I was born in Washington but grew up in Alaska! I grew up playing sports & loving the outdoors. The outdoors in Texas though are a little bit different, but I still love it. My family had several dogs growing up & we named them all Smokey (at different times).
I went to school in Utah at BYU for undergrad & Roseman University for dental school. Believe it or not, I really started a love of skiing in Utah & not Alaska. I joined the 3rd graduating class at Roseman so we had a brand new facility & great technology. I continued my education by completing a 1 year residency, Advanced Education in General Dentistry, here in Waco at the Family Health Clinic. My family decided to stay in Texas.
I met my wife Caitlin, at church, while in Dental school. We have 2 beautiful, energetic girls: Nellie (3 years) & Jane (1.5 years). They like going for walks, & bike rides. And we love living in Speegleville. I hope to get them interested in golfing & fishing so that I have an excuse to do more of that myself.
I participate in several dental organizations: American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association & Academy of General Dentistry (AGD). I like the AGD because of their emphasis in continuing education. I hope to help patients through all aspects of dentistry such as preventing major problems with crowns & fillings or relieving pain & difficulty chewing with root canal treatment or implants. With increased risk for systemic diseases, adults & children who have trouble staying awake or snoring may have sleep apnea which can be screened for.
