Dr. Woeltje received his Bachelor of Arts from Augustana College with majors in chemistry, biology, and pre-dentistry. He received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery Degree from Northwestern University. He served as director of graduate periodontal training at Northwestern University for seven years, in addition, he served as Associate Professor in both the graduate and undergraduate clinics at the University. He taught in the Crown and Bridge department at Northwestern University immediately after dental school and continued on a part time basis in his early years while practicing in Streator.
His civic involvement included an eight year board position for the YMCA, serving a two year term as president, volunteer for American Cancer Society, serving as one time smoke out chairman. Dr. Woeltje lives in Streator with his wife Rita, and daughters Alexandria and Madison. He personally enjoys woodworking, sailing, snow and water skiing.
The doctor places a very high value on continuing education for himself and his staff. Continuing education involves courses on advanced dentistry that are taken after graduation and while in practice. In fact, Dr. Woeltje has 33 years in the field as a M.A.G.D. and F.A.G.D.!
The doctor is a current member of the American Dental Association, American Prosthodontic Society, and is a Master in the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Woeltje also serves as Peer Review Chairman for the State of Illinois Dental Society in this area.

Dr. Woeltje has been living in Streator since 1985. He is also the only Streator Dentist that lives in Streator, making him more available to his patients. He lives with his wife Rita, and daughters Alexandria and Madison and personally enjoys woodworking, sailing, snow and water skiing.
Dr. Goodman has been performing periodontal treatment at our office since 1986. He attended the University of Maryland for both his undergraduate and dental training. He completed his specialty work at the University of Iowa receiving a certificate of specialty in Periodontics and a Masters in Physiology.

A dental hygienist is a licensed professional qualified to detect and remove calculus and other foreign matter to assist the dentist in his diagnosis of dental disease. They are authorized with further training to provide injections and help maintain oral health and educate the patients on oral hygiene. It requires a two to four year degree completion program. Upon graduation, hygienists are licensed by the state and are required to complete twenty-four hours of continuing education every two years.
Caryn is a Registered Dental Hygienist who graduated from Southern Illinois University in 1984, and started in our office March 2001. She completes 36 hours of continuing education every three years, is certified in local anesthesia and CPR. She works Wednesdays and Fridays. Caryn lives in Ottawa with her husband Dave and has 3 children Larissa, Lance, and Lindsey. She has worked in periodontic, pedodontic, and general dentistry offices. Caryn enjoys outdoor activities such as camping, fishing, water and snow skiing, and gardening.
Jean began working with us in January of 1996 and works Tuesdays and Thursdays. She received her Registered Dental Hygienist license in 1971 at Parkland College, Champaign, IL. She completes 36 hours of continuing education every three years, is certified in local anesthesia and CPR. Jean and her husband Ed live in Ransom. They have seven children, Kathleen (Nick) McGurk, Brian (Heather), Peggy (Jim) Callaghan, Kevin, Danny (Mari), Megan (Zac) Bitner , Ryan and fifteen grandchildren. Jean enjoys working out, gardening and biking.
Patti began working for Dr. Woeltje in December of 2000. She received her Registered Dental Hygienist license in 1979 at Illinois Central College, Peoria, IL.. She completes 36 hours of continuing education every three years, is certified in CPR, the monitoring of Nitrous Oxide, and local anesthesia. Patti and her husband Don live in Ottawa. They have two children Stacey and Chris. She and her husband Don enjoy gardening, walking, hiking, and the occasional game of tennis.
Theresa is a Registered Dental Hygienist who graduated from Southern Illinois University in 2007. She completes 36 hours of continuing education every three years, is certified in CPR, local anesthesia, the monitoring of Nitrous Oxide. Theresa is also the Program Coordinator and instructor for the Illinois Valley Community College Dental Assisting Program. Theresa and her husband Chad live in Streator, where they enjoy spoiling their 2 dogs Rosco and Isis.
Barb has been a member of our team since November of 1990 as our Dental Assistant, Lab Technician, and Supply Coordinator. She is a member of the American Dental Assistants Association. She enjoys continuing education courses in all aspects of the practice and has taken several computer courses. Barb is a life long Streator resident. She and her husband Brian really enjoy summer and spending time together with an occasional friendly round of golf, walking, and staying active in exercise classes and working out. She loves flower gardening and spoiling their cat Shy.
Chelsie joined our staff in July 2012 as a Dental Assistant. She completed the Dental Assisting program at IL. Valley Community College in July of 2012. She was born and raised in Ohio, IL and is looking to relocate in this area. She enjoys boating, hunting, scrapbooking, and spending time with family and friends.
Gayla is our Office Coordinator. She joined our staff in July of 2006. She is responsible for the accuracy of the treatment records, updating financial and medical information and the logging of all pertinent information in the computer. She brings extensive knowledge and experience in handling insurance claims. She and her husband Jeff, live in Leland and have two sons, Tim(Nicole) and Cory and has 2 grandchildren. She is a Pampered Chef Consultant. She also enjoys walking, bicycling and being with family and friends.
Chrissy is the newest member of our team. She joined our staff August 2014. Chrissy is assisting with the duties of the front desk. She was raised in Chicago IL, and relocated to Ottawa in 2005. She enjoys meeting new people, spending time with friends and family, and doing outdoor activities.
Cynthia joined our staff summer of 2014. She is currently a senior at Streator High School. Cynthia is in a work program at school, and comes into our office a couple hours of the day to assist wherever needed. She is looking forward to achieving her goal on becoming a dental hygienist. She enjoys being outdoors and spending time with family and friends.
