Dr. Samantha Shaver is a lifelong Kentucky resident. She received her dental degree from the University of Louisville in 1994. She has been active in organized dentistry since her graduation. She has been vice president of the KY Dental Association (2000), president of the KY Academy of General Dentistry (2000-02) and president of the Louisville Dental Society (2004-05).
In 2007 Dr. Shaver was awarded her Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry. A dentist who has received their Fellowship offers his or her patients cutting-edge care. We have to complete 500 hours of continuing education in various disciplines and then pass a rigorous examination. Its not easy, but its worth it to make sure my patients are getting the best possible care available.
Dr. Shaver places a premium on a well educated and up to date team. All team members exceed their continuing education requirements. Every one has a current certification in CPR as well as training in medical emergencies. Yearly the office takes contuing education courses in OSHA, HIPAA and infection control.
Darla has worked in the dental field since 1982. She received her dental hygiene degree in 1994 from the University of Louisville. Darla has state certification in nitrous oxide administration and local anesthesia administration. Her specialty is helping patients understand the connection between dental health and systemic health. She works with the patient to identify issues and solutions to ensure they have a healthy mouth, body and a beautiful smile.
Andrea has been a dental hygienist since 2003 receiving her hygiene degree from Lexington Community College. She also has state certification in nitrous oxide administration and local anesthesia administration. She enjoys building relationships with patients by establishing trust, providing appropriate oral hygiene guidance, promoting and maintaining good oral health and getting acquainted on a personal level.
Pam has been in the dental field since 1991. She received her Expanded Duties Dental Assistant certification from the University of Louisville in 1999. Dental assistants can become certified by passing an examination that evaluates their knowledge. Becoming a Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) assures the public that the dental assistant is prepared to assist competently in the provision of dental care. Pam was awarded her CDA in 1998.She brings significant expertise to her work with Dr. Shaver. She strongly believes in patient education and making patients feel more confident with their smiles.
Kristin is the smiling face youll see upon entering the office. She joined the dental field in 2017 and has considerable training in customer service and and dental insurance. Her experience is evident by her ability to effectively help patients understand the complexities of their dental insurance assistance. She is also an excellent resource in helping patients understand the importance of dental teartment in clear, non-technical alnguage as well different financing options available to patients.

Laura was very nice to me. It was my first visit and everything was seamless. Pam was very good to talk you thru things and I love the sunglasses. Dr Shaver is hilarious and thorough. I appreciated the team and I would certainly recommend them to anyone.

Dr. Shaver is a terrific dentist. She and her staff have consistently gone above and beyond to make sure I have the best dental care in Louisville. She explains all procedures and she performs those procedures flawlessly. The staff is always well prepared and eager to make sure your dental needs are their top priority....terrific place and in my opinion, the only place to get dental work performed.

I have some pretty severe anxiety related to the dentist office, but the people working here are really fantastic and understanding! It's a really clean environment, and I haven't had any issues or problems.
