An implant supported bridge is a restorative solution for spaces where three or more adjacent teeth are missing. This restoration typically requires two implants to support the porcelain bridge. The bridge provides a functional and aesthetic replacement for a patients natural teeth.
For patients who are missing many or all of their teeth, implant supported dentures may be an alternative to traditional dentures. This solution requires the placement of two or more implants. In order to replace a full arch denture, a minimum of four implants is generally recommended. Eligibility for this solution is dependent upon a number of factors, with jaw bone density being one of the most significant determining factors.
Traditional dentures rely on an acrylic base that sits directly on the gums, held in place by a paste or adhesive. Using implants as supports for dentures allows for a smaller and more comfortable base and less shifting of the prosthesis during use.
Implants can support both full and partial dentures as well as both fixed and removable dentures.If a removable denture is selected, the denture will snap on to the implant rather than requiring the use of denture paste or adhesives.
This procedure is a unique implant solution that allows patients with a completely edentulous (toothless) upper or lower arch to replace all of the teeth in that arch using only four implants as anchors.
There are times when a full size implant is not a viable option, and in many cases an MDI may be a great solution. Small spaces or inadequate bone mass in the jaw may prevent the use of traditional implants. Mini Dental Implants are similar to regular implants but, as the name suggests, are significantly smaller in diameter. Dental implants typically take 2 visits and require a waiting period of a few months from the time of implant placement to the time the permanent replacement tooth can be placed. The placement of MDIs is minimally invasive, often requiring only local anesthetic and no sutures. For this reason, MDIs can often be placed with the final replacement toothin one day.
With this technique, specialized software is used to create custom surgical guides. These guides direct the exact location, angle, and depth of each implant placement. The use of the guide increases the accuracy, efficiency, safety, and predictability of the procedure.
This advanced system uses a custom-made series of aligners created for you and only you. These aligner trays are made of smooth, comfortable and virtually invisible plastic that you wear over your teeth. Wearing the aligners will gradually and gently shift your teeth into place, based on the exact movements your dentist or orthodontist plans out for you. There are no metal brackets to attach and no wires to tighten. You just pop in a new set of aligners approximately every two weeks, until your treatment is complete. Youll achieve a great smile with little interference in your daily life. The best part about the whole process is that most people wont even know youre straightening your teeth.
Impressions have traditionally involved making a mold of your teeth using trays filled with a soft, messy, and often bad-tasting material that would harden around the patients teeth and gums, creating a precise model that is then used by the doctors and the lab to plan treatment and create final restorations.
The digital intraoral scanner provides a new, comfortable, and precise way for our office to take digital impressions of patients teeth. Taking accurate impressions of a patients teeth is a highly important part of a large number of dental and orthodontic procedures.

I really wanted to like Dr. Bodie because his office is super convenient, I had a really positive experience with Michelle up front, and I adored the dental hygienist Ada (or Asa??) who took care of me. They were both absolutely lovely. Also the fish tank in the front is really, really awesome. Unfortunately, Dr. Bodie has absolutely no bedside manner. He talked down to and at me, rather than with me, and seemed generally annoyed by my presence. While I appreciated him letting me stay to recement a crown, he was neither friendly nor gentle in the least, he made me feel really ashamed for not having come in earlier, he dismissed my priorities for treatment, and he was really patronizing in response to my questions - as if I should dare to question him! He said neither hello in greeting nor goodbye after escorting me out in a way that made me feel like I had been trespassing in his office. It was honestly strange and made me feel about a centimeter tall. I just burst out crying after stepping onto the sidewalk. Never, ever, ever going back again. My next door neighbor later told me she had a very similar experience with him years prior. I imagine working for him feels like you're constantly screwing something up and in his way. As someone with a complicated and extensive dental history, I felt so vulnerable and scared to meet with a new dentist, and this experience just left me feeling stupid, embarrassed, and further avoidant. I bumped up my rating to two stars only out of respect for the best damn dental hygienist ever (who ought to find a nicer person to work for). Wish I could just see her.

He was cold, indifferent and rude. Bodie essentially pulled my front tooth without my understanding of my options or consent. He did not care that my insurance or lack of money would force me to walk around toothless for an unbearable period of time. He honestly could care less I assure you. A financially challenged Black woman, he could not care less. And before you say it, it does not matter that he is a man of color. One of the worst dentist I have ever experienced

Best dental experience ever. I had been avoiding going to the dentist for a long time and found out I needed 4 cavities filled. Finding any kind of health providers in Nyack that actually take NY State heath insurance is rare and finding good ones are like unicorns. Dr Bodie is an incredible dentist. The best I have ever had. He's patient and kind and genuinely good company. Anyone would feel relaxed in his chair (which also has a massage function by the way!). I don't have a single cut or sore spot in my whole mouth and the work is so good it's like I never had a cavity in the first place. I really rate the hygenist too. She's great to be around and does such a nice gentle but thorough job. There is usually some good TV or music on which helps. The rest of the staff (assistants and reception) are always pleasant, helpful and in good spirits and send email reminders, which I love. You can even book that way if like me you don't like talking on the phone.
