I graduated from Thibodaux High School in 1974, and attended Nicholls State University. I graduated in 1978 with a degree in chemistry, and minors in math and biology. Then I attended Louisiana State University School of Dentistry and graduated with my Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1982.
The state board requires approximately 20 hours of continuing education a year to maintain licensure. I regularly surpass this requirement; in some years, I have completed more than 100 hours of CE. The field of dentistry is changing and evolving at a rapid pace, and keeping up with the latest information is vital for quality care.
Over 20 years ago, Dr. Wendy Maes began working with me, and thats when I searched and found the best clinicians in the country in order to learn from them. As a result, we offer nearly all dental procedures in our one facility. I continue to get extensive post-doctoral training in all areas of dentistry.
I was born and raised in Thibodaux, LA, and presently live in Prairieville, just minutes away from the office in Geismar. I have been married to my wife Alice for more than 34 years. We met in high school and were married during my junior year in dental school. We have three wonderful children Lacey, Kelly, and Beau and three grandchildren. My greatest passion in my life at this point is my personal relationship with God. I spend most of my thought life now thinking of ways to put a smile on Gods face. As a result of this, I spend more and more of my time giving back to people who are in need of dental care. We are called to help those in need, and one of my greatest feelings of achievement is providing care to such people.

We will talk about the strengths and weaknesses of each option, and answer your questions, so you have the information you need to make an educated decision about your oral health.
The open discussion is a key aspect to our approach to oral healthcare: you need to know that you can come to us with questions and concerns, and believe that we will be honest with you and listen without judgment. We want you to be happy with the care we provide. Should you ever have an issue, please tell us. We cant fix something if we dont know about it.
We understand that some patients have fears about seeing the dentist and we are here to alleviate those fears. One of our treatment options is sedation dentistry. This is particularly effective for patients who have dental-related anxieties, because it allows them to sleep through their treatment and wake remembering nothing of what occurred.

Went in today to finally get my crown implant placed . Staff has always been so sweet . Dr.Landry is the best I've ever experienced my entire 31 years . I've never been more pleased .

This was the most pleasant, professional & compassionate dental visit I've EVER had!!! I lost a filling while brushing my teeth...called Dutchtown Dental & was welcomed the same day! The staff here are great, it's hands-down the best dentist I've gone to. I initially started coming to Dutchtown because they were the only place even remotely close to Baton Rouge that could take me in for a dental emergency (cracked tooth) within 24 hours and I haven't looked back. Very accommodating to working with a variety of insurance plans and FSA's and scheduling. And they've gone above and beyond at times; when I rejected my implant they set me up to be reimplanted at no cost. I really cannot recommend them more highly.

Ashley, the hygienist, is the greatest! She is very personable and gentle! Dr. Landry is the only dentist I will see. His practice is always using the newest and most innovative equipment and techniques! His entire staff is friendly and professional!
