With sedation, your dentist can work more effectively by helping you become as comfortable as possible using well established and proven methods. There are a variety of sedation medications that are taken orally or 'sublingually' (under the tongue). All sedation medicines are administered at our offices, under the care of an assistant.
IV sedation puts you in a relaxed state of mind but does not put you to sleep. You will remain awake and be able to respond to any requests the doctor may have while you are sedated. Patients often experience partial or total amnesia for the full period of sedation. That is to say, you will not remember most of (or sometimes all of) the procedure. Meanwhile the drugs we use will give you a very pleasant feeling of euphoria.
You will be aware of what is happening while it is happening. You will feel at ease with what is happening. You will be able to respond to our requests during the procedureall this and you wont remember a thing!
We do not use narcotics in our IV sedation. Instead we use drugs from the benzodiazepine family. Benzodiazepines work by suppressing anxiety inducing effects in the brain. They do nothing to prevent pain which is why we will always use a local anesthetic during any procedure which might be uncomfortable. To ensure your safety we will go over your medical history and request a list of medications that you are taking.
General anesthesia refers to any form of sedation where a patient is kept in a state of controlled unconsciousness. When put into such a state the brain doesnt respond to any pain signals that are sent to it. Further, because the patient is unconscious, they do not feel pain. General anesthesia is usually administered through an intravenous (IV) system but can also be delivered through a mask whereby the patient breathes in the anesthetic.
Before we begin your procedure we will need to gather some information from you on your medical history along with a list of any medications you might be taking. This is a safety precaution that we take very seriously. Administration of the anesthetic comes next, through either an IV or (in the case of people who have issues with needles) a face mask. Once the anesthetic is administered it wont take long at all before you are in a deep sleep.

I keep seeing all the bad reviews about employment at this place but it wasn't until I had an interview that I realized how unprofessional it is. I took off work from my current job to take this phone interview and when I got home the call didn't come. It wasn't until after my interview should of been completed that I was told they hired someone. That's fine, but even people with interviews deserve better communication. Wasted my time.

After going to the same Dentist for 40 years, and having him retire this last summer. My husband suggested I go to his dentist Dr. Hirsch at dynamic dental. Isaac was my hygienist and he was fantastic. The whole office was so very helpful. I love how up-to-date on technology and dental care this office is I give them five stars and I'll see him in six months.

It sounds strange but I look forward to my dental appointments at dynamic. Excellent care, wonderful employees. I believe to be first class equipment and first class dental knowledge. 5 stars. Every single time. I put off taking care of my teeth for years, and the team at Dynamic Dental didn't even blink when I scheduled an emergency root canal and crown as a new patient. Since then I've gotten caught up on all of my much needed dentistry. They are always kind, gracious, non judgmental, accommodating and so knowledgeable. I feel so thankful that the practice is always up to date with the newest technology, and at the same time never pushes any unnecessary procedures on me. I get anxious about getting work done at the dentist. Crazy right! I know I know I work in a dental office, but as a child I did not have the best dental guidance in my life. This is a picture of me last week getting my first root canal on a tooth that can't numb. Dr. Huish and his team gave me the option for IV Sedation and IT WORKED WONDERS FOR ME. My teen daughter has bite and teeth problems. They had quality equipment and great advice on how to get a handle on her lack of teeth care. She's actually starting to brush now! I couldn't get her to do it before!
