Since graduating with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from NYU College of Dentistry in 1987, Dr. Engin Sangiray's philosophy has been providing excellent, compassionate and individual care for his patients.
As an established and highly skilled licensed Dentist in the New York City area and now Long Island, with over 30 years of experience, he prefers to practice with a conservative yet, thorough and gentle approach in treating his patients' needs in his state-of-the-art practice.
After graduating NYU College of Dentistry, he completed a general practice residency program at Maimonides Medical Center located in Brooklyn, NY from 1987 until 1988. Moreover, Dr. Sangiray has completed advanced training at NYU College of Dentistry for Oral Surgery and Implantology: Surgical and Prosthetic Treatment from the years 1995 until 1997. Through continuing education courses, he has incorporated new dental techniques, especially in the area of regenerative and implant dentistry. He is also a Certified Invisalign Provider, a member of the American Dental Association and member of the Second District Dental Society.

I've been going to this dentist office for years. The staff have always been friendly. Today, I went in due to tooth pain. The doctor immediately faced in the opposite direction towards the computer and said "what's the problem?". I cut him some slack because he was probably tired. The doctor totally dismissed my pain and mansplained wisdom teeth to me. He barely asked me any questions. I was looking for him to explain the options I have regarding my wisdom teeth and give me a referral. The receptionists gave me more information on what to do and were so sweet compared to the doctor.

Been taking my family here for years. Great team. Facility is clean and professional. They even worked hard to appeal one of my insurance rejections . I 100% recommend.

I have been going to this dental practice for years. I have always found that Dr.Sangiray provides meticulous care. He always takes the time to to make sure that his work is well done. I trust him. Just today we started working on a veneer on one of my front teeth. He gave me a temporary and the color, shape, size etc. look like it is a real tooth. You would never know! It matches perfectly. I have been to a number of dental practices during my lifetime and some dentists just don't have the expertise. This doctor does and my experience has been that he prides himself in his work. And besides that, the staff is great to deal with and the office is extremely clean and well cared for. I moved to another location almost 2 years ago which is about an hour away by car but I still make the effort to come to his practice. Thank you everyone. I'm so glad you are at 1575 Broadway in Hewlett!!

After confirming appointment six different ways twice by text and twice by phone, I show up for my appointment and I am told he won't see me by the front desk. So disorganized and terribly rude front service receptionist.

Despite Covid precautions my appointment was seamless, Dr Sangiray is the best. The assistant "Maria" was very nice and thorough through the entire process. Dr. Sangiray was quick and patient. Great office, staff and location. Thank You

Always a great experience and the staff is great!..The Hygienist (Septa) is super awesome and is very gentle while performing a teeth cleaning..Dr. Sangiray is always pleasant and let's me know what I need to do to keep my teeth in good condition..I will continue to go back

*****0 stars*****Not entirely sure how this dentist even has 4 stars. Dr. Sangiray has messed up 3 of my family members teeth including my own. I had 2 cavities that needed to be refilled, both teeth next to eachother and he put a layer of filling over both teeth, essentially connecting the 2 teeth leaving me unable to floss in between the two. He does not care about his customers. He does the quickest job possible and sends you on your way. Extremely rude dentist as well. If you care about your dental hygiene do yourself a favor and do not come here. You will end up having to correct the horrible job he did by going somewhere else. Again, beware! If you are interested in more information contact me and I can send you pictures of the botched dental job. BEWARE!!!
