for 5 years now and Dr. Warner and his staff always make me feel comfortable. I've had extensive dental work and honestly, I have not been in pain. Dr. Warner always makes sure you have no pain with procedures. I've also had cosmetic dental work which changed my life! If I had Dr. Warner as my dentist all of my life, I would not have been afraid of going to the dentist. This office makes you feel like your family!

While on a recent business trip I had a filling come out. I contacted East Cooper Dental and they were able to schedule me in as soon as I returned. The whole procedure went without problem or pain. Doctor Kotz gives attention to detail as well as the comfort of her patients. Well done! I do recommend East Cooper Dental!

From the receptionist, dental assistant to the dentist...all very friendly, approachable and professional! Highly recommend them which means a lot coming from a health care professional myself. Note, they also have an emergency crash cart available in house which is not standard yet reassuring for the unexpected (again healthcare provider)!

Tooth posts from an old bad crown were removed today in an efficient and professional procedure. No pain and the follow up post operation by the Doctors answered all my concerns. The physicians and staff in this dental clinic were pleasant, helpful and very professional.
