Dr. Makarita graduated from the Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry in 1988, and maintains a private practice in McLean, Virginia with an emphasis on aesthetic reconstructive dentistry. He believes strongly in continuing education and is committed to keeping up with the latest techniques and materials to provide his patients with exceptional dentistry.

Dr. Makarita was awarded Mastership status in the Academy of General Dentistry. In order to achieve this, he was required to attend over 1100 hours of continuing education in all phases of dentistry, of which 400 of those hours involved participation courses and case presentations.

He is among an elite group of cosmetic dentists who have Accredited Fellowship status by the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD). To date, this prestigious professional designation has been awarded to only 67dentists worldwide. Dr. Makarita is currently the only Accredited Fellow in the state of Virginia. To achieve accreditation, one must complete extensive advanced education in cosmetic reconstructive dentistry and must pass a rigorous Accreditation Board Examination. In order to become an Accredited Fellow, one must successfully present 50 clinical cases to the examining board. Fellowship marks the highest level of clinical achievement in the AACD (aacd.com). Dr. Makarita reached this status through a dedication to continuing education and the commitment to produce exceptional dentistry.

In addition, he has achieved Mastership status with the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies (LVI), where he is a clinical instructor and regional director. Dr. Makarita is a Fellow of the International Academy for Dental Facial Esthetics, a Masterof the International College of Oral Implantology, a member of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry and a board member of the International Asoociation of Physiologic Aesthetics.

Dr. Makarita was recognized internationally by winning numerous smile gallery awards with the AACD, including the prestigious Peoples Choice Award. His cosmetic and reconstructive dentistry has been featured twice on the cover of the Journal of Cosmetic Dentistry and he has authored clinical articles related to Aesthetic Reconstructive Dentistry, Dental Photography and Occlusion. He has been voted among the Top Dentists in the Washingtonian Magazine and the Northern Virginia Magazine for the past several years. Dr. Makarita is an national and international lecturer in the field of aesthetic reconstructive dentistry and Occlusion.

Dr. Mostafa Aboulkhairgraduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree with honors in 2007. Prior to that, he also attended dental school at Ain Shams University School of Dentistry in Cairo, Egypt, graduating in 2001 with a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree. In 2011, he pursued additional studies at Columbia Universitys Comprehensive Implantology Continuum, attending 81 hours of practical coursework over a period of 6 months. Later that year, he was awarded a Fellowship of the International Congress of Oral Implantology (ICOI). Dentists receiving this honor have been certified by their peers and have met national standards of education and practice in Oral Implantology.

Dr. Aboulkhaircurrently practices in his private dental office in the greater Washington DC area in Fairfax, Northern Virginia, providing a diverse range of dental services since 2015. Prior to that, Dr. Aboulkhair served as principal dentist and managing director at the main dental practice in Luray, Virginia, from 2007 to 2014.

As his post-graduate training intensified,Dr. Aboulkhairwas drawn to combining art and science to gain the best functional and aesthetic results for his patients. In 2014, he pursued further studies on temporomandibular joint (TMJ), neuromuscular and aesthetic dentistry by enrolling in an advanced training program at the world-renowned Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies (LVI). He is currently enrolled in the LVI Core Curriculum which includes a minimum of 278 continuing dental education hours of training in advanced aesthetics and neuromuscular science, with the goal of becoming an LVI Fellow by the end of 2018.

Dr. Boyd loves providing cosmetic dental procedures for his patients and has forever practiced under his motto- Creating and Restoring Smiles. Patients whove had the opportunity to receive care from Dr. Boyd have remembered and enjoyed his gentle hands, his attention to detail and at times his chair-side singing. Dr. Boyd has certifications in Invisalign treatment as well as certification in Implant Dentistry.

Dr. Boyds giving and caring spirit extend far beyond the dental office. For over 20 years, Dr. Boyd has given back to the Hampton Roads community via mentoring, teaching and coaching youth athletics. He currently coaches a girls AAU (Travel) basketball teams under the Boo Williams Summer League Organization and has been with the organization for 13 seasons.
