Digital X-rays offer a huge advantage in early detection and preventive services. Advanced image manipulation and analysis, for example, allows your doctor to detect early stages of gum disease through recognition of bone level changes, or by evaluating the results against a previous treatment.
An intraoral camera is an indispensable diagnostic and educational tool. The tiny video camera moves around inside of your mouth and generates a tooth by tooth video exam of your teeth. Using an intraoral camera allows patients to better understand their dental needs by seeing what the dentist sees and then having it explained.
Lasers are a non-surgical approach to arresting the progression of periodontal disease. Following scaling and root planing, a laser is used to significantly reduce the bacterial colonies and decontaminate the infected periodontal pocket. Lasers also remove the infected tissue lining the periodontal pocket. As the infected tissue is removed, microscopic blood clots form and your body's natural healing response takes over. As you heal, the tissue reattaches to the bone and your gums return to a healthy infection-free state.

I hadn't been to the dentist in several years. I went to my insurance providers website and every place I called wouldn't be able to get me in for a cleaning until October. I called Eagan Smiles and they offered me an opening the next week. They stated they have openings for new people every week. I went in and used the app Eagan Smiles my chart to get all logged in. We got started with my images, then the Dentist came in. We discussed their concerns and mine. Then got started on a cleaning. I want to give a special call out to Ganga, he's such a kind soul. I've had many people clean my teeth over the years he was very gentle during the cleaning. He will talk with you and hum along with the music with me while he works. Thank you Ganga! Also the staff is a great support team. I asked them all for recommendations on tooth paste, tooth brushes, mouth wash. They can even get you a nice discount on a new tooth brush. I'm very pleased they were able to work me into their schedule. Take my concerns seriously and show me my health was their priority as well

The receptionist, Shelby, spent all the time I needed to ensure I understood the financial costs of my plan, their plan, and their "regular" costs. I've had terrible experiences with other dental providers, but Eagan Smiles has provided me the best patient experience I've ever had at a dentist. I appreciate the respect they gave me in regards to my financial situation, helped me to figure out the best options, and all the dentists/support staff are excellent at communicating and making you feel comfortable. I would like to thank Mike Alwin and the entire staff at Eagan Smiles Dentistry. My daughter had to have an emergency tooth extraction/cavity refill and not only did they provide a competitive price, but were able to have the dental surgeon reschedule to the Eagan office for the next day. The entire staff was friendly and professional. Highly recommend and I know this dental office will always go above and beyond.

I want to state that I have never felt more welcomed and cared for at any other dental facility. I have been dealing with a fractured tooth for 2 months I went to 4 different dental centers. 1 was a county run facility. One facility was a very prominent practice here in Eagan.I was charged $150-$200 just for the examination of the 1 tooth The free clinic wanted to remove the old filling and replace it. But the appointment was weeks away. In that time the tooth got severely infected. Not 1 dentist who examined this issue would do anything unless they received the $1800-$2300 up front. There was 1 exception, Eagan Smile Center with Dr Jacob Kerkering and his great assistant. Including the receptionist. They gave me a full mouth xray and examination. And Dr Jacob ,and his assistant throughly took time to examine the fractured tooth. My Delta insurance benefits are limited until the 12 month waiting period is over. That didn't stop this team from focusing on relieving my pain today and taking care of the infection immediately. Dr Jacob told me that he wouldn't send me home without dealing with my pain and infection. I wanted to give him and his assistant a great big hug. Dr Jacob Kerkering and his assistant cleaned out the tooth and packed it with antibiotics and placed a temporary filling into the tooth. He also gave me a prescription for antibiotics, which will help with the pressure and pain. Dr Jacob Kerkering and his team are the most compassionate and caring medical professionals I have had the privilege of being under the care of.4 other dentists took money from me for an examination, and didnt do any action to help relieve my pain and infection. I am now a Eagan Smile Dental customer for life. Oh my hygienist was amazing and gave me a through cleaning. He took his time and explained to me how to really floss. He is the best. Photo enclosed. I was told that the tooth cant be saved and im scheduled for an extraction on Monday. I was told by other dentists that the tooth could be saved for 1800 dollars. I was told here that that would be a waste of money. The tooth wouldn't last 1 or 2 months after being capped. I don't know about you, but I like honesty. Thank you Doctor
