Dr. Trents dental office is located in the Bend Area of West Virginia. Nestled in the rolling hills of West Virginia and just off the Bridge of Honor, we offer a convenient location for the surrounding area. We have been active in this small-town community for more than twenty years. Our patients are our families, friends, and neighbors, so we take pride in building a relationship with each one. We customize individual treatment plans for each patient and we involve you in decisions regarding your treatment. We want you to be confident you are getting the best quality care.

Carrie Miller is our dental hygienist. She graduated from West Virginia Tech in 1994 with a Associates degree in dental hygiene. She completes continuing education courses each year in order to improve her work performance and keep up with advancements made in the field of dental hygiene. She has been working for Dr. Trent since 2002. The thing Carrie loves most about her job is spending time with her patients and getting to know them on a personal level. Carrie lives in Clifton, West Virginia with her husband, Mike, and herson, Cass. She also has a step-son, Bryant. Carrie enjoys watching her son play baseball and going to flea markets. Dawnda Browning is our dental assistant. She graduated from International Correspondence School in Scranton, PA where she studied medical office assisting. Since 1997, shes been assisting Dr. Trent chairside. Her favorite part of working here is getting to meet so many different types of people. She and Dr. Trent enjoy joking with each other and with the patients while theyre in the chair. Dawnda is from Point Pleasant, and she currently resides in Clifton, West Virginia with her chihuahua, Tito, and her bunny, Bailey. When shes not at the office, she spends time gardening, scrapbooking, sewing, crocheting, and reading. She also volunteers at Soul Harvest Church.

Deanna Johnson is our office manager. She graduated from Liberty University in 2012. She has been with us since 2015. This is Deannas first job in the dental field, but she plans to make a career out of it. She likes the fast-paced environment and doing whatever she can to ensure patients have a pleasant experience at our office. Deanna grew up in Point Pleasant and currently lives in Hartford, West Virginia. In her free time, she enjoys running, geocaching, and reading. She also spends timevolunteering at Soul Harvest Church.

Cynthia Smith is our receptionist. She is a graduate of WVU Parkersburg. She has three years of dental office and assisting experience. She is the most recent addition to our team. She has been with us since 2015. Cynthia spends most of her time at work at adesk, but she can also assist Dr. Trent chairside when the need arises. She enjoys the interaction she has with the patients, as well as co-workers. Cynthia has been married to Brad Smith for more than 25 years and they reside in Mason, West Virginia. They have three children, Jordan, Olivia, and Elijah. Cynthia is involved in childrens and music ministries at Fairview BibleChurch.

We are able to bill most insurance companies, but we are not in network with any of them. We made this decision because we want the patient and the dentist to be able to make any and all decisions regarding treatment, instead of theinsurance companies dictating treatment plans. For example, if you need a filling in a tooth that also needs a crown, most insurances will not pay for both even though they are necessary to ensure stability of the tooth. Not being in network with them allows us to give you the best possible treatment.

Co-payments are due at the time of service. We base your co-payment on what we estimate insurance will pay. If for any reason they do not pay in full, you will be responsible for the remaining balance.

We are able to send a pre-treatment to insurance companies before any major treatment is started, so we know ahead of time what insurance is going to pay on a certain procedure. Many times, patients use the insurance pre-estimate as a factor in their decision regarding what treatment with which to proceed. We understand that finances are a often crucial part of making these decisions, so we want to make sure you have as much information as possible before you decide. While we are not in network with the insurance companies, we do everything we can to make sure you get the most out of your insurance.

Dr. Trent is originally from the Beckley area and he graduated from Independence High in 1986. He graduated from West Virginia University in 1990 with a Bachelors degree in Biology. He paid for his undergraduate education by working summers in the coal mines. He then went on to WVU School of Dentistry, where he graduated a semester early and completed the Northeast Regional Boards. In 1994, promptly after graduation, he purchased the practice of the late Dr. Carsey in Mason, West Virginia. He graduated from Midwest Implant Institute in 2005 and has been placing and restoring implants for over 10 years. He is currently in the process of becoming an MII Fellow. He is also a member of The American Dental Association, The West Virginia Dental Association, and The Kanawha Valley Dental Society. Dr. Trent married his wife Jennifer while he was in dental school. They have been married for more than 20 years and they live in Point Pleasant with their two children, Hunter and Autumn. Dr. Trent and his family regularly attend the First Church of God in Point Pleasant. He is an avid outdoors-man and enjoys hunting and competitive shooting in his spare time.
