Dr. Duryea earned his degree from the University of Nebraska College of Dentistry in 1982 and his graduate degree from the St. Louis University medical center in 1984. He is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, Rocky Mountain Society of Orthodontics, Colorado Orthodontists Association, American Dental Association, and the Metropolitan Denver Dental Society.
He has been practicing orthodontics in the Denver area for 24 years and has two convenient locations. The Lakewood office is on Alameda, just west of Union and the Littleton office is on the corner of Pierce and Ken Caryl.
Dr. Duryea is a dedicated family man and is married with two children. They have just added a Bishon dog named Casey to their family. Dr. Duryea enjoys football (the Nebraska Corn Huskers and the Denver Broncos), skiing, biking, swimming, and spending time with his family.
Dr. Duryeas goal is to provide a healthy and confident smile to all of his patients. He takes pride in his work and takes it very seriously, yet Dr. Duryea and his team do it in a fun way. He wants his patients to enjoy coming to see him.
Danni joined Dr. Duryeas team in September 2019. She worked as a dental office manager prior to spending the last 12 years as a stay at home mom. Danni has three children, and enjoys spending time with them; whether its in the mountains, at their sports activities,volunteering at their school,or cuddled up on the couch watching a movie. Danni moved here 11 years ago from Michigan, where her extended family lives, so she enjoys getting back to visit a couple times a year.In her personal time, youll find Danni walking her Mini Golden doodle,Stafford (named after Detroit Lions QB), or enjoying some other forms of fitness, and catching up with friends and loved ones. Gina has been working with Dr. Duryea and team for 3 years. This is her first time working in the dental industry. Upon finishing college, Gina was a corporate Travel Manager & Meeting Planner for 10 years. During her time in the Travel Industry, Gina and her husband of 33 years traveled extensively experiencing all that this fabulous world has to offer. Gina had the privilege of being a stay at home mother after the births of her two children. Both her children now proudly have Duryea smiles. In her personal time, Gina enjoys traveling, cooking, reading,and listening to live music with her husband. Interesting fact Gina loves to cook and was once a Personal Chef for a local prominent family here in town.
Kristen is one of the newest team members and has been in the dental field for many years. She received her Associates Degree, Allied Health/Dental Assisting from Rose State College in 1987, and was an office manager prior to having children. She has two children, whom she is very proud of, and she loves animals. Kristen is a Yoga instructor, enjoys reading, movies, and likes to take walks with her new pup. In her spare time, Kristen offers Reiki to animals and people. Interesting factKristen would like to volunteer with Life Spark, so that she may offer Reiki to cancer patients
Sandy has been with Dr. Duryea for over 20 years. She has three children, a cat and a dog that keep her very busy. Sandy has a cabin in the mountains, where she spends her free time, if she has any after running her kids to all their sporting events. She was born and raised in Sacramento, California, and played softball throughout high school. Her daughter is following her footsteps and also playing softball. An interesting fact about Sandy Her distant cousin is famous baseball player, Mickey Mantel
Amanda has been with Dr. Duryea and team for a year; this is her first job in the dental field and she loves it. Prior to working with Dr. Duryea, Amanda was a stay at home mom to her four children. Amanda loves to travel, enjoys the outdoors, camping, indoor cycling, NFL Football, and visiting different National Parks. She drives for Uber and Lyft in her spare time. Interesting fact.Amanda has lived in Wyoming, Utah, Arizona, and Colorado.

I'm a 64 year old woman that never wore braces. When I came to Dr. Duryea's office I was looking to improve my bite which was way off. One dentist told me that Invisalign's were out of the question due to the severity of my bite. Dr. Duryea did not hesitate, he put me into a set of Invisaligns and 18 months later my bite and smile are perfect! The staff is incredibly professional and friendly. I've never had to wait to be seen and most of the time I was in and out. I would highly recommend this office to anyone, not just teens!

Dr Duryea and staff were amazing today. So I had hip surgery 4 weeks ago, still using crutches and can't sit in a regular chair yet. Today I had a long hour and 1/2 appointment. They were so nice and accommodating. Can't thank them enough.

The technicians are amazing, but they are not the problem. Never had a problem until I needed a retainer. I paid $500 for a new retainer, and they gave me the worst fitting retainer I've ever had. It did not hold my teeth in place and made me bleed. I asked to have them remade because I paid a lot of money to get a good retainer. The doctor insisted I had to pay another $500 if I wanted them remade. He argued with me for several minutes before "dismissing" me and agreeing to make me a new retainer. He was very rude even though I never raised my voice. He was rude to me the next time I visited as well. It was unprofessional considering I was simply asking for a decent retainer after I paid half a grand for it. My sister and I have gone here for years and collectively spent nearly $15k in ortho costs. I'm dissapointed it ended this way.

Amazing results!!! I am a second time patient, (didn't follow doctors orders for retainer wear.) Came back due to shifting and was treated with the same kindness and respect that I remembered. Dr. Duryua is a true treasure when it comes to orthodontic care and will always make sure you leave with the perfect smile!

Duryea Orthodontics has been a life changing experience! From the beginning I can tell how much they care for their patients. I personally went through the Invisalign treatment and it has been smooth all the way through. Their financing is simple and they work with you on payments and they make sure you are comfortable and happy all the way through. Highly recommend them - especially if you are thinking of Invisalign! I thank this team for being so great and giving me the smile I've been wanting!

My mom went to Dr. Duryea when she was a kid and now that's where I went to get my braces! Dr. Duryea is the best! My journey with my braces felt like it was forever but it's all worth it! I had to wear a bite jumper my first year and 2 full years of braces. Dr. Duryea is the orthodontist to go to!

Things have gone smoothly so far. They are great here, interacted positively with my son and involved him in the discussion. He's sore but that's to be expected. UPDATE: we just wrapped treatment with my son and started my daughter today. I appreciate how staff speak to and engage the child going through the treatment and not just the parent. Helps them own their treatment process.

I would like to thank Dr. Duryea for my orthodontic treatment. He is very knowledgeable and answered all my questions anytime I had an appointment. I liked the fact that the process was not rushed and all my concerns were addressed. Most importantly, I have a beautiful smile now :)

We have been seeing Dr Duryea and his staff for 5 years or so - with two series of braces for my son. It has been a great experience all along the way and he is really great relating to the kids! Such a wonderful outcome now and my son is happy as well.

If you are looking for a good place to get braces I highly recommend Duryea Orthodontics. Every person who works here is amazingly nice and caring. The technology they use is mind-blowing. I got a call the night I got my braces on from Dr. Duryea which was the sweetest thing. He let me know what to expect the next few days and weeks and made sure I was doing okay. Back to the technology. If you are like me and hate having impressions done, great news for you! They have a device where they scan your mouth/teeth instead. I was told sometimes impressions are still needed but it made me so happy to not have to do them. Everyone communicated with me through the process and it made things go so much smoother. I had consultations at other places but none seemed to compare to Duryea Orthodontics. I highly recommend at least getting a consultation and checking them out!

Just got my braces off and they asked me to leave a review. The assistants who do your regular monthly appointments are hit or miss with their skill, and things will go either smoothly and painlessly or they will break a bracket. As a transmasculine person, the assistants are all very good at using my correct name and pronouns, but the doctor is very bad (intentionally or not) at using my correct pronouns, and called me 'girly' and other similar words at every visit.
