Dr. Ludu hails from Vancouver, British Columbia. When he was a child, he constantly dreamed of becoming a professional ice hockey player in the NHL like most boys in Canada, but eventually, he decided he was better suited to a life of dentistry. Over the years, Dr. Ludu has practiced in several states, including New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, and Arizona. He eventually decided to make Washington State his home. Our patients enjoy his impressive level of experience, his precise skill, his speed, as well as his ability to keep advanced procedures like root canal therapy and extractions virtually painless. He is fully committed to both his valued patients and our wonderful staff members.
Dr. Ludu attended the University of British Columbia and earned a bachelors in biochemistry with a minor in chemistry. From there, he proceeded to the Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, eventually obtaining his doctorate. He also met his wonderful wife at Tufts! In addition to his schooling, Dr. Ludu attended an advanced surgical training course at Peninsula Hospital in Far Rockaway, New York, and he has completed numerous continuing education courses on topics such as implantology and endodontics (the study of root canals) over the past three decades. He has also undergone a mini residency in dental sleep medicine.
Dr. Sharma spent her early years in North Cambridge, Massachusetts. Her approach to patient care is always infused with her love for family, her natural maternal instinct, and her high level of clinical experience. She enjoys being a part of a dental office that is of the mom and pop style. She helps our patients receive the personalized treatment they deserve and always reviews their options with them in a simple and straightforward manner.
Dr. Sharma attended Boston College and graduated with her bachelors in biology and mathematics before moving onto the Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. Later, she chose to undertake a year-long General Practice Residency at the Boston VA Medical Center. During that time, her care was primarily focused on patients with medically compromised head and neck oncology. She then provided quality general dental care to patients in New York and New Jersey at demanding dental office before deciding to bring her skills to Washington State over 20 years ago.

These people are absolutely amazing! We are from Charlotte, NC and were here visiting our son who is in the army. My temporary crown popped off Thursday night 10/27 and I called their office pleading for help. They squeezed me in the next morning and did an amazing job repairing the temporary crown. They treated me like i had been a patient for years and made me feel very welcome. The entire process took about 45 minutes and was told there was no charge. Thanks so much to the entire staff!!!

I visited this dental office after a referral from JBLM. I had 2 separate appointments, the first appointment was with the male dentist. He began with good conversation, but then it became weird. He repeatedly mentioned the "hood" insinuating that I was from the "hood" because of my skin color. He stated "the gas is always cheaper in the hood" and later talked about how one of the banks in Fife, WA had bars on the windows while working in my mouth. I sat there in shock, mainly because he was also a minority so I was disturbed by these comments. This was very unprofessional, and it was very sad to see a minority with this mentality. His assistant was very nice though and i do not believe she shared the same sentiments. The second appointment was with the wife, and honestly that is why I gave one star because surprisingly she was more pleasant than the husband, but after reading other reviews, maybe I wasn't there long enough to see if she was worse with stereotyping. I really wanted to give this dental office a chance but the experience I had was very unsettling. If you are a minority, I do not recommend you and/or your family members receive dental care from this place.

I recently had a dental appointment for my 10 yr old son. The dentist Dr. Sharma was extremely disrespectful and condescending to him about his flossing habits. She kept badgering him about how often he flosses and it made him feel extremely uncomfortable. My son felt sad and scared by her repeated questions. Once he answered her questions she continued to ask him again expecting a different answer. I stopped the situation and told her to address me and she ignored my request and kept badgering my son. Once I expressed my disgust about her behavior, she changed her tone. I understand the dental and administrative staff cannot go against the Dr. However, I wish someone would of spoke up besides me. I am completely disappointed by Dr. Sharma's behavior and the other dental staff (Rachel, the dental assistant). I will not be going back to that dental office. I do not recommend Dr. Sharma or the dental assistant Rachel.

