What typically happens in a dental office is that the mercury from the silver fillings would get sucked up into the water lines, so we have invested in a safe way to keep mercury out of our water and help the environment just a bit.
I have trained extensively with the Schuster Center for Professional Development, and am a Level 3 Bioesthetic Dentist (the only one in Indiana). I completed Dave Ramseys Entreleadership Master Series, have the heart of a teacher, and operate from a value-based perspective.
I have been a Registered Dental Hygienist since May 2001, when I earned my degree from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. I am board certified to work in both Kentucky and Indiana. My husband, Chris, and I have two sons who are the light of our lives. I have many hobbies but at the top of my list is definitely shopping and spending time with my family. As I began college, I declared my major as nursing, but wasnt satisfied with my decision. After realizing my obsession for teeth, switching from nursing to dental hygiene was a positive career move. The natural blend of those two medical professions were great for me. The biggest reward of my job is the that I get to work with people and practice what I truly enjoy. I always look forward to seeing my patients and helping them achieve the smile they are proud of.
I am a 2005 graduate of the Academy of Dental Assisting where I earned my degree as a dental assistant. I joined Dr. Durbins team in January 2005. I graduated from the University of Louisvilles Expanded Duties Dental Assisting program. I have been happily married to my husband and best friend since August 2005, and we have two wonderful kids.
I have worked in healthcaresince 1999. I switchedfrom nursing/medical to dental in 2006.I love helping patients achieve a smile they are proud of and one that gives them confidence that they 've been searching for. I 've been married for 20 years and have 3 amazingsons. I love coming to a job everyday that doesn 'tfeel like work, the atmosphere and my peers make it feel just like 'Home'.I 'm thefirst person our patients talk to and see as they enter our office, I make sure they leave here feeling at ease and that they 've had the best experience they can possibly have.

Made a change from a well known dentist in the area who repeatedly disappointed our family with the quality of work. Dawn Durbin and her team are SO impressive! Being a small practice almost tucked away, I didn't have my hopes too high. Thankfully the Durbin family practice was GREAT Treated my emergent problem that day and scheduled my appointment to fix the rest. Love them & will be scheduling the rest of the family with them too.

I am a new paitent of Dr. Durbin. I had several teeth that needed prompt attention. Her office was able to schedule me in quickly. I am very apprehensive about going to the dentist because of past experiences but Dr. Durbin and her staff made it such a comfortable experience that I was able to return to work the same day. She explained everything that was being done as it was happening which gave me a better understanding about my teeth. I would definitely recommend this office and it's services to anyone looking for a new dentist.

I drive from Jeffersonville for each visit and it's well worth the drive I Love the whole staff. I have been using Dr. Durbin for over 20 years and I have zero complaints.

Dawn and her team are the BEST! My dad and I got teeth whitening procedures done. The staff was very friendly and answered all of my questions clearly. Would recommend to anybody.

I drive over an hour to see Dr. Durbin. There are plenty of dentist in Evansville, Indiana, but not of her echelon. She's well worth the travel.

My experience in this visit was professionally outstanding. Cleaning and bitewing views were on tap for the visit. My only hesitation was that the hygienist was not covid vaccinated. She did wear a mask. Depending on how the Delta variant goes will determine my cleaning here in six months.

Like many people, I'd rather poke a sharp pencil into the corner of my eye than get my teeth drilled on by a Dentist. My visit as a new patient to Dr. Dawn Durbin's office is quickly changing the way I feel about Dentists. My appointment started right on time, but before she ever looked at my teeth, Dr. Durbin actually sat down with me and had a conversation about my previous experiences with dentistry, and together we discussed our goals for my teeth. I've never had a dentist that sat at a table across from me and listened to my toothal concerns! I'm on a good path now with my teeth and I'm even looking forward to my next appointment!
