Dr. Ali Zadeh and his family have called San Francisco Bay Area home for the last 10 years. Dr. Zadeh is a graduate of University of California Santa Barbara with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences. He moved to San Francisco and subsequently graduated from University of California San Francisco School of Dentistry. He completed a General Practice Residency at San Francisco Veteran Affairs Medical Center. Dr. Zadeh received his general anesthesia permit following completion of his Dental Anesthesiology residency program at Jacobi Medical Center in New York, Dr. Zadeh has had extensive experience in providing anesthesia services for children, adults and special needs patients.

Dr. Anuhya Uppula, is a board-certified pediatric dentist. Dr. U, as she is often called, graduated from UCSF Pediatric Dentistry in 2016 where she also received her Masters in Oral and Craniofacial Sciences. She completed her dentistry training at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine and undergraduate studies at UC Berkeley.

Dr. U is a firm believer in following the standard of care protocols and materials in treating children. She places special emphasis on educating patients on oral health care. Dr. U has successfully completed over 1500 general anesthesia cases and has worked with Dr. Zadeh for 2 years. She enjoys keeping up with the latest research and even lectures at continuing education courses at UCSF.

When not at work, Dr. U indulges in her many passions including teaching, art, dance, theater, cooking, beauty blogging, and gardening (ask her how her avocado plant is doing!). She currently lives in Sunnyvale with her husband.

Mayra, our dental assistant, has assisted in the dental field for over 7 years. She has experience assisting in all areas of dentistry including orthodontics, endodontics, and pediatrics. Mayra has worked in private offices, community clinics, as well as surgery centers. Her interpersonal skills, upbeat attitude, and amicable demeanor make her an asset to our team. On her free time, she loves spending time with her pet horses and competes in Escaramuza (horse riding competitions).

Monica is our Office Manager. She has several years of experience working in dental offices. Throughout her career she has had the opportunity to work for pediatric dental offices and surgery centers. She is proud to call the bay area her home, and she is fluent in both English and Spanish. Monica obtained her Bachelor's degree from San Jose State University in May 2015. Monica is driven, passionate about the work she does, and takes pride in making sure patient's needs are met. As such, she will ensure your experience at East Bay Dental Surgery is patient-focused and provide the utmost care. During her free time she enjoys cooking, watching football, spending time with her family, friends and puppy.