Dr. John has been my dentist since I was 6 (34 now!) and he has always been fantastic. I've needed dental implants for some years and have recently moved to Portland. I got an estimate from a dentist in town and it was going to be an outrageous price. They told me I would need all sorts procedures to get my implants done properly and that it would take at least a year to finish the job. So I decided to call John and I am so glad that I did. I went in for a consult and, as always, John put me at ease. He assured me that I didn't need all the bells in whistles that I was being offered from the other place. He also said he could do it at a lower cost, and that the process would only take about four months! So I decided to make the two hour drive to Dupont to get the procedure done. It was a no brainer. Admittedly I was nervous before the procedure but once again John calmed me down. I knew I was in good hands. John put in two implants completely pain-free and very quickly. He and his staff work together like a well-oiled machine. It was a cinch! The assistant was also very kind, helpful, and knowledgable. Post surgery was a breeze also. I've had no pain whatsoever and aside from a little swelling I wouldn't know I had anything done. I got back to work quickly as well. I am so happy with the whole process. John is the man! If you are thinking about getting implants or any other procedure - GO SEE JOHN! I want to thank everyone at Dupont Family Dentist. I've wanted dental implants for nearly twenty years and I finally have them! Thank you all!

I have been a loyal client of this office for over 18 years. Initially going to the dentist was one of my biggest fears and I've come along way since then. I never thought I would say that a dentist was amazing, but these guys really are. The staff is very compassionate and the Dentist are super professional. I am a lifelong customer and would highly recommend them to anyone who is nervous or apprehensive about going to the dentist.

I want to publicly thank Dr. Sharma and the lovely dental assistant Rachel for being honest with me about my dental hygiene - it needed improvement. I thought I was doing okay - I wasn't. I appreciate Dr. Sharma's straight forward and honest approach and am very thankful for Rachel's expert guidance to show me the proper techniques for brushing and flossing. I took what they said to heart, put it into practice and am happy to say it has turned around my dental health. The whole office is warm and welcoming - Abby makes it so easy to schedule appointments and deal with insurance and Dr. Ludu is amazing with tooth extractions - you will think he waved a magic wand. I highly recommend DuPont Family Dentistry.

I became a dental patient of Dr Ludu's & Dr Sharma's when they were practicing out in Maple Valley many, many years ago. When they closed their office in Maple Valley, I became a patient at their White River Junction office, in South Auburn, because I didn't want to switch dentists. They had earned my trust and loyalty over the years. When they sold their White River Junction office a few years back, Dr Sharma refused to see me until after I had gone back there and asked the new buyer/dentist if I could be released from their client list, which he granted. I now drive from Maple Valley all of the way down to their DuPont offices just to obtain their care. What do I know about dentists? Well when I finally hung up my hockey skates, I swapped my flipper out for an implant which Dr Ludu did for me. I strongly recommend their practice!!!

The doctor that pulled my wife's wisdom teeth did an amazing job. After the surgery she had no complications. She had the fastest recovery of anyone I know that had wisdom teeth out. Also they let me sit with her during the surgery which helped her out a lot. I definitely would recommend this place to get wisdom teeth removed.

I am from out of town and had part of a crown break off. I am extremely dental phobic but needed to have this taken care of right away. I called Dupont Family Dentistry and they got me in right away. The staff was terrific and very friendly. They took 2 x-rays and then Dr. Sharma looked at my tooth and explained that I had a metal crown and the part that came off was a veneer on the outside. She said that the crown was intact and that I didn't need the veneer replaced unless I wanted to have it done. The crown cannot be seen as it is the furthest back tooth in my mouth. I was expecting to have to pay a lot to replace the crown. I was thrilled and highly recommend Dupont Family Dentistry and Dr. Sharma.

My Husband and I got our cleanings done and they were so patient, friendly and informative. We both need fillings and will be going back in a few weeks. I just moved to WA a few months ago and they will be my new dental office. Bonus note, they have blankets for you while you freeze your butt off in the chair lol that's super nice.
