Meet Dr. Michael Mehling. He earned his undergraduate degree from Western Michigan University in 1998 and graduated from theUniversity of MichiganDental School in 2002. After graduation, Dr. Mehling practiced in community health dentistry outside Traverse City and continues to provide surgical services for Cherry Street Health Service in downtown Grand Rapids. In April 2007Dr. Mehling joined Dr. Matthew Durham at Durham & Mehling Dental.
He is a member of the American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association, and West Michigan District Dental Society. He also attends continuing education classes in cosmetic, restorative and implant dentistry throughout the year. Dr. Mehling enjoys running, cycling, skiing and spending time with his family. He resides in Rockford, Michigan with his wife and three children.
Dr. Matt Durham received his Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1999 from the University of Detroit-Mercy. Prior to that, he attended Michigan State University. Dr. Durham is a member of the American Dental Association, the Michigan Dental Association, and the West Michigan District Dental Association. Following graduation, Dr. Durham joined the practice of Drs. Felix and VanSlooten where he continues to provide excellence in cosmetic, restorative and implant dentistry.

I highly recommend...I've been coming to this office since I was a little kid and it was Dr Vanslootens office. Dr Mehling took over and he was awesome...then I got married and relocated to the Muskegon area and tried going to my wife's dentist (Community Shores Dental, Dr Christopher Sortman) and they replaced the fillings on the right side of my mouth and it was terrible..I was in a lot of pain and it took over a year before my teeth felt normal again and the discomfort to subside. I went back there and told them 6 months later that I was in a lot of discomfort and couldn't chew food normally on the right side of my mouth without discomfort and they said that was normal...I never went back there again. I came back to Dr Mehling and he replaced one of my old fillings and I had no pain or discomfort whatsoever. A true professional who knows what he's doing. His staff is great also..I'll keep doing the 40 mile drive and coming here

I recently developed a serious wisdom tooth infection but was without a dentist. After being referred to Durham & Mehling, I called and was able to schedule an appointment the very next day. From the moment I walked in their office, Dr. Mehling and his staff treated me like a longtime patient. After prescribing an antibiotic and answering all my questions, Dr. Mehling personally took the time to help me contact local oral surgeons until we found one who could quickly schedule my wisdom tooth extraction. His office even called a few days after my surgery just to make sure I was doing ok. If you are looking for a dentist who truly cares about their patient's experience, I highly recommended Durham & Mehling DDS PC.

The dentist office of Durham & Mehling is wonderful! They get you in right away for appointments and do everything that needs to be done well. They are great about fitting you in if you have a problem too. I highly recommend this office.
