Dr. Powers was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida. As a student at Florida State University, Dr. Powers was part of the NCAA Cheerleading Team for four years and she had the opportunity to cheer on the 'Noles in the 2014 National Championship. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, fitness, football, basketball, and finding the best restaurants in town.
Dr. Klanderman recently completed seven years of service in the United States Navy Dental Corps. Her first tour was at Great Lakes, Illinois where she maintained a full clinical schedule while completing an Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency. After graduation, she served two years as the sole dentist aboard the amphibious ship USS Fort McHenry (LSD 43), homeported in Norfolk, Virginia. Her responsibilities included not only her own ship's crew, but also the embarked Marine units. During this time, she deployed with Amphibious Squadron Eight to the Fifth and Sixth Fleets in support of the Global War on Terror.
She then transferred to the Naval Air Station in Jacksonville, Florida where her responsibilities included the dental care of flight crews assigned to Commander, Patrol, and Reconnaissance Wing 11 as well as other commands assigned to the base. She was promoted to Lieutenant Commander in September of 2018.
Dr. Klanderman is an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry. She has successfully completed continuing education in CAD-CAM Advanced Digital Dentistry, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Oral Medicine, Oral Radiology, Pharmacology, and General Dentistry Treatment Planning.
Currently, Dr. Klanderman is pursuing advanced education in Implant, Surgical, and Esthetic dentistry. She believes in lifelong learning and emphasizes the importance of being a well- rounded dentist to treat the whole patient.
Dr. Klanderman is a native of Madison, Wisconsin, where her parents, Keith and Deb, as well as her older brother Tim still reside. She was a four-year member of the UW Badger Women's Swim team, earning recognition as an NCAA Division 1 All-American in 2005. Her college experiences, swimming career, and teammates continue to shape her life philosophy.

I had an appt today regarding my Invisalign, which should have resulted in moving into the next step. Instead it was a wasted trip, because back in May when I received my boxes after getting them home I realized they were incorrectly dated. I called the office and explained what had happened and asked if it would create an issue with the appt I had for today because I put my last retainers in today (they need to be in for a week) I was told no, all would be fine. Now they're going to try and fit this appt in next week when I'm scheduled for my cleaning. I love Durbin Creek Dental and have never had any issues, but this left me with a not so happy feeling. I lost work hours for nothing.

I am blown away by the level of compassion, professionalism, and care from Dr. Klanderman and her team. I have had very bad experiences with another dentist in the past that made me weary to seek care, but now I have found a dentist that I know I can trust. They fit me in on the same day for an urgent visit, listened to every concern I had, thoroughly explained the treatment plan to me, helped alleviate my pain, and made a future plan for me. They were very transparent with their pricing, which is a rare thing in the medical field. Dr. Klanderman even personally called me the next day to check on me, which I appreciated so much. I wish I could give them more than 5 stars, but I am so happy to have found a dentist I can trust.

Try to get my Xray they were so rude, they made me drive all the way to sign the paper, and I waited3 days and made five phone calls to get it done and not sure if they sent me the right thing

The Front Staff is absolutely amazing. Friendly, attentive, and clearly understood. My cleaning also went very well. The Hygienist was friendly, gentle, and informative. I would recommend to friends and family.

The dentist, Elizabeth Klanderman, DMD was treating both myself and I. I refused Invisalign treatment, so the office hounded me for weeks to receibe "recommendedtreatment.". I told them to stop harassing me Then I reminded the Dentist that my wife had been referred to an oral surgeon for tooth removal prior to getting full dentures. No follow-up, no calls, emails, or text messages to obtain "recommended treatment." Today 7/6/2022, we were to meet with Elizabeth Klanderman, DMD to coordinate care. No effort to get the referral note from the surgeon, no communication between offices. After an hour if being ignored, we left. This appears to be a "shell" dental practice to sell Imvusalign treatment ONLY. All other care is secondary. This is illegal in a medical practice (I am an internationally known Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrician with over 40 years experience). This is MALPRACTICE. Ronald L. Very disappointed with this location. I made an appointment 2 months ago. TWO. I receive a text message, not even a phone call that they won't even have a doctor in the day of my appointment and they can see me today due to a cancellation. Not everyone can drop what there doing and find last minute child care to watch there child to go to a dentist. You schedule an appointment that works with your schedule so you can plan accordingly. I called this location to express my frustrations to find out that I was already canceled due to a doctor not even being in. Back to square one on having to find a new reliable dentist. Also, call your patients instead of sending a text message.
