Dr. Nira Dwivedi, a native New Yorker, received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the Columbia University College of Dental Medicine. She then went on to receive a certificate from the Yale School of Medicine for her general practice residency in dentistry at Yale-New Haven Hospital. She practiced as a general dentist in midtown Manhattan and found that she had a special interest in the field of oral and maxillofacial surgery. She subsequently went on to pursue a one year oral and maxillofacial fellowship at the James J. Peters VA Medical Center, a teaching hospital for the Mount Sinai Medical Center. She then completed her oral and maxillofacial training at New York Medical College.
Dr. Dwivedi is a Board Certified Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon. She is a diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and a fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. She enjoys her role as an assistant clinical professor in the oral and maxillofacial surgery program at Elmhurst Hospital Center, an affiliate of the Mount Sinai School of Medicine.
Markella joined the practice in 2020 as a receptionist. She attended Saint Johns University as well as Queens College and has a Bachelors degree in psychology. At Little Neck Bay Oral Surgery she welcomes each and every patient and provides them with the information that they need to help their visit go smoothly. She enjoys interacting and reassuring patients since oral surgery can cause anxiety for many people. Markella is fluent in Greek and enjoys traveling to new places. When shes not working, she spends time baking and getting together with family and friends.
Sadia joined the practice in 2020 as a receptionist, and she is now an assistant to Dr. Dwivedi. She earned a B.S. in Legal Studies from St. Johns University and is currently attending St. Johns University School of Law. She works closely with Dr. Dwivedi, Markella, and Faith in order to ensure that patients receive the best possible care. The one thing Sadia appreciates most about being a part of the practice is the warm and welcoming environment. In her spare time, Sadia relaxes by spending time with her family, visiting new places and trying new things.
Faith joined the practice in June 2021. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Science and a minor in Chemistry from Plattsburgh State University, and plans on pursuing a future career in pediatrics. Faith has done previous work in research, patient care, and pharmacy. After moving to New York City from Upstate New York, she is looking forward to gaining healthcare experience from Dr. Dwivedi. When she is not working, she likes to go running, watch Netflix and spend time with her older sister.

Dr. Dwivedi is a highly skilled doctor. Her bedside manner is the best, and she really takes the time to explain things to you. Not to mention, she is highly skilled. She has removed mine and my sisters wisdom teeth. It was pain-less, and I had no complications post op. I came back to her about 3 yrs after, for supernumerary teeth. I was very scared as my regular dentist told me that the position of the tooth was very weird. I asked my dentist to refer me back to Dr. Dwivedi, and she was able to do it once again! Quick and pain-less with no complications post op! Thank you Dr. Dwivedi for all your help!

I cannot rave about Dr. Dwivedi enough! My son had to go in for wisdom teeth extractions and was super nervous (so was I)! She is extremely gentle and takes her time to explain everything. She went out of her way to calm my son and the procedure was quick and painless! Love her!

Dr.Dwivedi and Carolina are AMAZING! I was nervous just thinking I had to get my wisdom tooth pulled.I went for my consultation the lady at the desk was very nice! She checked my temperature before entering the office, the office was well cleaned. I was called in fast. I returned to get my tooth pulled. I must say the level of comfort I felt being in that chair because of Dr.Dwivedi and Carolina was incredible. They Genuinely have that chair side manner working in the field! I couldn't be happier to have found a great oral surgeon who has a wonderful caring staff! You can truly see they care about their patients well being. Thank you Dr.Dwivedi and staff you all are amazing. Look no further you found yourself a good Doctor and staff. Would highly recommend without any hesitation!

Dr. Nira Dwivedi is the best doctor I have ever met. Both my husband and I go to her and we couldn't be more happy. She is very professional and knowledgeable. She spends time to explain you what you need and how it will be done. I highly recommend her. The studio is very clean and the stuff very nice and professional as well. I am so lucky I found her! Don't look any further.

Dr. Dwivedi is an amazing doctor. Her staff are very professional. My daughter had surgery there recently and it went well. The office doesn't hold crowds, it's clean and you are treated well. Also your appointment time is honored, no long waits. They take your temperature at the door and have solutions to clean your hands if needed. The doctor is very patient and knowledgeable. I would recommends her as your oral surgeon!

Dr. Dwivedi and her team are very professional, knowledgeable, and provide the utmost in patient care. I had a very intricate implant procedure to be done. Dr. Dwivedi patiently went over each step with me to make sure I was comfortable and understood the process. Everything could not have gone any smoother and without any pain. I took too long to review this, I went to this doctors office hoping that I found the right one this time and I finally did. I had my left top wisdom teeth extracted and they were extremely helpful Elaine, Dr Dwivedi, and theirs another one forgot her name but these 3 have made my experience so comfortable and professional words can't even describe this. Honest out for your happiness type people and I believe it's a one in a million to find people who are not money greedy and don't tell you to do things just so money can go into their pockets for the procedure, they are honest and they are seriously looking out for whats best for you. Dr. Dwivedi's procedure was so quick and painless I literally ended the procedure with "that's it?!" The healing process was so quick I literally forgot that I had the surgery done the next week.

I had molar extraction and bone graft done in 1 visit last month. Elaine was very helpful. Dr. Dwivedi was honest and professional. I asked her a lot of questions during initial consultation. I also visited other DDS for consultation, these men could have costed me more $ and pain.
