Dr. Genevieve Fernandes graduated from Columbia University, New York in 1996 and then did a General Practice Residency program at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. She won the Betty Weinstein Memorial award for the best research paper at Monmouth Medical Center.
She was also President of the Middlesex County Dental Society, Chairperson of the Membership Hospitality Committee at the Middlesex County Dental Society- a component of NJDA, ADA.She was also the Middlesex representative for the NJDA Council on Membership.Dr. Fernandes is currently on the Board of Trustees for Middlesex County Dental Society.She currently serves as the President for the Indian Dental Assoication of North America-NJ.

Dental insurance said I was insured with the office. However they gave me an unknown doctor who billed my insurance company out of network. I tried to call the office multiple times but gave never received any call back. Additionally they tried to sell me so many services. Place is a scam.

Wrote a previous review. The Dental studio takes no FAULT for their failure. Tells me the following excuses: 1) You may have called the wrong office ......(I didn't) 2)My Insurance should be given a one star rating....... (Insurance confirmed multiple times that her practice is IN NETWORK) Again, this dental studio, who was in Network, gave me a dentist who billed me out of network and wont return my voicemail and calls. All they care about is the money. Stay away from this establishment.

I am not recommending the East Brunswick Dental studio specially Dr. Fernandes for following reasons, 1. I needed endodontists to re-treat my root canal and dental pain. From day one Dr. Fernandes mislead me saying they are endodontics but later I learnt that she is not. Initial visit they charged couple of hundreds dollars for initial x-rays and medications. Next follow up visit again they charge us again and keep me waiting for long time. She charged $800 in advanced saying that next visit she will do the re-treat of my teeth. On the day of my next appointment when we went there I saw some different doctor, he has information from DR Fernandes that they will took off my teeth. I clearly asked the doctor are you endodontic but the new doctor was so nice and told me he is not endodontists . I refused to do the teeth extraction and the doctor said he is not going to charge me because I did not take any service. But Again we got letter from insurance that dental studio charged for service which I have not taken. 2. Then we visited Dr. Fernandes office to get refund our $800 what she charged in advance and she told she will do the refund in two days and we came back from her office. We did the follow up many times by call and messaging her on getting my money back but did not get any response back properly for more than one month.. That time I was suffering with pain and all these harassment on getting my money back then we decided to dispute the amount and switch to different doctor for proper treatment and we did that. I went to other Endodontics and found that It's been long time due to staying in infection I need to take the tooth extract. I had to lost my teeth 3. After four month I noticed that they charged me again $800 and Dr. Fernandes is just harassing us. So its my request don't pay anything in advance, else she will run around. 4. Initially they told us that my insurance is fully covered but they are not. Dr. Fernandes also convinced my husband for annual dental check up. My husband also very first time had to pay for annual check up and he is also frustrated with her treatment. Thanks God I declined to take annual check up for my daughter. I can write long story for all harassment she has done with me so far but I want to advice don't trust her. Not only me, seems she did the same things so many others patients(learnt going through others Google reviews). 5. Dr. Fernandes charged amount randomly and when we asked she told don't need worry we already checked with your insurance if not we will return you. As per my insurance for endodontics is 80% covered and how come even they charged that much amount without providing any treatment. I already switched different doctor for proper treatment. It's our hard earn money and do not want to let it go by this way.

My family and I have been seeing Dr Fernandes for all our dental care needs for more than ten years now. I am personally grateful for the care and the warmth we received every time we visit. My schedule easily gets filled with so many activities that sometimes I tend to push back on dental visits but our dentist is always patient on following thru ensuring that we get checked. She have gained my trust for all my dental needs.

My first time here was excellent, everything I came here for and more was looked into and followed up on. Anything you need is at this location. From cleaning, implants , Invisalign, etc . The staff / doctor is very helpful and on point for your needs !

I got an offer to do Invisalign and i took the chance. It's been a journey but i've finally finished using all my sets. There's a vast improvement. Dr. Genevieve Fernandes was in charge of my care and did a good job. Am pretty impressed with how my alignments turned out compared to how my teeth were before. Thank you so much to the entire team in both locations for all the services, keeping me up to date with my treatments and accommodating my work schedules.
