We are proud of our office, which utilizes state of the art equipment and advanced sterilization systems. Our caring and comforting staff and soothing background music give our dental office a stress-free, relaxing atmosphere.
If you have dental insurance, bring your current insurance card. If you dont have one, we will need the subscriber number, group number, and phone number. This will save time and allow us to help you in the processing of your claim.
Please alert the office if you have a medical condition that may be of concern prior to treatment (i.e. diabetes, high blood pressure, artificial heart valves and joints, infective endocarditis, etc.) or if you are on any medication (i.e. heart medications, aspirin, anticoagulant therapy, etc.).
If your dentist or physician has taken X-rays, please bring them with your referral or have them forwarded to our office as they may be helpful in our diagnosis. A digital radiograph can be emailed to us. Additional films are usually necessary and are taken at our office.
Dr. MacIntyre was born and raised in Daytona Beach, FL. He earned his Bachelor's Degree in Microbiology from University of Florida in 1987. He entered dental school and graduated from the University of Florida College of Dentistry in Gainesville in 1991. Following dental school, Dr. MacIntyre entered the United States Navy and completed a one year General Practice Residency Program at Portsmouth Naval Hospital in Virginia. He then served as the ship's dental officer aboard the U.S.S. Ponce (LPD-15) from 1992-1994. Dr. MacIntyre also voluntarily served on the U.S.S. Tortuga (LSD-46). He then was stationed as a staff dentist at Naval Base Norfolk Regional Dental Center from 1994-1997. Dr. MacIntyre entered graduate endodontic specialty training in 1997 and graduated from the Naval Postgraduate Dental School in Bethesda, Maryland with a Master's Degree in Oral Biology from George Washington University. He also volunteered as a staff endodontist in the graduate endodontics department at Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry, in Richmond, Virginia. Dr. MacIntyre served as a staff endodontist at Little Creek Naval Amphibious Base until completion of his military obligation in 2001.
After receiving his Bachelor's Degree in Sociology from Northern State College in Aberdeen, South Dakota, Bill escaped the cold in the 1970s and made the Daytona Beach area his home. He spent a number of years as a site manager in the food industry. Bill joined the support team of East Coast Endodontics as the Patient Insurance Coordinator and secondary support in the operatory area of the practice in June, 2002. In addition to working with the patient insurance verification and eligibility, Bill keeps the equipment operational and supports the behind the scene details of the practice.
With a professional history in business finance management, Diane joined the East Coast Endodontic support team in January, 2002. Her primary responsibilities include all finance matters for the practice. In addition, she is the primary purchasing agent for the front office and clinic. She keeps all of the financial records for the practice, billing, collections, tax issues, and staff training.
A resident of the Daytona Beach area since 1972, Diane spent a number of years in the Child Care Industry. She enjoys working as a volunteer in her church and the international service organization, Pilot International. She is devoted to her family, friends, church, and pets. Outside of work, she enjoys music, theater, dance, reading, travel and gardening.
A native of New Smyrna Beach, Emily entered the dental profession after high school. She received her Dental Technician certification from Daytona State College and joined the professional staff of East Coast Endodontics in 2001 when the practice opened. Previous to her position as chair assistant for Dr. MacIntyre, Emily was chair assistant for Dr. Alton Sheffield in the field of Orthodontics.
In addition to the dental field, Sylvia's interests include caring for her five Bichon dogs, volunteering in the community through the international service organization, Pilot International and participating in her local church community in Port Orange, FL.
As the first official staff member of East Coast Endodontics, Monica has been instrumental in developing and supporting the professional staff of the practice. She has used her extraordinary communication skills to introduce the new endodontic practice to the area dental community and to promote the practice in the community.

East Coast Endodontics staff went above and beyond. I had a redo-root canal and Dr. Macintyre's experience led to a joyous outcome. The procedure went extremely well and my advise to anyone that needs endodontic work to do their homework and look for experience. East Coast Endodontics is my choice - 5 stars is well deserving.

I am a repeat patient of East Coast Endodontics. Dr. MacIntyre and his staff are first class and good as can be. He is a magician with the pain numbing and I felt no pain whatsoever during the procedure or later after the painkiller wore off. I was so comfortable that I actually dozed off several times.

Bill was the most personable, kindest front desk person I've ever met. His dental assistants were awesome made everything extremely comfortable and Dr. McIntyre went above and beyond all of my expectations... I would recommend this office and this doctor to anybody I ever came in contact with. Awesome job guys!!!!

Wasnt able to make a appointment with Dr due to the fact his reception person said he does not take MedLife insuance and hasnt in 5 yrs...but clearly its listed on his webpage as insurance he accepts. 5yrs its quite a long time to not update your website. Fix it before someeone calls the FTC for false advertising.

Bill was the most personable, kindest front desk person I've ever met. His dental assistants were awesome made everything extremely comfortable and Dr. McIntyre went above and beyond all of my expectations... I would recommend this office and this doctor to anybody I ever came in contact with. Awesome job guys!!!!

I've had 2 previous root canals-never had so much fun with this one!! Dr.McIntyre and his staff, Emily and Bill are AWESOME!! From the moment I entered their office filled with comfy couches, fun TV, I felt immediately cared for and about. Then, met Dr.McIntyre, well, his caring, his unbelievable ability with local anesthetic and his continuous kindness and caring about my welfare, well he is AMAZING!! Dr. MacIntyre and his office are amazing! This was my first root canal so I was very nervous but Dr. MacIntyre was reassuring and made me feel very comfortable before, during, and after the procedure. I never felt any pain and I really appreciated that he kept asking me if i was okay throughout as well as explain what he was going to do. Emily was his assistant and she was also so sweet and funny. I didn't have dental insurance and Bill was a huge help with answering all my questions and helping me find a dentist who was on the dental saving plan I had who could do my crown. Hopefully, I won't ever have to have another root canal but if i ever did, I would definitely have it done here.

The people in the office and the dental assistant were extremely pleasant and efficient. I had knee dropping pain from a tooth and the dentist could not figure it out, Dr Macintyre figured out the problem very quickly. Had the root canal today, quick, painless and I have no pain or aches from the procedure. If you need one see this dentist!

I am from out of town and had to have an emergency root canal- When I called they got me in as soon as possible,then moved me up a day when they had a cancellation . When I got to the office The staff was excellent in explaining my payment options which were many. Dr Maclntyre did an excellent job explaining my treatment options and preformed a root canal. If your from out of town and need a endodontist Dr Maclntyre is the man to see.

Everyone is 100% correct. Dr. MacIntyre knows exactly what he is doing. I had an old root canal that had gone bad under a crown after 30 years and infection set in. No one else seemed to know what was wrong but he diagnosed it quickly and resolved everything without pain. Very thorough and the entire staff was simply delightful. DO NOT go anywhere else.

Would give 10 Stars if I could!!! I had a root canal done here 6 years ago. It was necessary to return today for an unrelated second root canal and again Dr. MacIntyre was AMAZING!!! I felt no pain at all. Was so scared coming to the appointment and they made me feel comfortable and were so professional and got the job done in an hour! Bill at the front desk is such a pleasure and so kind and patient. He answered all of my questions and made the entire process easier! The staff and Doctor are all around Top Notch!!
